    Hello can I do to change the geomestry viewport and not change the image viewport as you did in the video

    • @WillGibbons

      Yes, you just need to open the geometry view. It can be accessed with the O key on the keyboard.

    Hi Will I found this vidio by searching TH-cam for Keyshot for beginners. I enjoyed watching this - thanks for posting - but I found it hard to follow you as you were so quick. Also did you realise you only used half the screen the whole time? Even watching full screen in HD I couldn't make out the words on the KS menu. Anyways, I'm going to check out the rest of your channel to see if you do have KS for beginner videos. Thanks for sharing.

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked the video. You should be able to pause the video at any time to follow along if it's too fast. As far as 'using half the screen', I'm not sure I have any problem with how this is recorded. I end up using the right-half of the screen for the Geometry View. If you'd like more KeyShot videos, I can recommend you visit the official KeyShot TH-cam channel: th-cam.com/users/keyshot3d

      @@WillGibbons ah, thanks for coming back to me - I am now subbed, it shows that you care. Actually I didn't make myself very clear. You had Keyshot open using only half the screen with the other half always showing your picture tools windows and your search page in the background. Thanks again Will

    In the thumbnail there is a kind of heavenly-glow to the model, was this intentional, if so how can it be recreated?

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that was done in post back then. However, if you're using KeyShot 9, just use the 'bloom' feature in the Image Styles tab. It'll get you there.

    • @WillGibbons

      The figurine was downloaded from threedeescans.com I beleive and the rock in the thumbnail was something I downloaded from quixel megascans. I can't redistribute these assets, so you'll have to download them on your own if you want.

      @WillGibbons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's odd. Do you have some sort of permissions or pop-up blocker? Not sure why that's the case. I'm sorry for the issue. It's the first time I've heard of it happening. I hope you're able to try again and find that it works.

      You need to have 'ground illumination' turned on or bein 'product' rendering mode. This way, light will be visible on the ground plane.

    • @WillGibbons
      @WillGibbons  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you should be able to add an area light to a plane in KeyShot HD, but the geometry view may be Pro only.
