Thanks sam. I learned camera shift and the light improvements by curves. This is brilliant and you are right, its literally pain to get right lighting by planes etc.
TY BB this popped up in my notifications RIGHT as I sat down to figure out a better way to do lighting that isnt the standard “outside” hdri renders they offer. Ur the best!
Amazing tutorial, I have been struggling with getting interior light by using only Sun, never got satisfactory results. Now I can :) Thanks for this video.
Hello! Is it possible to share how the room is created? You are talking about the program, but I can not find it. And how the room is imported in your Keyshot project? Thank you in advance!
That's great Sam, thank you for the tutorial. Although, I have always wondered how do you set up those soft lighting in you most other interior renders.
I remember watching an old KS video and it stated to maximise getting the most from an outside light source was to make sure your indoor room was fully enclosed. So in your case the entire room would be contained in a larger "studio". This I assume has changed on the later versions.
Hey! How do you actually avoid all those little bubbly artifacts you get on the floor and wall pannels? I got them as well and couldn't realise what was generating it!
i recreated the exact scene in keyshot, whenever i try to rendera a animation, the animation has flickering shadows.Anyone knows how to fix it.I tried turning off the env lights and rendered with area light inside the room, the renders are fine without the env lights
Awesome video Sam! Definitely helped me with some interior renders. Just curious, you mentioned to use real world interior dimensions. How did you end up figuring out the dimensions of the room from the photo? Were you just inferring things from the source photo?
Thank you! I normally try to just guess... within a few centimetres won’t affect things. Ceiling heights are usually pretty similar for example, so as long as the ceiling height is 2.7m and not 2.7mm then it’s all good
Very good channel :-) I have a doubt, sometimes I load a FBX model, a car for example, it loads well ... with all its parts, but I can't put independent materials on each part, all the parts always catch me a single material and the same one for the whole model .. I'm a little lost with this .. sorry.
How do u get into the interior and keep editing everything? I have a 360 room but it wont let me edit and see everything inside clearly, is dark and the walls wont let me see anything either.
hi bro pls help me, i'm facing a problem. when i open keyshot software through 3ds max. suddenly 3ds max file show error and quickly close 3ds max file. why this is happening plz help me.
I dont have the "curve" option in my keyshot, could this be a new feature? And when I insert my pin, I cannot see it so I have to move it around without knowing where it is.. any advice? All in all amazing tutorial, it already made a huge difference!
It's definitely about the right settings! A faster machine just means rendering faster, not higher quality. As long as there's enough power to run the program, there's enough power to get really good renders
@@SamDoesDesign Thank's for the quick answer. That is good to know. Is there also a video tutorial in which you explain the settings in more detail? Or can you recommend one?
"Nature uses Kelvin". If so, what did nature use before Kelvin invented his temperature scale in the 19th Century, I wonder... 🤔 Anyway, great video. I learnt some new things.
I think it’s possible to do it without changing the curves in Keyshot, but especially with such a big difference like +4 contrast I’d rather get as much done in the render engine as possible, with minimal tweaks afterwards
I really like what you did in the video. Thumbs up. Even though we do not completely agree with the architect perspective and the display of furniture. The forced vertical lines are good for the walls, but not for displaying the chair. Worse, if you draw a table. But it is only my opinion :-)
I’m glad I could help! I would love to share the files, but I’m afraid I can’t share the models and textures I didn’t make. I’ll keep that in mind for next time!
There are always hundreds of ways to do any task within different apps... Keyshot it a great all-round system but for sure there are programs that are tailored for specific tasks
These tutorials have been really helpful for my university project renderings. Thanks for saving me so much time!
I'm so glad I could help. Good luck with your projects!
just want to thank u. I literally use this setup as the base for all my uni projects in the past 2 years lol.
I’m so happy I could help! I’ve just uploaded a sequel to this video as well 🥳
This lighting is so realistic and dreamy ⛅️ 👼
I love the reference image from The Fine Store so much!
Thanks sam. I learned camera shift and the light improvements by curves. This is brilliant and you are right, its literally pain to get right lighting by planes etc.
Tip about camera shift is so great. Thanks a lot!

Hahah I'm glad I could help!
short and effective way to get good lightning - thanks a lot
Thank you for your works and my working has been upgraded by this video.
Amazing tutorial, I have been struggling with getting interior light by using only Sun, never got satisfactory results. Now I can :) Thanks for this video.

Sam Does Design Hey, Is there a way I can connect with you?
This was just the kind of tutorial I was looking for. Thank you so much Sam. Great Tutorial!
You're very welcome! I'm glad I could help
I love your wall art! And the Keyshot walkthrough is pretty great too of course!
I spent a long time putting those pictures up, only to make them blurry in my videos haha
Im begining to question my decisions to go to UNI to learn this stuff when there is Sam does Design !
Very impressive piece.Short n precise
Wow, spot on. Since I literally just started learning how to render in keyshot because I need some context renders for my project presentation...
Thank you! I'm so glad I could help!
Thanks Sam! Another really concise and helpful tutorial. Thanks for the tips and encouragement mate!
Thank you so much! I’m glad I could help
@@SamDoesDesign Very welcome. I love checking out your videos when they pop up.
Thank you so much for this video, as a university student this is super useful, and save sooooo much time
You're welcome! I'm so glad I could help
Great tutorial as usual Sam thanks. Really useful tip about using the shift camera feature for architectural shots 🙌
Please more keyshot videos! and thanks a lot for this tutorial!
thank you Sam it’s really helpful
You just helped me a lot! Thanks a mil!!
Very informative and I would like to have seen it render as well
Wow! That's was cool...
Hi, thank you so much for explaining this so easily. It's been great, browsing your channel.🤘🏿
Thank you so much! I’m so glad I could help
Hello!
Is it possible to share how the room is created? You are talking about the program, but I can not find it. And how the room is imported in your Keyshot project?
Thank you in advance!
Man you awesome! Thank you!!!
That's great Sam, thank you for the tutorial. Although, I have always wondered how do you set up those soft lighting in you most other interior renders.
Thank you so much! I actually posted a tutorial for the softer lighting using the Eames lounge and wall panelling detail interior. I hope that helps!
Nice tutorial, Thankyou. Was a glass material used on the windows (with an actual modelled pane or are they just holes?
They’re just holes with no glass. I find that glass darkens the room and increases the render times so I always try to get away without any
I remember watching an old KS video and it stated to maximise getting the most from an outside light source was to make sure your indoor room was fully enclosed. So in your case the entire room would be contained in a larger "studio". This I assume has changed on the later versions.
Great tutorial man, thanks!
Amazing walk through! Thank you!
So glad I could help!
Hey! How do you actually avoid all those little bubbly artifacts you get on the floor and wall pannels? I got them as well and couldn't realise what was generating it!
thank you so much incredible
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it

That's very benefical tutorial thankss
Love the tutorial
Thanks! Very helpful did not know about photographic editor
Glad you liked it!
i loe you sam i love this video
Again, great work thank you!
Thank you too!

Thankyou! I've been searching it lately
Glad I could help!
What's the website name from where you downloaded the chair? How do you spell it? Thanks! This was so helpfull
Very good channel :-)
I have a doubt, sometimes I load a FBX model, a car for example, it loads well ... with all its parts, but I can't put independent materials on each part, all the parts always catch me a single material and the same one for the whole model .. I'm a little lost with this .. sorry.
Amazing tutorial Sam! Could you please tell me what settings did you use to render the scene? how many samples etc.
Thank you so much! I think this was around 300 samples at 1080 pixels wide for Instagram
Hi. Why is the tortoise shell material not on the object when exported to gbl file. Do you know how to fix it.?
Please can you do a small tutorial on camera settings /depth of field
That sounds like a great video! I'll keep it in mind for sure
Thank You
thank you! NICE!
thank you so mucchhh for this!
I’m so glad I could help!
How do u get into the interior and keep editing everything? I have a 360 room but it wont let me edit and see everything inside clearly, is dark and the walls wont let me see anything either.
idk how to explain it correctly it would be nice if i could send u an email with pictures so u could help me :(
hi bro pls help me, i'm facing a problem. when i open keyshot software through 3ds max. suddenly 3ds max file show error and quickly close 3ds max file. why this is happening plz help me.
I’m afraid I don’t know anything about 3DS max, sorry I can’t be any help!
@@SamDoesDesign thanks for your reply bro
it looks like your building doesn't block the light, how do you do that?
Thanks bro
I dont have the "curve" option in my keyshot, could this be a new feature?

All in all amazing tutorial, it already made a huge difference!
Thank you! I think curves is a feature in Keyshot 9... I skipped from 7 to 9 so I'm not sure if it's in 8
Do I need an expensive render machine to create such nice renderings or is it mainly about the right settings?
It's definitely about the right settings! A faster machine just means rendering faster, not higher quality. As long as there's enough power to run the program, there's enough power to get really good renders

简单高效。谢谢
How can you set all scenes ? you showed just settings
Hi
How can one achieve the realist Grass in Keyshot 9
can i download the scene for education ?
thanks
"Nature uses Kelvin". If so, what did nature use before Kelvin invented his temperature scale in the 19th Century, I wonder... 🤔
Anyway, great video. I learnt some new things.
thak you it is hepful. Q: If we render, dont set photgrapic adjusments could we sets PS or Lightroom after render ? is it possible? thankss you again
Yes, it's possible. Btw, output as raw is possible, as well.
I think it’s possible to do it without changing the curves in Keyshot, but especially with such a big difference like +4 contrast I’d rather get as much done in the render engine as possible, with minimal tweaks afterwards
Yer a wizard Sam
hahaha "yer a designer harry"
very helpful thank you :)
Glad it helped!

I agree! The vertical trick should only be used subtly, but each case is different
Thank you ^^
when the room is quite narrow, how do you get it so the camera isnt just at a huge perspective?
Field of view bud
Such a great tutorial. if only you included the 3d files it would have been of great help
I’m glad I could help! I would love to share the files, but I’m afraid I can’t share the models and textures I didn’t make. I’ll keep that in mind for next time!
can ou share project file please , i want to learn
again i don't feel like keyshot is for interior , there is other software that does it way way better
There are always hundreds of ways to do any task within different apps... Keyshot it a great all-round system but for sure there are programs that are tailored for specific tasks
The whole video could have been barely 7 minutes, but you had to stretch it.
so helpful thanks
