The gun was a carbine version 30-06.
That rifle saved my life in the Arctic, south of coppermine. 80 miles.
    I was 19 years old.
Short story, I was surrounded by 3 barren ground grizzlies.
In the dark with a cooleman 1:20 gas lantern for light
I shot one at 10 feet, the second at about 9 feet.
The third ran away. I have a photo of them.

I’m not sure if Othais has seen any of my videos, but I know Mae is subscribed. I’ve also had some contact with them, including loaning a gun for an episode. I’m guessing they’d have some hesitation with changing the primer formula but if they wanted to experiment with a POV setup, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got in touch.
I’m glad you like my videos, and I appreciate that you want to help me out with exposure. Honestly, this channel is already bigger than I ever thought it would get. I don’t really have any grand plans for it, so additional growth is neat but not necessary. I just make the videos for fun, and because I like helping people learn about old guns.

One of my favorite guns. Definitely not the best service rifle, but very cool nonetheless.

Isn't that buckhorn style sights? Forgive my ignorance, I know them only thanks to RDR 2 or BF 1, can't remember which one now. They look way better in real life. Amazing rifle, pristine condition

BF1 calls them that, yes ;) I love those sights irl, but in-game they kinda suck

A lovely Winchester 1895 well restored! I feel really sad when I compare this with the very late Winchester that was almost unrecognisable from being such a bad quality rifle.

    the thing is a beast
its harder on the shoulder of any .06 i have ever shot .
not something you'd want to shoot all day
