Honestly, I’ve seen so many irritating videos that are all about “experiencing” another country from the vantage point of some luxurious hotel or spa similar to your digs on this trip. But you clearly acknowledged how different this was to your usual style of traveling much closer to the people and culture, that I got how you would want to take advantage of a price that would maybe never come around again. Looking forward to the coming Thailand videos!
Thailand was never a place that I was desperate to visit, and eventually when I became a TEFL teacher, I applied to a job in Thailand on a whim… and then off I went to Thailand in October 2019! I totally understand where you’re coming from when you talk about this place! I had to leave earlier than planned in March 2020 (obviously!) and I’ve been thinking about Thailand a lot since I left. So glad you managed to get there safely!

I swear I just spent all 19 minutes grinning broadly while watching it, and honestly close to tears at times as well 🥲 Not just out of pure happiness for you, but also because I am also still waiting for my road to finally lead back to Thailand! My partner and I were not far away from Naka Island just in February 2020, just before you-know-what began, and have been missing Thailand like CRAZY! I was so frustrated last summer that I started making plans for "Thailand 2022", but knowing it was just too early. Amazingly enough, of the 5 to 7 potential hotels in and around Phuket, the Naka Island Resort was honestly on the short list! So I felt a bit like strangling you through my monitor now as well, for "stealing our room" ... but in a very friendly way 😅 Can't wait for the rest of the series! I know I'll laugh, I may cry, and I'll totally enjoy it! ❤ Hjärtliga hälsningar från MUC! ❤

As a Thai living in Europe, I *know" that feeling when, upon getting off the plane, you're immediately hit with that South East Asian hot air and you're like 'yup, i'm home! 😆' Happy for you guys to have made it back there. Loved the video!
That villa looks so amazing! I love Thailand (and Bali too) and it's hard to see them suffer so much due to Covid. Thailand just announced that 14 day quarantaine again (at least for some regions and people from certain countries) due to Omicron. And in Bali it's 10 days. Having said that, they're doing something right as their figures are way lower than in some other countries. But it must be hard for the people living and working there- and we'll have to wait a while longer before we can go back again. Let's hope that by summer this 'thing' will be under control. Great that you could sneak in a visit!

You guys should go to Koh Phangan, an island on the east coast of Thailand, especially Haad Salad (north west of the island) It is my favourite place in the entire world!

@@OskarandDan we had a fabulous time, 😍😍 our first time to Thailand... This was for my birthday trip originally planned to just go for five days then to my home country the Philippines but they did not lift the ten day quarantine so we changed the trip and spent the two weeks in Thailand instead.. We did a week on Phuket... Then three days in Chiang Mai, Krabi, then Bangkok. Just as Omicron was starting to break out 😢😢😢. Definitely love Thailand.. Can't wait to be back... And yes I know about all the Thailand Pass documentation and application whew! We stayed at the Crest resort in Phuket..I posted some videos on my channel too(not a vlogger here but you know what I mean 😁) hope we get to meet up sometime on person. Thanks again for your videos 😊😊😊
