I think someone needs to officially make categories for Alpha , Beta and Early access games. in my opinion, Early Access games should be a mostly complete game and working on fine tuning things that already exist in the game. Beta still adding small things here and there and frequent updates and could potentially / drastically change game mechanics if needed. Alpha, anything and everything could change but working on core mechanics. I think the reason people are hating on this game is because it still seems to be in what i would place in the alpha stage where the game is mostly not complete with the things they want to add but it is presented as early access. Yes there is a lot to love about this game and is fun the way it is but compared to the final vision of the game from what the devs have shared they want to add, seems more or less not so complete for that early access banner they put on the game and i think that is why people are hating
Honestly the people hating on it just have zero social skills I think. The most fun you can have in the game right now after you've leveled your skills up quite high is to run around and help new players and be social xD.

you do not need to touch the same material again to get the new recipes. The new recipes are automatically unlocked once you reach the corresponding skill level. I know this as fact from actually playing the game. For example, I optained iron wire and unlocked the recipes for the first few chainmail items, once I reached a higher armor smithing level, the next tier of chainmail items automatically unlocked.

I'm not sure how he did it but you can hold alt and scroll the mouse wheel to adjust the height of the foundation. Not sure what the height limit is, but in theory you can set a foundation, then go to set one right next to the one you made and raise it's height to max, then set another foundation next to that one that overlaps the first one.
