Basicly Minecraft but with A LOT more content, more bosses, mobs, buildings, weapons, dungeons, caves, hidden treasures etc.
Only an idiot compares Minecraft to something as modern and ambitious as Pax Dei. Also, one’s a sandbox. The other’s an MMO. Not possible to compare due to the format being completely different.
Thing with this kind of game (sandbox) is literally entirely reliant of the quality of the community, if the player base is trash, they will make the gane absolute trash for everyone & people will just abandon it bit by bit. Sure hope the community will stay as clean as it is right now 🤷

You need specialization and leveling offline -- which EVE has, I think. With leveling skills offline you can then login with a chance to be either competitive or useful or at least capable of something. You will also get real specialization like EVE has: miners with real skill and huge ships. In this case, miners with shares in their company, guaranteed improvements in their mining and refining abilities and other unique benefits. Which would make that skill useful. A land-based EVE with a commitment to community building and specialization could be great. The problem is the PvP shite. It is a real problem in EVE, don't want that imported into this game. Don't want to have to send specialized miners into PvP mixed zones like Albion or EVE itself. People don't want this, it only works for the first clan or the ones who control a space. It's a disaster in Albion, especially for new players. The black zones are controlled by the equivalent of 10 clans -- hardly half of one percent of the playerbase -- while crafting is limited to those who can be good enough at PvP and running (lol) to survive enough to get the higher end crafting mats. It's awful.
If this will just be a building/survival game, we have plenty of those games already. There has to be more to make it stand out. Or give me a reason why I should play this insted of MC, Valheim etc. Also, having like entire clans able to edit everything everyone has worked their hide of to build, craft and farm (clan build control). All it takes is one "bad egg" and when you login your entire town is destroyed, ninjad and what not. Then the griefer leave the clan/game.
It's not a survival game. You don't have to eat/drink/rest or be indoors. The building is nice, the grind is bs. And they want a box price, a sub once ea ends and a cash shop
Thanks for covering People don't quite understand what this game is yet: No NPCs No Structures No quests Full loot With thousands of players in a persistent world (server meshing) PVP & Dungeons is not any later than the 4 days the village folks did. The Organization not only applies to building, but equipment and food crafting > which feeds PVX. If you won't open your wallet a bit to help an indie studio succeed in their awesome vision of the "true sandbox fantasy mmo".. shame on you! Mainframe has a great track record (Eve online)
There is no DLC, it has different packages that you can buy from the start. It's your choice which you get. No idea where you saw any DLC, unless you take the option to upgrade your package as a DLC. A DLC is something that you don't get from the start. Maybe take a better look next time.
This type of progression will work out look at the pure level of grind for EVE Online the grind is bigger than a job but they keep going. I want to see almost a “pvp” server where you can wage war on other clans allowing you to destroy their city. Have a cooldown timer after each victory, loss, or truce ex. 72hrs where you cannot attack another clan. Each clan can only have 1 capital rest be expedition cities where they do not need an act of war to attack.
You seriously DON"T need to play Pax Dei! It's a broken, unbalanced, empty build simulator in a huge empty map selling for the price of a finished game.
The jumping in this game looks ridiculous. Dude floats in the air when jumping. He's got more hang time than MJ... It's like he's in slow motion in the air. Not to mention the combat looks pretty meh. Basically this game seems to have modern graphics and survival game crafting with old, early 2000's character animations for jumping and combat...
This lookes and plays like dog doo doo. You are the type of content creator to shill "This gameplay is actually real, no really. This time this game is actually like this." type mobile game shillin.
Ah yes. Ultima Online hath been resurrected like Jesus himself according to the stories.. and the band Tool...? Ehheh. BUT! It hath been made with new, beautiful looking graphics. Excellent! =) Might have to check it out ;)
I totally agree, I like the idea of the game. Reminds me of UO and SWG. I hope they keep the course and not give into the trolls and stupid ADD Gen Z idiots.
its zoned like old school EQ where you can stand at the server line and look over it and not see the player on the other side of the line you are standing on.
Wait for a company that can afford to make their game is all I'll say people get otherworldly hyped fir these bare bones games because there's such a vacancy of them just jave patience and don't settle for bad games sure the game will be a little better in a decade still in early access but there's no world where this is worth your money
For me it's worth it. I enjoy seeing games grow, see the changes happening. All the while doing what I love most about games, building and exploring a huge world, that looks absolutely breathtaking. If you're this jaded about Early Access, then maybe don't pay attention to EA at all. There's a few developers out there, who make awesome games and the input from the player helps them to make the game even better.
Depends on one's perspective really, if you see it as that then you will build your game house & quit 🤷, no big loss for those that actually have plans in the game 😅
@raptorxd2146 exactly, Minecraft even in its basic form before all the updates we have now was such a hit, even though it was so simple. The aspect of community in this game along with actually putting effort into your professions being rewarding is something that a lot of mmos fail at. Everyone is just as important as eachother and it'll be very interesting to see what different civilisations pop up over the course of the game, all made up of individual players with their own goals and skills
no thanks. They are tricking people by being very very subtle about subscriptions. Selling the game for $50 and not telling you in huge letters that it requires a sub, a sub that has no confirmed price and apparently increases with the more land you want to own.
They said from the beginning that it would be sub-based. Had no difficulties finding that info. And honestly, I prefer subscriptions. I want to enjoy a game without competeing with people who can just buy anything. That ruins it for me.
@@soliitudegaming7275 Lol, it's not dead. They just had a big update. If your words were the case, then why are there so many people playing? But oh yeah, you don't bother to check up on stuff you say, could that be it?

So it’s gonna need a lot of mods to make crafting easy for people to want to play it. Also it doesn’t look like it has a first person mode so probably won’t go great playing with PrayDog’s VR converter mod. Damn what a waste of good graphics.
Looks like a clone of that failed Everquest game from a while back, just without the voxels. Not gonna hold my breath until I see fun gameplay loops.. the combat in this demo seemed cheesy and shallow.
I think the invites are done with. But you can buy early access to the early access or a "founders pack" to get in before June 18th, which is the launch into EA I believe. Game looks great though, might have to check it out myself!
Yes, has to be one of the two not both: either you buy once and you pay nothing til the next big expansion, or you get it free and pay a bit per month.
Screw this P2W money grab game! They already announced monitization plans Up to100$ for the Game, Subscription based on plots owned, Cash Shop w/ P2 advance mechanics and WoW tokens. For a Game in EARLY ACCESS!!
So Pax Dei in Early Access has been on Xsolla so far..and Steam soon. Xsolla is who brought us Chronicles of Eleria, the massive break out rip off to thousands of players. What will Pax Dei be?
Can someone explain to me.. how the hell do you keep all the stuff you chopped, plucked, picked, skinned etc when you don’t even have a pants for pockets???? I thought this game supposed to be realistic? 😂😂😂
I have yet to play a game that tried to be realistic and don't think I'd want to. Pax Dei is low fantasy. Set in the Dark Ages but the myths are real. You have 24 inventory slots and 8 item quick slots at all times. If you use the help page as an early guide you can get storage baskets and chests fairly quickly. In the starting area (Home Valley) noone can steal or damage your stuff or house unless you intentionally abandon it.
clearly this streamer was paid to play and wat to say becos this game is worse then it was in beta/alpha, it has potential but if planning to play solo or duos without the 4plot bundle give up now and save your money for a game that respects everyones play style and not just giant clans isolating massive portions of the map off
what should blow your mind is the cash grab that the game is, no you do not get two plots you pay $40 for 1 60 for two and it climbs from there oh and the subscription that you need to make it all work. The game is garbage, has nothing to do other than build the house once you have done that the game is over. Next is the massive holes in the craft system which make you waste mats due to the intentional gaps in the crafting system where you no longer gain exp from the items you can make and then you have a 70% chance of failuer and loss of mats the only one that give you Exp. It is Valheim with EQ like zone lines, then strip all the other aspects of valheim and you get Pax Dei. It is not a survival game at all, as there is no impact from lack of Food, Water or Shelter, zero impact. The gear you make that takes you hours to make around 8 has little to no impact on defense or attack. The PVP is a band-aid, You would first needs to set up this rp pvp meetup as there is no reason or underlining cause that forces you to those zones, there is no base raid no defending another player because fred stole his resources and is an Ahole so lets get him, there is none of that. You need to walk from your zone through the wilderness zone then into a new zone( map )that is set aside for pvp and there is no one there, because no one wants to loose the shitty gear that took them hours to craft, with the scarce resources. The animals are so scarce, that if you take a wrong turn you might come across two outside the starter zone I would strongly suggest that anyone intrested in this game look at the EA video for this unchained cash grab that it is.
There's no compass for you to navigate. The combat is wholly unfinished. There's insufficient storage. There's no directions so, making using boxes, deleting items, finding out what different things do, how construction works, are scream worthy. If you are not in a team, you will not have a good time. I like the look and some of the ideas but no. Between the lag and the lack of compass and the try hards covering all the areas... no. wont be getting this right now.
Kinda funny that you made a video saying we "NEED" to play Pax Dei, going on about how great it is.... and then you never made another Pax Dei video because the game was actually shallow as hell tech demo. You should really take down this video or admit that you were bribed to do it.
So uh. Where are the dozens of people that built that town? Looks like you running around empty roads. This game is just a map with a random mob generator. Then you can pay to get the privilege of building the same crap that the 10 guys 100yrds away are building for no purpose.

Even if you have lots of mats but forced to re-craft entire gear once you die? Hard pass. We already got plenty of building/survival games. There has to be more than just building (and bad pvp design). A game called Hytale is in the works. Basicly Minecraft but with A LOT more content, more bosses, mobs, buildings, weapons, dungeons, caves, hidden treasures etc.
sub 80 iq take
we get it you like theme park games
Never play Rust. Base wipes minimum once a month. I really grew to love the starting grind.
Only an idiot compares Minecraft to something as modern and ambitious as Pax Dei.
Also, one’s a sandbox. The other’s an MMO. Not possible to compare due to the format being completely different.
TL:DR
What are your thoughts on magic?
Thing with this kind of game (sandbox) is literally entirely reliant of the quality of the community, if the player base is trash, they will make the gane absolute trash for everyone & people will just abandon it bit by bit. Sure hope the community will stay as clean as it is right now 🤷
NVIDIA update mentioned this game, never heard of it, saw that it's the same thing that's already been done 20 times and it's still in Alpha, I don't even have the words to express how much I could not care less about this game. Hope everyone else has a great time, enjoy.
It’s not “still in alpha” the whole freaking idea is to build a game WITH the players already in it. This is the beginning of development.
This looks like something I would enjoy, but I am turned off by the price. $40 for 1 small plot of land!
try once human it is said it will be free i'm not sure tho
@@khherbell i did play that like 6h i think and uninstalled xD
6:42 Oh yeah? Wish granted!
Its Conan maybe Ark and a little of rust as well, So noting new just a building game witch will cost a sub to play. I will pass this one for sure.
If i was giving the power and money to make an MMO or Survival game, it would be the best game ever.
I had a good amount of fun in Alpha 2, but then I really enjoy survival crafting games.
it is not a survival game at all , it is a building sim nothing more, you did not manage your Food, Water or Shelter, you did not take any impact from not having those correct?
Play Enshrouded then. Don't give these guys money until they actually build a game.
Box price, subscription and cash shop and it's not even out of alpha... Lol
@@Macphotographs spot on this game is a scam, they took what Chronicles of Eylaria did and expanded it with UE 5 base world, some unmodded assets from the UE5 store and called it a game and for 40 Euro you can own one massive plot wait no it is tiny abouit 8x8 foundations. Next they are selling more characters slots and you know what this means? Profesions will be capped two per characther forcing you into buying them as every cradt skill needs items from the others.
@@Macphotographs I already have, and Valheim, Conan Exiles and 20+ others. All classed as survival/crafting games and I've enjoyed them all. I've literally already played it, it's fine for what it is right now (I don't PVP much so combat doesn't matter to me). It's no different then other titles I played on EA at launch.
@@henryramos4185It’s a societal sim.
Looks like they need to fix the crafting skill tree, actually have a path or catalog to let you know what materials you need instead of guessing.
Or one rich guy got a bunch of accounts and built a city for his main >
@@Macphotographs it has all the survival shit but the survival
Coz, I'm not going to respond to you or Mac because you've both been posting the same kind of ignorant comments on multiple videos for the past week.
Maybe that’s why they want to develop a game with players already in it, ya know see where the issues are.
When the game will be available in torrent? Do not seems to be great thing but wanna try when free iso can be found.
You sound broke.
Not gonna happen. Unless someone create just how it is now, which why?
Do people not understand that it’s being “actively developed”?
@@Sk1ndredd i had already posted a comment with the link, but someone may deleted. Can be download over torrent.
this is will be fun ONLY if it has a large population...
Kinda like "Life is Medieval"
Thanks for covering
People don't quite understand what this game is yet:
No NPCs
No Structures
No quests
Full loot
With thousands of players in a persistent world (server meshing)
PVP & Dungeons is not any later than the 4 days the village folks did. The Organization not only applies to building, but equipment and food crafting > which feeds PVX.
If you won't open your wallet a bit to help an indie studio succeed in their awesome vision of the "true sandbox fantasy mmo".. shame on you! Mainframe has a great track record (Eve online)
not a solo game
I decided not to download once I saw there was DLC available for purchase on an early access game.
Wait a year and see if the Feudal system they introduce meet your needs.
You seriously DON"T need to play Pax Dei! It's a broken, unbalanced, empty build simulator in a huge empty map selling for the price of a finished game.
You guys are trying to sell this game so hard it hurts 😂😂
slow is good, u dont need always regular dungeons, kills, loots, best is all is player made in games, im tired of ready loots already xD
Will follow development but after games like valhall and gloria victus; not purchasing 😅. Still looks a little janky
Why? Once Human out soon :)
Once human is shit
This gives me Wurm Online but modern vibes
can always tell the dodgy content creators when they do stuff like this. thanks for making it clear for us 🤣
"Life is Feudal MMO" tried the same thing , but it failed.
true, its back online Again atm and would not know what this game would do better than LiF
although LiF is far from perfect
Life is Feudal was a barebones games with shitty combat...
@@Wulfey it is already better cause you dont build prefab buildings and have deeper crafting...
Mortal Online I & II tried the same thing too and epicly failed.
LiF:YO was best, they should focus it but, made forest and LiF MMO, i heard MMO is trying new launch with new company or so? still will fail xD
Better then star citizen ?
Excellent! =)
Might have to check it out ;)
I totally agree, I like the idea of the game. Reminds me of UO and SWG. I hope they keep the course and not give into the trolls and stupid ADD Gen Z idiots.
Just read the comments
server size=?
its zoned like old school EQ where you can stand at the server line and look over it and not see the player on the other side of the line you are standing on.
First game in a looooooong time that has any potential to be like star wars galaxies.
Pre nge SWG, best mmo ever made, that and UO imo.
it takes so much from funcom style of games like conan exiles.
Agreed. During Alpha 2 I suggested the Devs play Conan Exiles Act 3 and try to make the crafting and progression as smooth and natural as that
'Product received for free" Also a script was given in this video lol.
TH-cam is full of, yes pay me and I'll give it a thumbs up Influencers/bloggers/whatever the frick they think are!
Bro ... this game has no content... just naking a nice house
Depends on one's perspective really, if you see it as that then you will build your game house & quit 🤷, no big loss for those that actually have plans in the game 😅
Sounds like the most succesful game worldwide... which is minecraft btw
Fax
Its apparent you haven't tested or played. Otherwise you wouldn't make such an ignorant statement.
Don't hate me.. but why am I getting doug demuro vibes from this guy lol
@@AeonSaint 4 months late bud. The game is dead anyways now. Proof that their model sucks and their content is lacking.
@@soliitudegaming7275 Lol, it's not dead.
They just had a big update.
If your words were the case, then why are there so many people playing?
But oh yeah, you don't bother to check up on stuff you say, could that be it?
10-01
Ah yes, not a second lesser then 10 minutes.
This is garbage game that was dead from the moment of it's concept being posted on the steam page. It just repeats ALL the same mistakes dead mmos did for the past... 14 years? jesus christ.
so there isn't much to the game other than crafting and building? that seems dull. darn. i was looking forward to this game.
Wjere is ship
So it’s gonna need a lot of mods to make crafting easy for people to want to play it. Also it doesn’t look like it has a first person mode so probably won’t go great playing with PrayDog’s VR converter mod. Damn what a waste of good graphics.
Horrible payed promotion
Grow up. If you don’t like the game, why are you watching videos about it? Just go play rust bro. Get over it
Looks like a clone of that failed Everquest game from a while back, just without the voxels. Not gonna hold my breath until I see fun gameplay loops.. the combat in this demo seemed cheesy and shallow.
This video actually made me not want to buy it. Why are people making a big deal out of this lol
Wow these dudes built this huge village... then left. Why? There isn't anything to actually DO in said huge village. Sooo much fun. Not. 😂
oooh, the game needs horses
Horse mounts promised, I assume within a year
this guy is getting paid to say this.....
Would love to test it out, still haven't gotten an invite yet though.
I think the invites are done with. But you can buy early access to the early access or a "founders pack" to get in before June 18th, which is the launch into EA I believe. Game looks great though, might have to check it out myself!
Assuming it will still have a forced monthly sub, it will be an easy pass.
Yes, has to be one of the two not both: either you buy once and you pay nothing til the next big expansion, or you get it free and pay a bit per month.
Screw this P2W money grab game!
They already announced monitization plans
Up to100$ for the Game, Subscription based on plots owned,
Cash Shop w/ P2 advance mechanics and WoW tokens.
For a Game in EARLY ACCESS!!
So Pax Dei in Early Access has been on Xsolla so far..and Steam soon.
Xsolla is who brought us Chronicles of Eleria, the massive break out rip off to thousands of players.
What will Pax Dei be?
interesting but character movement and graphics look pretty not great.
New world vol 2.0
Without the numbers and innovative combat, so potentially less flawed but less interesting.
I quit New World because they wouldn't provide any support at all in game for Companies. Pax Dei is going full on in the opposite direction.
Very odd that you have nothing but good things to say about this game.
Non-cubic Minecraft
clearly this streamer was paid to play and wat to say becos this game is worse then it was in beta/alpha, it has potential but if planning to play solo or duos without the 4plot bundle give up now and save your money for a game that respects everyones play style and not just giant clans isolating massive portions of the map off
sorry but if i have to pay 100 dollars for the full game and then a sub screw that shit
what should blow your mind is the cash grab that the game is, no you do not get two plots you pay $40 for 1 60 for two and it climbs from there oh and the subscription that you need to make it all work.
Looks like a massive grind to me, plus you might have to sub to grind, mmm nah
I'm going to give this a pass, looks very much like Myth of Empires
This seems to be a horror game especially since it involves people that you are forced to deal with. Solo offline is the only way to do it
So uh. Where are the dozens of people that built that town? Looks like you running around empty roads. This game is just a map with a random mob generator. Then you can pay to get the privilege of building the same crap that the 10 guys 100yrds away are building for no purpose.
Asmong Gold started that little village if it's the one I'm thinking of
If you buy the early access you'll need to buy the game again on release, that's a first, even Star Citizen didn't go this far lol.
Not true, it says on their site that buying an early access pack counts as having bought the game.
Not shilling or anything, just wanted to point out the statement is incorrect.
@@outcry27 Read their website bro, it's clearly stated that the early access give access to the game until at least June 2025. But that for the release there will be likely a subscription and an initial purchase of the game that is not included in the early access pack.
Not shilling or anything, just wanted to point out the statement is incorrect (and it's written black on white on the official website)
Was this supposed to make me want to play the game? this made me NOT want to play the game XD
Crafting is still horrendous.. long winded and confusing
There better be dev made cities and other main locations otherwise this is going to be a boring ass fun less and story less waste of time.
You make this bare bones game sound exciting. There is no content .. its not even ready for early access. Apart from a very lack luster crafting system that has no variation on what everyone can make and a building system .. what?? NAdA .. a boring walking simulator.
Lmao, dude this game is trash. You literally just build a house. No one “needs” to play this
literally 100 other survival games you can build in, and don't ask for subscription to keep your house there
broing grinding and building, where is the open pvp? nobody wants instanced pvp....
Until they make the combat half decent im not touching this
It looks pretty boring.
