I get really bad anxiety and I listen to this type of music while I sleep and while I read. My job has caused my anxiety to get worse and I've ended up getting OCD because of it, I work in a kitchen where it gets dirty and unorganized that it's caused a lot, so listening to this helps me out when I get home from work
I have ptsd my trauma, my family, my work life and everything has made my conditions worsen especially 7 years of employment . I do alot of art therapy exercises at home especially painting being at my apartment listening to this music while I'm either painting or knitting it slowly calms me down where I can learn to unleash my feelings and thoughts I have a hard time being emotional around people and Stay to myself and release my thoughts by talking to myself, writing down on paper, drawing, and listening to music
Bilateral stimulation causes associations to occur in EMDR therapy. That may be what's happening. This particular bilateral stimulation is a bit on the faster side so your trauma may be getting stirred up because of it. It's a real thing. Maybe this isn't for your nervous system today. I wish you healing and support. ♡

This is a great question. Thank you for asking it, because I'm sure there are a lot of people who have the same question. Bilateral beat alone or set in relaxing music, sends the beat back and forth, activating both left and right sides of the brain, which helps the brain reset itself and work the way it's intended to. It is able to calm the brain chatter (so to speak) down and be able to focus. When you experience a traumatic event, you remember it differently than other events. During the traumatic event, the fight or flight response causes all of our senses to be on high alert. It's not remembered in a nice little storyboard format. Instead the brain starts getting bombarded with the fragmented memories of different aspects all the senses were noticing at the same time. Because of that, when you try to work on the trauma, the brain tends to relive the trauma in a way that can be really terrifying and information can come too fast to deal with effectively. That's a very basic explanation of why it helps in emdr work, because it simply helps the brain calm down, find refuge from the panic or anxiety, and focus on the task at hand in a productive way. We have the serendipity to work with one of the great pioneers and leaders in trauma informed care, bilateral beat and other brain trauma healing and recovery research. If you have specific questions, we will ask her those questions. In fact we are planning to have an interview with her in the coming months and your questions would help us prepare for that. Hope that helps a little in the meantime :-)
