  • Dear all,
Here is a short video which gives some reasons why Catholic Christians should retain Latin in prayer and in liturgy.
The video contains an easy to remember acronym if you ever need to share the reasons.
This is supported by the magisterium of the Church and the testimonies of very saintly people.
    Yours in Christ,
    Mr. Reuben Gabrasadig

I read an article many years ago that layed out that Latin is the birthright of Catholics. I wasn't even thinking about becoming Catholic at that time, but the notion of Latin as a birthright resonated with me. I've now been a convert for 8½ years, and I'm learning how to pray in Latin.

When I see this awesome video and the part where they show the Catholic Latin high mass my heart is awestruck and sad at the same time. To see the love and reverence that belongs to god and Jesus Christ alone in worship being enacted literally makes my heart sing with love to God and to my lord Jesus Christ. My thought is what have we lost as the Catholic Church by not having the Catholic Latin high mass. When I see that the world is literally running to hell for its lack of love for god and my lord and my god Jesus Christ, I say please bring back the Catholic Latin high mass. Catholics and the world need to see the love and reverence due to God and our lord Jesus Christ. This is the way to worship and adore god the father and our lord Jesus Christ.

This is why it's so important we pray for the whole world. I've been called to learn the latin prayers. A lot of us have been called to come home. I can only imagine how many others are being called to learn. Your comment was beautiful and the latin mass he shown was very powerful and touched my soul. Peace be with you...

If you pray in Latin it shows you are in faith and respect your ancestors religion, also it may be in tradition as you would pass down the profession just how elders did.

Imagine if every Catholic learned Latin about 75% attended mass weekly. What you would have is almost a billion people worldwide hearing the same exact message on the same day. In the temporal sense (besides the obvious spiritual significance) that is powerful. Every Catholic around the world could attend any mass any where else in the world and experience the same mass, every Catholic would be able to communicate with every other Catholic regardless of any other language issues. You can see why the forces of the world had to influence the church to end it.

Jesus Did not speak Latin, he prayed in Hebrew. Why is latin on such a pedestal when Our Lord did not even pray in that language. Why all of this just seems fabricated conjecture that it's any more special than any other language. Have any of you studied hebrew and their characters It's amazing.

WHEN PILATUS INSCRIBED THE TITLE ON THE CROSS IN HEBREW ,GREEK AND LATIN,THEN LATIN BECAME SACRED NOT BECAUSE PILATUS WROTE IT BUT BECAUSE GOD HONORED LATIN TO SUPERSEDE HEBREW AND GREEK . IF IT WEREN'T FOR LATIN, CHRISTIANITY WOULD'VE DIED IN ITS CRADDLE .FOR A THOUSAND YEARS LATIN WAS THE LANGUAGE OF ROME. FROM THE ADVENT OF JESUS UNTIL THE END OF TIME, IT WILL BE THE BLESSED AND UNIQUE LANGUAGE OF HOLY MOTHER CHURCH .IN FACT I FORESEE THE HOLY CHILDREN OF GOD ,UNITED BY LATIN WHEN THE ACTUAL APOSTASY IN THE CHURCH IMPLODES.LATIN IS A RARE,MYSTICAL, MAGICAL, LANGUAGE . ITS SPEAKERS ARE GIFTED WITH A VERY RARE INTELLIGENCE AND WISEDOM .THE ARCH-DAEMON WILL NOT WITHSTAND THE POWER OF A LATIN PRAYING SON OF GOD ! LEARN OR AT LEAST READ THE SEVEN POENITENTIAL PSALMS IN LATIN AND RECITE THEM AT THREE O' CLOCK IN THE MORNING , YOU WILL FEEL AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF WELLBEING .
