When I first heard about how Kama got burnt to ashes for following the orders of the other gods I always felt sorry for him and thought the other gods were douches.
Not all the gods of any pantheon are benevolent nor fair. Take the Greek gods, for example. Many of them handled being bested rather poorly and they punished mortals waaaaaaay more than they rewarded them. That is why they feared the Greek gods more than they honored them. Hermes tells Odysseus in the Odyssey, "Do not incur Zeus' wrath." Hermes says this because making Zeus angry is very real and very horrible.

This is literally my head canon. I am about to do LB4 after I finish Ooku. I got Kama (NP3!!!) on this banner. I imagine her in Chaldea like "I'll help, I GUESS" and then slowly but surely figuring out where we're headed next and being like FUCK FUCK FUCK

Kama, the single most powerful Servant in my Chaldea. I fear that I'll have to try for NP5 during her rerun purely to see the full might of her love.

INDRA forced Kama to shoot the arrow at shiva . Intially kama feared what shiva would do if he found out about it as he already have seen his father Brahma was scared when shiva appeared to punish him . But Indra ordered kama he must do it or else all the devas would suffer and Indra would close his throne to Asuras . Indra is always known to abuse Kama's powers to inflict lust by ordering him to distrupt any sages who is penancing . Indra always suspects people of trying to steal the throne from him so whenever he suspects someone of it he sends kama & his wife Rati to mislead them . He also usually sends his court dancers to seduce sages . Poor kama got very bad superior . I feel bad for him getting burned just because Indra is being an ass and his wife Rati saw his husband getting burnt infront of her eyes 😢.

So that's why Kama took the form of Sakura, not only because so he could spite the other Sakura clone but also due to her going through tragedy.........Shit my friend was right this series DOES love to screw Sakura over way too much. At least I got some historical information about Kama through but still, leave Sakura alone universe, poor girl went through too much. Anyway, soild video Dai!

remember when people expected the Dark Sakura pseudo servant to be Kali? me neither
but I'm glad it turned out like this, Kama is great and definitely one of my favorite Sakurafaces. I love the duality with Parvati which made me dig more into Indian mythology and now find myself liking all the pantheon lol

The concept of a dark/evil Kama also makes me think of Bhandāsura, an Asura that was created from the ashes of Kama. He performed severe austerities to please Lord Shiva, for which he was rewarded with the boon that whoever dared to fight Bhandāsura would forfeit half of his strength and masculinity to him. He became king of the Asuras and caused terror throughout the universe. The Gods feared him and prayed to Goddess Adi Parashakti to save the universe from Bhandāsura. She answered by taking the form of Lalita Tripura Sundari, and she, along with her army of goddesses, defeated Bhandāsura.
Fun Fact: Lalita Tripura Sundari holds a sugarcane bow and flower arrows, similar to Kama in some depictions.
Well the actual mythology is a bit different from fate. In the mythology Kama gets reicarnated as Krishna's son. And Kama has a wife who kept waiting for Kama to reincarnate and grow up again when Shiva told her that he will be reincarnated as Krishna's son

I can appreciate the art for all of her ascensions. Since I am a fan of well done art even though like 90% of the art for fate is designed with guys in mind or at least that's how it seems.
If the art were catered to women, what would you expect to see instead?
@@otakudaikun well to be honest personally I think if there going to depict the female servants wearing less with each ascension then why should the male servants get the same treatment. I'm sure I'm not the only woman that wouldn't mind seeing some of the male servants wearing as little clothing. For example why can't the last ascension pic for Heracles be him in a provocative position in just a loincloth. Just saying lol

Kama, Ishtar and Aphrodite going to war for only one to be the goddess of love or work together to control every one. Imagine gudao is forced to choose between kama, Ishtar and Aphrodite to say who is the most beautiful like how Paris had to choose between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite in Greek myth.
Ishtar is the answer, but Kama is second.

Kama was tasked with building temple at one of the "Satipit"(One of the place where part of Sati's body fell after her death) to get a corporeal form this temple is known as "Kamrup Kamakha". For finishing this he was reincarnated as a son of Krisna called "Pradyuma".

The Gods really do love to screw with each other. Kama did not deserve that, no matter how cool her demonic looking form may be . I guess I really need to watch the rest of the Fate anime since so many servants use Rin and Sakura as vessels .

My favorite ascension is the 3rd one 👀🤭, I find Kama's backstory sad but it doesn't excuse what she tried to do in the labyrinth singularity 😅,too much of something is a bad thing
