    Yes, the scent defuser works great. It just unscrews like a bottle top. You can use a felt insert for an aroma therapy locket and apply any essential oil you like. I like leather scented oil which always keeps the car smelling new and fresh.

      If you have a very special tool, you usually take care a lot. If you use your Rolex for work in a mechanical fix cars sound like no good idea. If you buy a Genesis is a gem that you have to take care, I'm think so.

    Great video! Audi A8 type D3 had the finger print sensor at the center console... and I think I saw some small lid next to the sphere, most probably for emergency rotating the sphere in case it doesn't work.

      Some manufacturers have an ozone generator in the ac system which activates after the car shuts down and desinfects the entire area, inhibiting bacterial growth and smells.
      Running the blower is certainly an option too but in humid weather it can cause very high humidity in the cabin and air vents which would take close to an hour of blower operation to dry off.

    • @Clearphish
      @Clearphish ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know, Tesla does have an after blow feature, since I often hear the fans operating after I leave the vehicle.

  • @johntrussell7228

    Mercedes has used a similar technique of running the cabin fans after AC usage, they even do it currently on cars with heat to keep the cabin warm before and after usage.

      @@amigatommy7nope, you just use friction to rotate it. Put your (clean & not greasy please) palm on it and pull back. There’s a simple friction clutch that allows manual rotation.

    The flip over gear selector/orb will be a nightmare. I have a Ford with the gear selector in the same place. Went to the beach and some sand from us and the dog got in there. Now it’s crunchy. It’s right where everything liquid will spill in it. Also as it flips it is oblong making a quick temporary hole. If you had a coin or ear pod there, it will eat it. Not a fan of the thing flipping around.

      7:30 Reminds me of my RX-7. It had both the problem of the broken pop-up headlight AND window switches in the console that had to be opened up and cleaned out to remove the sticky gunk (coffee, soda, etc.) that would foul the electrical contacts in the switches. It amazed me how often the windows would roll down fine but refuse to roll back up when I parked it or drove into a rain storm. I HATED that!

    Something that I have thought about recently is what happens if the driver of a vehicle has a medical event such as a heart attack. When there was only a hump for the transmission it was possible for a passenger to reach the break pedal.
    With an electric vehicle it would be possible to add a feature for a passenger to stop the vehicle with a touch of the screen. A recent medical condition made me think of this feature.

    Its a very nice vehicle. People are always excited with NEW things, so I dont put much stock in that. The review is good, and I'm glad to hear the concerns you described were felt by your viewers too. The drive selection nob is a disaster...lets just call it that. The finger print reader is just not necessary, it just isn't. It sells the idea of technology, but come on. The facial camera, again it sells the idea. Its just not necessary. You phone handles all of that already, why add it into a car...to what end?
    Does this car come with an app to control features remotely? Is it free or will it require a sub like Ford. If so, why not simply use your phone as the key? You now freed up hardware in your car, reducing your price.
    70k is a bit much....and thats being kind. In the end the buyers will decide if the market can bare this. Low volumes with high prices..okay..is that going to make you a market leader?...I predict no.
    The bar was set by Tesla, and it is a tall bar. Real functional tech and simplicity of integration.
    We all want to jump in our car and drive to our destination without much thought.
    Lord that boost button reaction when selecting it is concering to hear.

    • @Antiguan_Dart
      @Antiguan_Dart 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can think of one typical scenario where the facial recognition and finger print is more convenient than a phone or key fob for accessing the car. If attending an outdoor sporting activity - an energetic run or beach swim you can leave everything secure on the car - phone, keys etc. knowing they won’t get wet, lost and return to your car and simply open it with facial recognition!

      @@денисбаженов-щ1б Far from the truth. I dropped a Tesla for the GV. After driving the car for almost a year, the negatives outweighed the positives. Trust me, the GV is a great vehicle minus a few issues. The quality of build and materials are far superior to a Tesla, no doubt. It ‘s solid and very quiet. Yes. EA, EVgo, and others are limited in my area but I charge from home 99.5% of the time….but when I need charging away from home, I need charging away from home. EA and the others are just years behind. @@atehraniI think once they actually put the nacs charging port in and have the matching charging tech built into the vehicle...thry might be in a better position...however hoping is not a good business decision. The Supercharger Network is allowing some oems on it right now, but it's not very fast...it would seem software needs tweeking. So, again hoping is not a solid business model. Saw one in person locally.. it’s pretty.. but when you go spec it out.. the bang for the buck vs a Model Y is terrible lol. You just get way more of things that are important to me, in the Y, for significantly less $.. I’m talkin a performance Y. When they put a NACS on these, that will make a large step forward.. but they also need to put a big push into tech and efficiency in space utilization.. and just efficiency overall. If all you care about is looks and don’t mind getting fleeced for it.. go for it.. but their sales numbers are shite.. and it’s been on sale for over a year

      The Tesla Y is a compelling choice but if you really can’t live with that super minimalist interior, want something more luxurious and don’t need all that space - the GV60 is shorter by 23.5cm so easier to park in smaller UK multi story and city parking
      spaces; then the GV60 could be a good choice.
      Yes there’s a premium but worth it in
      my view - the features over the Model Y are to list a few - matrix projected LED ( blanking the beam for oncoming vehicles), rear on- road projected dotted lines when reversing for added road safety, HUD, augmented SAT NAV, Apple car play, Android Auto, noise cancelling B&O speaker system for super quiet cabin, rear retractable parcel shelf - so a less echoey interior and extra privacy, electronically operated centre closing sun roof shade, rear passenger window shades, wing mirror puddle lights which project the Genesis logo, auto tailgate opening when stood at rear of car with key fob, suede roof lining and door cards, ergo recline front passenger seats, more widely adjustable rear reclining seats, steering column mounted paddle regen, vehicle to load (interior and exterior-through adapter domestic sockets, and I’ve probably missed a few.

      @@Antiguan_Dart no argument on those points. But, in all.. i’d rather have the better performance, efficiency and space.. not to mention the best driver assist on the market.. than a bunch of lights and doodads that don’t mean much to me on a daily basis. And i hate apple carplay AND android auto.. so, those are a 0 to me. I find Tesla’s offerings more compelling to me.. and again, until NACS is installed on the GV60.. that just takes it completely out of consideration for me, for now.

    because of this , the e-GiMP platform is too HEAVY & Inefficient , because it has supporting Members for ICE/Hybrid platforms.
    Hyundai was going to use e-GiMP platform to make NEW gas , erev, Hybrids & Fool Cell vehicles , they Abandoned ALL that in Favor of a BEV variant on the e-GiMP ICE Platform.

    Hyundai will also have to , Invest in Battery cell Manufacturing, Anodes, Cathodes, Electrolyte, LITHIUM refining & possibly Mining.
    Hyundai will need to create OWN Structural battery pack & start using Large Single Piece GIGACASTINGS, if they want to be Profitable.
