I think the biggest downside of the Resonator/Red Dragon Archfiend deck is that it's so dang expensive for the extra deck! It's almost entirely UR/SR and the cards aren't played anywhere else, at least it has no main deck URs but for a Rogue deck it's certainly a really hard one to pull for I feel. Also, basically none of them get animations! What a rip!
Unfortunately you’re right with MD being exclusively a BO1.
Archfiend Abyss is a really strong card in any deck that can make it
Funny thing is I use this Red supernova Dragon with my junk/stardust synchro deck and if I get junk speeder out, It's almost always a win
Honestly, I find the stardust deck even worse to build with the number of UR's needed to be viable and with the high influx of new stardust support and boss monsters that makes yesterday's deck obsolete unless you get the 4 new UR cards. The red dragon hasn't had the love Stardust gets but it works so well with its straightforward, overwhelming power approach.
Crimson Resonator being only a Rare card is absolutely crazy. It's basically Jack's equivalent of Junk Synchron.

Kinda, except I don't think it was actually in the anime (at least not what I remember) but yeah it's certainly one of the strongest Rares in the game IMO.

Design wise i love Red Supernova Dragon because that is exactly what Jack "Motherfcking" Atlas boss monster would look like.
Sadly i barely have any success with Resonators whenever i pick them compared to my other decks.
Also a really good combo you can do is Hop Ear Sqadron to summon Baronn on the opponent turn "where the lock does not apply anymore"
Yeah I have not been having a ton of luck with the deck myself, which sucks because Jack atlus is my favorite character

@@sebastianchavez1225 Hop ear is only decent if you're gonna end up with a regular Archfiend but Since red hot is 9 and supernova is 11 it's honestly not viable. also Red hot abyss is better than Baronne already cuz you can go to Abyss bane at resummon it from graveyard.
Ckw81 is the MVP for Resonator/Red Dragon Archfiend and I love the deck! Made an alt account to play this and Melffy Tri-Brigade and love playing it! Don't have anywhere near the gems or materials to craft the Adventure Engine on the alt but honestly even without it the deck can perform decently well but ultimately struggles to compete with the meta (especially going second) as most Rogue decks generally do.

@@ckw8179 I play the duskwalker/ascanator version of your deck but I only have success on half the games in gold rank. Do you think the adventure engine version is more consistent?
@AEIOU 5000 consistency wise adventure might be a little better, but really the advantage lies in the power and pressure provided by the engine and it’s ability to force interruptions
@@ckw8179 i use to use assault engine deck before adventure meta. And use panketrop sometime to summon chaos ruler lol. That my first decek and syncron. Those two hella expensive
Red nova dragon has always been my favorite boss monster unironcally. I remember wayyyyy back when I ran it with cyber dragon. Earth ninja and one other dragon I forgot the name all 5 stars with the summon effect of cyber dragon.
Then used deep sea diva to get it out easier.
I know this isn't the same card but man it's a throw back
And a 3 star tuner ofc for the 5 stars and deep sea diva go round out to 12 and 2 tuners

The Adventure engine is nice. I still like the Evil Eye Resonator variant a tad more. Just my personal preference.

I think the exact same thing!! Decks should be around getting THE BOSS monster, not EVERY boss in the game. I love it when people play a deck with strong cards but just one boss. The goal is always the boss, and when it has many ways around it, I go insane. I hope one day blue eyes can get an insane boss monster, or at least a really good one to get around a bunch of decks
I feel like you need to run 2-3 Red Reigns to make your Supernova unaffected against Droplet and Imperm. People rarely have trap cards to send off Droplet so your usually fine.

I've been playing this deck for about 6 months now, happy that you covered this. Just remember that this deck is really weak to Ash and Called btw.
This boss monster still needs a animation along with arrival like how can u give the trash basic rda a animation hut not his evolved boss monster form
"Red Supernova Dragon" is a fucking filthy card of which it must be forbidden cuz it's last effect should be as follows:
Once per turn, during your next End Phase after this card was banished by its own effect: Special Summon this banished card, and return to your opponent's Spell & Trap Zone the Spells/Traps (if any) that were banished by this effect.

It won't get banned. Yeah it's an S0 but the deck itself is rogue at best and not that easy to pull out. Kali Yuga has been doing the same shit for roughly the same amount of time but no one attempts it because the decks making it have a ton of bricks and choke points

In all fairness, the king calamity isn’t really the boss of this deck, it’s supernova. This deck is sadly atrocious at making king calamity on the opponents turn

@@ckw8179 I've had some fun moments summoning it using Hop Ear Squadron but yeah aside from that there isn't really a good way to do it.
Well red super nova is good, it has a great effect... but only if you manage to use it.
It loses so hard to adventure engine... Rite + Dracoback and Red Supernova is gone.
I beat a guy today who quit after losing Red Supernova for those two cards, he can't even use the monster's effect.
yeah that sucks that's why you should NEVER EVER GO TO Red Super Nova unless you can make a Hot red

I actually fought "Playmaker" this morning. He was actually running a Borrel/Buster Blader deck. I was able to outlast him, and he scooped.

That might be the case, but this engine is utilised in a unique way. In addition there is another good version without this engine.

I have a question. If, after a combo, I somehow got 1 Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend on my Main Monster Zone and 1 GeoMathmech Final Sigma on my Extra Monster Zone, I activate Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend first effect to destroy all other cards on the field and also for the rest of this turn my other monster I control can not attack, does this also include Final Sigma, for Final Sigma is unaffected by other cards effect while it's in the Extra Monster Zone (I meant the effect that "other monster you control cannot attack", but it is unaffected by other card's effect)
If I use red supernovas quick effect on 'my turn' Will he come back the end phase of my turn I activated it?
With halq now banned, building this deck is almost moot but I still love this deck anyway.

Is this deck viable Competitively or just like this for Casual plays? I have very little gems, SRs and URs I can use each month so if anyone can verify if it can be Competitive, I'd appreciate that cause right now it looks cool that it won against Floow but if things got reversed on Turn 0/1, the deck wouldn't have been able to do anything. It was still pretty epic that an archetype can gain so much LP and ATK like this. :)

@@ano2846 sure but when you have lot of monsters or have fail safe negates like nine pillars (like in adventure tenyi) it's much harder. This is literally 2 monster end board .

It's a tech card not mandatory. I didn't play book of moon in my floo no extra deck festival deck because i decided to run droll and lock + a level one small world engine for consistency and also 3 lightning storms and feather duster because you can never have enough backrow hate in masterduel.

Floodgates are boring.At that point why not just play scythe it is way easier setup and it fulfils the same purpose.

@@bretrobinson1590 yeah against flunder is better,but like under calamity decks can setup like 4 materials zeus.(lyrilusc tri-brigade special warbler + normal summon any bird or nerval go into nightgale and go downerd zeus) so it is situational..The problem with Calamity is that it is not easy to make and you need 3 monsters on board just for that so it locks a lot of ur zones for other plays so it will usually be calamity setup pass.

Bro the fact that guy didn’t use map before normal summon shows he trolling lol, you always use map before normal summoning, and you always always always use eglen before robina if you have map and eaglen in hand, eaglen is the one you mainly want to negate when you go 2nd in an already established board, with no board sure you can go robina search statue and toss eaglen because statue pretty much wins just off it’s eff, but going 2nd like cmonbruh, no imperm? No dark ruler? No droplet? Like whaf lol
