To all here suffering from whatever is tormenting you. I'm here to tell you all that I lived a good 70 percent of my 60 years on this planet plagued with horrible depression, anxiety, trauma, pain, addiction, loneliness, and abandonment in my youth. In the past 10 years I have managed to reverse it all and today I am pretty happy and content. I'm not 100% there, but most days are good. If I can do it, so can you. Give it all to God and let Him guide you! It will get a little better every day.

      How'd you do it ?

    • @iluvdaguitar

@@handyman1016 At first I used prescription meds for depression/anxiety and went to therapy sessions. That wasn't the answer but it got me to a place where at least I could think clearly. I started meditating. That was before easy access to videos like this, so I bought a book on how to meditate for healing and spiritual advancement. At first I just laid in the dark with some sort of ambient sound, like a fan running to block out any tinnitus, and I practiced emptying my mind of all thoughts and tried going deeper into my mind each time. Eventually I got to the point where I could easily clear my mind anytime I wanted almost effortlessly. I actually had an out of body experience during a meditation once and I wasn't even trying to have one. It proved to me that I am more than just a physical body and I have a life force, or soul that is my true being. Knowing the went a long way in helping me because happy and content. By that time I wasn't on any meds anymore. The next part of my journey was learning about different eastern spiritual practices and I started using whatever parts of what I learned that resonated with me. It seems to work for me. I do chakra cleanses, mindfulness meditations, I pray, etc.
Hope that helps. Peace and blessings. ❤🙏✌️❤️

I’d love to hear more on your journey!! I’m a 25 year old female that is a new parent and I’m learning to control my troubled mind. I’m very interested in learning about what happened with your breakthrough

    • @iluvdaguitar
      @iluvdaguitar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@arielfields8923Well, it's not an epic tale by any means. LoL One day I just got thoroughly sick and tired of not feeling well, being clinically depressed, having panic attacks, and not experiencing any joy in life.
About 10 years ago I overheard someone say they meditate to balance their chakras and it transformed their life for the better. By coincidence, or perhaps divine providence, I found a book on how to meditate for the purpose of leaving your body to astral travel. I wasn't interested in astral travel, but it taught how to meditate to clear and quiet your mind, so I read it. Funny thing is, without intending to, I actually did end up having a brief OBE for about two minutes. It was life changing!
After about two weeks of meditating every day I was able to rid my mind of all thoughts, and after three months or so I got to the point where I can instantly clear my mind anytime I choose.
From there I started working on letting go of all the things in my past that caused my emotional problems. I started letting go of resentments towards others, forgiving people that wronged me, and telling myself I am worthy of living a joyful life, and all I need to do is wish it and it will be so.
I'm not perfect today. Occasionally I still have an off day, or a few days, but I think that's normal even for emotionally healthy folks.
Today I realize I have the power to make my own life whatever I choose. I try my best to treat others the way I want to be treated, with kindness and respect. If someone intentionally tries to ruin my day or upset me I know I don't have to allow them to. After a while you realize how ridiculously easy it is to be happy and content. A lot of people think if they can just have a lot of money, a nice house, new car, and take trips to exotic places they'd be happy. You can become a billionaire and own half the world, but you will still be you and your emotional problems will still be there. What people should strive for is an ability to be content with yourself and learn to like who you are, then you can be flat broke, own nothing, and be homeless, but still experience joy every day. That is TRUE happiness and real freedom.

Hang in there sweet girl. The universe is watching out for you. I have been meditating every day for almost 6 months or so mow and it really seems to be helping. Also, i also started brushing my teeth with my non dominant hand every day too, and telling myself i love you in the morning 10 times. I thought it was wierd at first but its supposed to ipen up new neural pathways and help you access your brain more easily. I can say that i really do feel a difference. Anyway, i hope this helps, and if nothing else, know that someone will ne praying for you and sending you good vibrations. Ive been through an extremely hard year in 2023 as well. Fight. Because life is going to fight you. Make sure you get up and fight. I have a lifelong battle with alcohol and have been knocked down multiple times.
But you get up bruised worse than the last time. Weaker than the last time, but whatever has kno led you down, you must get up.
There is only one person that can throw in the towel. End everything... it's you. We know what that means. We can't let that happen.
Beat the 10 count. It's difficult... but it's worth it. Always. Get up and fight your hardest. It is worth it.
      Wish you the best.

My EMDR therapist recommended this to me. She encouraged me to pair it with resource tapping and so far it’s really been helping. Just did it for about 30 min before getting out of bed this morning. If your trying to heal from trauma, or have anxiety, depression, self esteem issues I’d definitely give this method a try. Thank you so much for this music. I had been struggling with PTSD after I saw my cat of 15 years attacked by a dog, which ultimately resulted in the cat dying. I'm a senior and live alone and the cat was my world. I couldn't get past the psychic wound of the whole event. Two months went by when I finally spoke to my primary care doctor and she suggested EMDR therapy. I decided to use bilateral music for that therapy - your music - and its effect on me was profound. I had been debilitated and riddled with guilt, anxiety, depression, and grief and was not able to function. Your music healed my psychic pain!

They’re the most important! They’re connected to the nervous system, vagus nerve and a misalignment can affect organs and how our bodies work.

Therapist recommended this link. I’ve tried listening a few times and it’s really bothered my hearing but did calm me. I haven’t had to use this link again until tonight when I woke up in full blown panic. All I could think about was getting an ice pack to put on my neck, ice water and this bilateral music link with jelly fish. I’m sitting here 30 mins into the video(because I have started and stopped listening in the past) and I am now calm and shaking from adrenaline but the normal after affects of panic. I suffer from Cptsd, anxiety, depression and agoraphobia. Just now learning about the things that help people that have been through trauma and I can say that bilateral music and tapping really work for me. It helps my brain think logically. When I’m in panic all I can think about is that I need to go to the hospital. Not sure what I think the hospital can do about my panic but it’s an easy go-to thought I guess. I’m struggling tonight guys, please say prayers. Thanks

@@richasaxena6636 hey cptsd here. ive been delving into sound therapy lately (in addition to medication + talk therapy but i think it could work without that too) and it seems to be working pretty well so far. so videos like this and others with certain tones help, there's a one hour one for ocd that actually aids in my concentration a lot. grounding will be important, with the whole name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch/physically feel, and 3 things you can hear. meditation also helps; i like to do my meditation to a prefrontal cortex sound therapy video. as well, there are many psychology/mental health videos here on youtube that may very well be beneficial to you. fidget toys and something with a stark smell, like gum or dried herbs, can be good to keep on hand for soothing and grounding purposes.
this part is gonna sound cliche, but your environment and self care really can impact your well-being. you may want to ensure you have a clean living space, and you want to make sure you stay hydrated and supplemented. for days you cant make food, nutrition shakes like boost are very helpful as are electrolyte rich drinks like gatorade and iv in a bottle. bananas are also an easy source of food. hot chamomile tea can also be very very soothing.
in addition to this, magnesium has helped me tremendously. it seems that magnesium supplements really can work wonders for one's mental health; they helped take the edge off of some serious withdrawals.
you may also want to do something rewarding. painting is very soothing; you don't even have to be good at it. grab some acrylic or oil paints from the store, pop on a bob ross video, and paint along with him. in the end, you will have a tangible achievement! you can also write, draw, make jewelry, read...those things are all, in my opinion, quite rewarding. Things like prayer, if you're into that, can also be helpful. I'm a Christian and my faith has helped me tremendously.
if you can, get yourself a support net. being with safe people is a very important thing; you shouldn't have to go through what you're going through alone. if you can, ask a friend if they'd be willing to help you if you need it. dont make your friends your therapists of course, but practice healthy venting.
lastly, realize that whatever happened to you...it wasn't your fault. no one really truly WANTS to be traumatized, it's just a thing that happens to more of us than one would expect. be gentle with yourself and be ready to forgive yourself. and remember, feelings dont last forever, as much as they may feel like they might. you may not feel it, but there is hope for you. there's a good chance you'll be able to find something that eases the sting, and there's a good chance you won't have to be without a professional forever.
edit: changed "ptsd with complex and psychotic symptoms" to cptsd because im seeing a new trauma therapist who said she's never heard that diagnosis in her life. she works in an institute.

@@briangullickson9013 God bless you too my friend; i hope you're well too. i will add that you need to be a bit discerning with magnesium because i found that, in conjunction with things like gabapentin, it can actually lower the effects. strangely enough those are also the withdrawals it helped with. im also now doing an outpatient program and it is just wonderful, so if you or someone else needs something like that and can find an institute with good ratings online, i'd go for it. changing my life for the better. listening to affirmations videos also helps to "reprogram" your brain by feeding it good stuff repeatedly. jessica heslop has good ones here on youtube. i especially like her inner child, procrastination, confidence, and discipline ones :)

The tears began and calm is settling in as i listen to this. I’ve had depression and i believe PTSD for a # of reasons over my 66 yrs if living. Adoption trauma and subsequent poor choices based on feelings of liss, grief, abandonment, emptiness, guilt, shame, fear, lack of self-esteem, self-respect, and confidence and the list goes on. Saved twice from attempting suicide.
