They never fail to give Kama lots of love and dedication and since she's my favorite servant I'm genuinely happy I wouldve preferred her to be a Archer to fit the lore better but the summer events storyline makes sense why she's an avenger, got 2 years to save up can't wait

Summer Kama is, at her core, essentially a variant on Spishtar who is focused more on stacking debuffs, burst Damage, more survival tools, and is technically better at looping her NP. She has consistent NP Steroids between her S1 and S2, though not unconditionally (put a pin in that for now), and her S3 is both the coveted 50% NP Battery has a rather neat gimmick of ramping her Damage through a stacking multi-turn buff, making it a inverse of Foreigner Hok Hok's own S3. To put the sakura petal on top of her kit is her NP, an Arts AoE spectacular which has 4 Hits, inflicts three turns of Defense Down, and does rare Super Effective Damage against Charmed Enemies, which her S2 conveniently inflicts upon ALL. Combined with Self-Restoration and her in-kit Arts Buff, and she can just fire off NPs one after another almost regardless of enemy count, smothering them in her infernal affection before vaporizing them from existence! As with many things in life, however, the angry demoness excellence doesn't come without a few caveats. For starters, her main Damage Steroid are tied to her hard survival tools. Her S1's Evasion is at least Protection from Arrows-esqe, making popping it for the Arts Buff willy nilley less of a stumbling block, but what IS that her S2's Charm Effect is a 1 Turn Debuff tied to a 3 Turn NP Damage Up. That puts you in a multi-fold delimea right off the bat - you either have to save it for the last wave to get the fullest benefit and tank your first two wave's of Damage, burn it right at the start for more consistent damage with a far lower ceiling on it, or hold onto it for an indefinite amount of time if the Stun Effect is relevant for a given fight and thereby drop your NP's effectiveness dramatically. And the kicker? Charm is a _Debuff_ , which means even Max Ranked her S2 it's still not guaranteed against any Servant or Mob with a smidgen of Magic Resistance, and it outright fails against any form of Debuff Immunity or Mental Debuff/Charm Protection. Which in effect means that even optimal usage of her S2 can just outright be negated by the dread RNGesus or a Boss packing sufficient protection, and therefore becomes a massive pain in the arse to work with at times. This problem extends to the rest of her kit's debuffs as well, so ultimately the reality is that her maximum Damage can be frustratingly hard to achieve in the wrong situations or if fate just wants to give you the middle finger. And even if everything lines up the nature of Debuffs means that you won't be carrying them to the next Wave, so at bare minimum you can only factor in her 50% Damage Up from her S1 and S2. Compare and Contrast that to Space Ishtar's. Sure, she can only reliably have 20% ATK Up from her Skills per Wave, BUT her NP gives her a pre-Cast 20% NP Damage Up (and MORE at higher levels of OC) per use and her S2 grants another 20% NP Damage up that is both Hit Based AND lasts for 3 turns (making it flexible with the Invul it's paired with). By Wave 1 she has a minimum of 40% NP Damage Steroids' - or 60%-80% if she uses her S2 early and her S3 procs the relevant Card Type Buff - and it only scales harder from there per wave and external buffs. So from a DPS perspective Summer Kama loses out hard to Spishtar, and as a result largely interior in farming scenarios or any situation you'd want to spam a NP over and over. In CQs, however....that's when things get spicy. Assuming all her Buffs are active, you get her debuffs to stick, and you've managed to get 5 stacks of her S3's Debuff on a target, then her one turn Damage goes a little something like this: (30% + 20% + 50% ) = 100% Damage Up, which ran through the 150% Super Effective Damage bonus......woof, that's some BIG HURT right there, ESPECIALLY for a AoE NP. How meaningful that actually is can be up to debate - Break Bars continue to do an excellent job of stonewalling one-turn burst damage, and this being an AoE NP only brings it Damage up to ST numbers rather than EXTREME - but a feather in her cap is a feather in her cap, so let's not be too negative here. Coupled with her Invul and Charm and she can end up Surviving a whole lot of BS only to hit back hard when the enemy is all tuckered out from wasting the rest of her team. Yeah, only her Charm could be considered helpful for the rest of her teammates lives, and usually you'd want to use it to turn on her Super Effective Damage, but again let's be positive! Not like they matter if Kama wins the fight in the end, right? Usually I don't mention partners, but it has got to be mentioned that Kama get's almost exponentially better if you have Assassin Kama paired up with her. Sure the Deck/NP Mismatches between them are rough, but OG Kama can help lower Charm Resist with her S3 and/or use her own NP to put Charm on an opponent, taking a whole lot of pressure off you popping Summer Kama's S2 whenever you like. Cas Gil and OG BB can also help against enemies with obnoxiously high Magic Resistance too, so don't forget to bring them as well if need be! So, the final verdict: is Summer Kama good? Yes, but she's largely inferior to Spishtar in most use cases. If what you want is a Class Agnostic Farmer Space Ishtar does it better, and that's discounting the other good and well-established ones like Dantes and Morgan. The blued babe shines much brighter in CQs and the like, but the Debuff heavy nature of her kit means that there will be just times where she just gets stuffed, and her NP being AoE instead of ST does her no favors against individual monsters or bosses. Still, Summer Kama is still pretty dang strong enough to cut it for most content, so If you're playing JP and missed out on Spishtar and her contemporaries she's quite the value pick. For those that DO have well established accounts or play NA, however, you'd be better off skipping her outside of waifu reasons and wait for more traditionally powerful Extra Class Servant to break out the SQ.

Nice write-up Dunno how the dmg compares but with Kama s2 having a 7 turn cd and the charm being only 1 turn (with a good chance of being resisted by many bosses), it makes it hard to maximize her dmg And none of the current top supports have charm Her NP does apply an extra 3t def down post-NP though which adds some utility
@@okers12 From what I've trawled from the interweb, Kama has a higher W3 damage than Spishtar unless Oberon or additonal Plug Supports can beef the later up, so if W1 and W2 are not too bulky then S.K. can potentially do without her S2 buff until the last one. That, and the flexibility of when she can turn on that extra damage makes her useful against certain +90 Nodes, and her S3 can help stack on just a little extra damage on her NP against 1 BIG target, though don't quote me on how effective this will be in practice. Ultimately her Damage Ceiler is higher than Spishtar's with only her kit and the DCS, but the burst and Debuff nature of it makes it less consistent than Spishtar's (even if we factor in the RNG of her S3). That, and Spishtar is pretty much the best Servant when it comes to future proofing, due to how silly good her NP Type Swap has become.
Even if she was bad for gameplay she’d be a MUST summon because she’s a top tier waifu. OG Kama is really hot but also kinda scary. On the other hand, avenger Kama is EVEN HOTTER, and she’s IN LOVE WITH MC, which is EXTREMELY cute.
So, you are a free2play, who horded yourself about more than 600 SQ and are now considering, whether you should roll for an NP2 summer Kama ? Before you roll on an SSR banner, ask yourself this questions: 1) Are you really in love with a genderbend diety or do you just want an aoe looper ? 2) Now if that's just an aoe looper you want, try to remember if you allready got yourself a Skadi. If you did, then those 600+ SQ would really be much better spent on an NP5 Lancelot/Fran 3) You don't have Skadi, okay, do you have Castoria/Tamamo or Nero bride(those are all SSRs too btw) ? Kama won't loop her NP without them. 4) You do have one of them ? Okay, do you allready have summer Musashi or space Ishtar ? If you do, then you don't need Kama. 5) So, you don't have either of them. My advice: save yourself 570+ SQ by rolling for Salieri instead, after that, just get yourself some more NP lvls for Castoria/Tamamo/Nero bride. 6) You don't have Salieri/don't want to wait for his banner ? Easy, you put a non-mlb scope on Arash, another non-mlb scope on Spartacus, then clear the third wave, using any friend summoned aoe unit, that has a superscope equiped on them. Look for those Tamamo Cats first. But Morgans and Arjuna Alters work too)
Here I am debating rolling for Spishtar and Skadi in October and Novemeber on NA. I already have a Tamamo, Jeanne Archer, np5 Saleiri, np 5 Sieg, Np2 Melt Lancer, and some other aoe Arts np units. Really I should just save my $510 and roll for Castoria next year. thats 6 of the most costly Quartz package, and i'd have a year to save free quartz. But I have so many Quick NP units at NP 2 who want love. Zerkerlot, Fran, Tama Cat, Valkyrie, Achilles, Rider Ishtar, Hessian Lobo, Bradamante. On the one hand, I have absurd luck regardless of whaling, but is Skadi worth it, or should I just wait on her till her next banner. Also I want Morgan. No matter what. I suppose I could wait on Spishtar till her rerun, try for Castoria, then roll for Spishtar on her rerun. Besides, I've seen videos saying she needs NP 2 to be usable.
@@wickederebus If that is Tamamo Caster you have, then you don't need Castoria for arts looping purposes. Level up Paracelsus's skills(3 star caster), use a friend support Castoria/Tamamo/Nero bride/Paracelsus, whoever you come upon first, plug suit mystic code switch for you own Tamamo(caster, the one, that gives + 50% arts up for 3 turns). 3 looper supports. a looper unit and a limit broken kaleidoscope - is all you need to loop. I would say to just forget about Skadi at this point - if you can loop with arts, just roll for more NP lvls or waifus.

I almost skipped Kama because, while I actually like OG Kama, this was a summer version (historically not always the best servants, with exceptions of course), also an Avenger so no type advantage and also also I just dropped most of my SQ on getting Summer Okita Alter... after I had OG Saber drop and sucking up a 5* drop spot. ... So long story short now she's my universal farmer at NP2 along with 2 Castorias and a LB'd Black Grail.

An AOE Arts unit with a 3-turn color buff, a 3-turn NP steriod, 50% charge, special attack damage, AND supereffective damage. So you have a looper on top of a CQ monster. I would seriously like to know what the hell they were smoking during her design process.

Do keep in mind Space Ishtar will still be good until Kama comes out. Unless you also already have Zerk Musashi, having Ishtar will just make farming more convenient until Kama comes around.
Spishtar comes in a month or so, kama in 2 years. Spishtar can buster loop on top of art loop (plus quick i guess). Spishtar in the right setup can get ~ 335% damage up from oberon's third skill ALONE (and then you add all of the other buffs), which is the highest of any sevants iirc. Spishtar is a rinface. Here is your answer. We don't know quite yet who is better in what scenario, but skipping spishtar just because kama _might_ be a tiny bit better (emphasis on might because the other way around is just as likely) is just non sensical. At this point the question is "should i get kama if i have spishtar" and to that the answer seems to be no. There's too much good stuff this year between vitch, oberon, melusine or even morgan and okitan. You have limited funds and if you have spishtar i really don't see the point of getting kama if you are chasing the meta.
Just summon the one you like more. Both very good servants, although space ishtar seems to be better at farming, so if you only want the best servant than I guess summon space ishtar.
I'm playing the NA version so for now I'm pulling on the Murasaki banner, I'll get space Ishtar with paid quarz on the new year banner. For Kama and Anastasia summer, I simply have to wait.

I will be getting both, but if I was you I would factor in the opportunity cost as well. Space Ishtar lands in mere weeks, while Kama rocking a flame bikini will arrive in 2 years. During the next 2 years, Space Ishtar would serve you well.
She is alright. Def NOT a "must-have" unit or some meta-breakers like Vitch but I think she is workable. The big problem is her competition: Space Ishtar is just a much better servant period. While Kama has a higher attack than Space Ishtar I think the 20% Attack buff that Ishtar has completely outclasses anything Kama has to offer besides maybe the Charm gimmick? which wont see any usage in farming most of the times. Kama can loop BETTER than Space Ishtar as she has a better NP hit count AND an additional Arts buff but thats... too bad tbh. Arts DOES NOT have any problems with looping so Kama's advantage is... not worth mentioning tbh. Her damage only skyrocks with Charm gimmick which can easily miss on some high debuff resist mobs (which is like... 70% of all servants in the game). At the end of the day Kama Avenger is an insane servant being brought down due to her competition being TOO FIERCE. Space Ishtar is just straight up Kama 2.0 despite being released earlier and thats all bout it tbh. I'm glad DW took it easy this time and didnt release yet another insane meta servant like Vitch that you just simply CANNOT operate certain comps without having certain units. A solid 8/10 for me she is alright but doesnt serve any purpose that has already been fullfilled, she doesnt change the game at a fundamental level nor replace the top dogs in her class. IF you already have Space Ishtar just skip imho Summer Kama is just a legit very good servant but NOWHERE near the broke shit that is Space Ishtar.
Who cares about how broken is she or not. Just look at the sprites and FA that alone is already trillion times better than sphistar is ever going to be. Definitely a must have. U can't convince me otherwise. I would burn my sphistar for her gladly.

They are extremely similar so you can use literally the one you like. While Space Ishtar has the snowball effect Kama NP has practically 10k more of damage by default even not counting the gimmicks, so things even up even if they have different damage ceilings depending on the waves. Also i am talking about Arts because Space Ishtar is currently outclassed even by some year one servants in quick and buster configurations.

Here I am debating rolling for Spishtar and Skadi in October and Novemeber on NA.
I already have a Tamamo, Jeanne Archer, np5 Saleiri, np 5 Sieg, Np2 Melt Lancer, and some other aoe Arts np units.
Really I should just save my $510 and roll for Castoria next year.
thats 6 of the most costly Quartz package, and i'd have a year to save free quartz.
But I have so many Quick NP units at NP 2 who want love. Zerkerlot, Fran, Tama Cat, Valkyrie, Achilles, Rider Ishtar, Hessian Lobo, Bradamante.
On the one hand, I have absurd luck regardless of whaling, but is Skadi worth it, or should I just wait on her till her next banner.
Also I want Morgan. No matter what.
I suppose I could wait on Spishtar till her rerun, try for Castoria, then roll for Spishtar on her rerun.
Besides, I've seen videos saying she needs NP 2 to be usable.
@@wickederebus If that is Tamamo Caster you have, then you don't need Castoria for arts looping purposes.
Level up Paracelsus's skills(3 star caster), use a friend support Castoria/Tamamo/Nero bride/Paracelsus, whoever you come upon first, plug suit mystic code switch for you own Tamamo(caster, the one, that gives + 50% arts up for 3 turns). 3 looper supports. a looper unit and a limit broken kaleidoscope - is all you need to loop.
I would say to just forget about Skadi at this point - if you can loop with arts, just roll for more NP lvls or waifus.
@@wickederebus oh and the Kaleidoscope being MLBed is not always necessary. Only for looper units, who don't have their own battery, like Salieri.

In conclusion: I dumped all my SQ on summer Kama anyway cuz she’s best girl, and even if I failed this time, I’ll have another chance next year (hopefully) and another one in 2 years on NA.
I almost skipped Kama because, while I actually like OG Kama, this was a summer version (historically not always the best servants, with exceptions of course), also an Avenger so no type advantage and also also I just dropped most of my SQ on getting Summer Okita Alter... after I had OG Saber drop and sucking up a 5* drop spot.
... So long story short now she's my universal farmer at NP2 along with 2 Castorias and a LB'd Black Grail.
I was lucky enough to pull her Assassain version, but Avenger Kama being an Arts looping servant sounds even more amazing.

An AOE Arts unit with a 3-turn color buff, a 3-turn NP steriod, 50% charge, special attack damage, AND supereffective damage. So you have a looper on top of a CQ monster.

Do keep in mind Space Ishtar will still be good until Kama comes out. Unless you also already have Zerk Musashi, having Ishtar will just make farming more convenient until Kama comes around.

Who do you think I should get Avenger Kama or Space Ishtar
Spishtar comes in a month or so, kama in 2 years. Spishtar can buster loop on top of art loop (plus quick i guess). Spishtar in the right setup can get ~ 335% damage up from oberon's third skill ALONE (and then you add all of the other buffs), which is the highest of any sevants iirc. Spishtar is a rinface.
Here is your answer. We don't know quite yet who is better in what scenario, but skipping spishtar just because kama _might_ be a tiny bit better (emphasis on might because the other way around is just as likely) is just non sensical. At this point the question is "should i get kama if i have spishtar" and to that the answer seems to be no. There's too much good stuff this year between vitch, oberon, melusine or even morgan and okitan. You have limited funds and if you have spishtar i really don't see the point of getting kama if you are chasing the meta.
Just summon the one you like more. Both very good servants, although space ishtar seems to be better at farming, so if you only want the best servant than I guess summon space ishtar.

She is alright. Def NOT a "must-have" unit or some meta-breakers like Vitch but I think she is workable. The big problem is her competition: Space Ishtar is just a much better servant period. While Kama has a higher attack than Space Ishtar I think the 20% Attack buff that Ishtar has completely outclasses anything Kama has to offer besides maybe the Charm gimmick? which wont see any usage in farming most of the times.
Kama can loop BETTER than Space Ishtar as she has a better NP hit count AND an additional Arts buff but thats... too bad tbh. Arts DOES NOT have any problems with looping so Kama's advantage is... not worth mentioning tbh. Her damage only skyrocks with Charm gimmick which can easily miss on some high debuff resist mobs (which is like... 70% of all servants in the game).
At the end of the day Kama Avenger is an insane servant being brought down due to her competition being TOO FIERCE. Space Ishtar is just straight up Kama 2.0 despite being released earlier and thats all bout it tbh. I'm glad DW took it easy this time and didnt release yet another insane meta servant like Vitch that you just simply CANNOT operate certain comps without having certain units. A solid 8/10 for me she is alright but doesnt serve any purpose that has already been fullfilled, she doesnt change the game at a fundamental level nor replace the top dogs in her class. IF you already have Space Ishtar just skip imho Summer Kama is just a legit very good servant but NOWHERE near the broke shit that is Space Ishtar.
Who cares about how broken is she or not. Just look at the sprites and FA that alone is already trillion times better than sphistar is ever going to be. Definitely a must have. U can't convince me otherwise. I would burn my sphistar for her gladly.

They are extremely similar so you can use literally the one you like. While Space Ishtar has the snowball effect Kama NP has practically 10k more of damage by default even not counting the gimmicks, so things even up even if they have different damage ceilings depending on the waves. Also i am talking about Arts because Space Ishtar is currently outclassed even by some year one servants in quick and buster configurations.
