Can't wait to see how Bryce, Icky, XL, Tremble, and the RBs all develop. I'm a little worried about the defense, especially the CBs, but can't wait to see how much they improve against the run.
As a non titans fan, they actually have a pretty solid roster. They’re a few injuries away from being really bad, sure, and if Levis isn’t good they’re not going anywhere. But, if Levis is good and if they stay mostly healthy (two very big if’s) they could make a wild card spot.

This broke my rookie mystique of Bryce, trapped in a bad situation like a helpless little lamb. I love Bryce. I loved him coming out of college, I love him as my team's QB, and I love that all his mistakes are seemingly fixable, and can put him in the top third of this league with one good year. He's that dude. But that moment, where he was coached to do something wrong, did the wrong thing, and owned it post-game, was when I knew that he had a long way to go as a professional. Shoutout to the other notable lowlight from that game, Jonathan Mingo doing his best to toe-tap a catch *out of bounds* on a play that could have easily been a first down and then some if he had just slowed down. One of the most embarrassing plays I've ever seen all-22 of.

Just finished watching this video and I gotta say I just realized the level of depth you are going in these summer breakdowns. I am obviously a Panthers fan and every thing you touched on is spot on and the attention to detail with this series. After watching the first two I wasn't realizing the level of work needed to accomplish this. "Only" thing i would've change is that Piñero isn't participating in OTAs and the undrafted kicker out of Mizzou Harrison Melvis will probably be the starter(it's special teams, so I will give you a pass 😂). Other than that, i really enjoyed it and can't wait to see the next 29 summer breakdowns.

Cam Newton, Christian McCaffrey, Greg Olsen, Steve Smith, Ryan Khalil, DJ Moore, Christian McCaffrey, Curtis Samuel, Jeremy Chinn, Stefon Gilmore, Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, Luvu and now Brian Burns Then they trade the first overall pick that ends up becoming Caleb Williams and other picks for Bryce Young, which sets them back several years more.

Figured I’d mention the true reason why the Steelers got rid of Diontae for so little.. dude was a diva. From effort when it comes to blocking or complaining about his usage he’s had so many complaints. Getting a guy like that away from Pickens (who’s known to have his own few attitude issues) was a really wise decision. I’ll also add getting rid of a receiver in the late 20’s that will want close to 20 million when we draft receivers the way we do just seemed like the best option.
As a falcons fan, The problem with the panthers coaching staff was too many cooks in the kitchen with no cohesive schematics you had like 5 coaches all with different philosophy Reich is a Reid style guy The OC was a Shanahan guy The OL guy was from cincy I think The QB coach was from Houston Their was no clear vision and they had an oline designed to be a power style OL that then switched to zone want a perfect example of this issue Ikem Okwanu’s regression Reich was bad don’t get me wrong but you want the clear issue easily is one man TEPPER.
I still don't really have much faith in Bryce or this team as a whole, but even I'll admit that they had a fantastic offseason. They even killed the draft despite the limited capital
As a student assistant at Robert Morris and hearing you talk about coker as a small school guy who can do something at the pro level for next years draft take a look at Noah Robinson he’s a receiver he led the conference in yards and I think he could make it at the pro level
I personally think they had one of the best offseasons, and yes Bryce Young with Canales could take a MASSIVE leap forward in his development, but it's clearly gonna take at least a season and some change to gel together and become cohesive.
What i hope to see from the Panthers and Bryce this year is competency. Not expecting greatness, not expecting many wins. Just want them to look like a functioning team that's working towards getting better.

Man I’m so done with the little Bryce experiment. I was team Cj Stroud since the draft and knew he was gonna be a star…Though Bryce has showed some flashes, his arm is still too weak, he’s still too short, and he is just too much of a risky experiment to have been drafted 1st overall.. I mean, do the Panthers genuinely think little Bryce will be their franchise Qb for the next 5-10 years?.. I honesty can’t wait for when he’s benched for Andy Dalton mid-season….. but if he proves me wrong I’ll eat my words.
I agree with you on the OL I think they overpaid for Damien Lewis but this line is greatly improved. The guard play from last year was the main problem Ikey is a viable starter and I think he can get better.
One thing that is different about the Panthers compared to the Patriots is that they are not treating this as year 1 of a rebuild like the Patriots and Commanders are. The Patriots have the most effective cap space in the NFL with 44 million. The Commanders are in second (though a bit of a distant second) with 34 million effective cap space. The Panthers are 25th with 3.3 million effective cap space meaning if they need to add some LB or DB depth they may have to restructure some contracts and then they would still be wise to be price conscious. They have a whooping 29.7 million cap hit from Taylor Moton. If the wanted to restructure to say add a Stephon Gilmore to the corner back room, that is where they could get the cap space, but the only real way to restructure a player like Moton is to extend him and he is 29 (will be 30 before the season) so if this is a rebuild you may not want to extend him on a big money deal so that he is additionally locked in for his age 31, 32, and 33 seasons in addition to his age 30 season this year. It would make you better this year but take away flexibility for the three seasons after that.
I’m not nearly as high on Dave Canales as some others, he is just way too conservative and his best offense ranked in the high 20s league wide. Many Bucs fans are happy he’s gone. His run blocking scheme is just atrocious. I do like their free agency and especially their draft though.

Man I’m so done with the little Bryce experiment. I was team Cj Stroud since the draft and knew he was gonna be a star…Though Bryce has showed some flashes, his arm is still too weak, he’s still too short, and he is just too much of a risky experiment to have been drafted 1st overall.. I mean, do the Panthers genuinely think little Bryce will be their franchise Qb for the next 5-10 years?.. I honesty can’t wait for when he’s benched for Andy Dalton mid-season….. but if he proves me wrong I’ll eat my words.
I agree with you on the OL I think they overpaid for Damien Lewis but this line is greatly improved. The guard play from last year was the main problem Ikey is a viable starter and I think he can get better.
One thing that is different about the Panthers compared to the Patriots is that they are not treating this as year 1 of a rebuild like the Patriots and Commanders are. The Patriots have the most effective cap space in the NFL with 44 million. The Commanders are in second (though a bit of a distant second) with 34 million effective cap space. The Panthers are 25th with 3.3 million effective cap space meaning if they need to add some LB or DB depth they may have to restructure some contracts and then they would still be wise to be price conscious. They have a whooping 29.7 million cap hit from Taylor Moton. If the wanted to restructure to say add a Stephon Gilmore to the corner back room, that is where they could get the cap space, but the only real way to restructure a player like Moton is to extend him and he is 29 (will be 30 before the season) so if this is a rebuild you may not want to extend him on a big money deal so that he is additionally locked in for his age 31, 32, and 33 seasons in addition to his age 30 season this year. It would make you better this year but take away flexibility for the three seasons after that.

I’m not nearly as high on Dave Canales as some others, he is just way too conservative and his best offense ranked in the high 20s league wide. Many Bucs fans are happy he’s gone. His run blocking scheme is just atrocious.
I do like their free agency and especially their draft though.
