Stu Fuchs is a lifelong musician, award-winning ukulele artist and teacher of mindfulness through creative play. He has performed gypsy jazz guitar with symphony orchestras and facilitated holistic music clinics worldwide. Stu was artist-in-residence at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY and was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts for his work bringing healing music to cancer patients and their families. He recorded and toured worldwide with renowned sacred chant artist Snatam Kaur, performing guitar on the Grammy nominated Best New Age album “Beloved”. A long-time practitioner of yoga and meditation, his focus is to teach people from all backgrounds to develop a music practice for joy, freedom, and self expression.

I learned to play Jamaica Farwell from your other video and I can’t wait to learn this rendition. Love the Mainland Uke! I drove down to Mainland Ukes in Indiana to buy the red cedar soprano but when I got there I fell in love with the sound of the mahogany concert. Funny how that happens :-) take care and thank you for the tutorial.

the “open chord” he refers to is sometimes written as C5. These are chords with no 3rds or 7ths. In rock they call them “power chords”. Great video

Hey Stu, I was very inspired by this lesson and decided to become a Patreon member. I have been frustrated for several days and many attempts to use my Apple Pay to become a member. I checked with my bank and everything is fine on my end. I contacted Patreon by the only means available, email. I received their form letter with an FAQ, multiple times
. This is completely unacceptable and I am certain you are losing patrons because of it. Yes I suppose I could use my debit card, but it is the principle of the thing. I suggest you look into Patreon and see what is going on. Not zen at all.
