    Packed with breathtaking images, the verticality of the the mountains really makes a world of difference compared to our (flat) neck of the woods. As for the pictures of your family, I think you'll cherish those for a long time. They're beautifully done!

      Thanks Andreas 👊🏻. Yep, being from Belgium, we appreciate the beauty of the mountains 🏔 even more 😇. The family photos are indeed precious. Time goes so fast, a couple of frozen moments help to remember in the long run. (First day of school coming up 🫣)

    Just got into the leica ecosystem with the M11 as well. I love how you are able to capture those family moments beautifully. Excited to do that in the future. Thanks for sharing the photos!

      Welcome to the world of Leica 🔴. A big part of my photography is indeed trying to capture small moments that I want to remember. Hope it can inspire you to do the same. Have fun with your M11 ✌🏻

    Such a serendipitous TH-cam recommendation, my wife and I are traveling from Los Angeles and visiting Austria / Zugspitze. I brought my Leica along to use for the first time and this video brought me a lot of inspiration! Beautiful family photos!

    Wonderful video and music. Good work. The 50 Summilux is a good middle ground. I already have some difficulty getting good focus shots with the 75 Summicron on the M11. I imagine the Noctilux would much more difficult.
    I just got a Pro Mist filter for my 50 Summilux and looking forward to making more photos with this.

      The depth of field of the Noctilux, especially at close focusing distance is very thin. So yeah, it’s often hit or miss 🫣.
      Which intensity did you choose for the Pro mist? Happy shooting with it 📸🤩

      @@berndvandecruys I got the 1/8th strength to start with. I'll test it out then see if I need anything stronger.

    Nice pictures ! The combo Leica M11 and Summilux lens I think is better in terms of ergonomics. 🙌

      The Summilux is still my favourite lens. It renders so beautiful, it's fast and balances nicely. I might get a chance to test the 50 APO. The opposite of the Noctilux, extremely sharp, incredible contrast and almost no Chromatic aberration... :-)

    How do you like the M11 compared to your M10-P?

    • @berndvandecruys
      @berndvandecruys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It feels very familiar, but the improvements are intriguing. Moving the function button to the top plate next to the shutter feels much more natural. The new battery is awesome (no spare one needed for a day of shooting), the sensor is amazing (and I like the extra cropping options with that many megapixels), USB-C is very convenient (1 charger for phone, laptop and now camera 👌🏻). But I still like the P design more (no red dot). So the M11-P is what I would aim for 😇

    • @Miao251
      @Miao251 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@berndvandecruys Thanks for the reply, you are making things harder for sure haha. I really dig the new features when it comes to the charging and battery and the ability to change mp as you like. I agree with the red leica dot, the «p» verdion looks so much better.

    • @berndvandecruys
      @berndvandecruys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Miao251 the M11 is a worthy successor to the M10, but the stealthy look of the P is just 👌.I just wonder which extra features they would fit in the M11-P, apart from the aesthetics...

    Nice photos. Many questions here…
    1: what did you record video on?
    2: do you own the M11 and Noctilix or was it rented / borrowed?

    • @berndvandecruys
      @berndvandecruys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      1/ the video is a mix of iPhone footage (X and 13 Pro) and GoPro Hero 9. Quality is not always great, but it's so convenient and helps me keep the kit light, minimalist and nimble.
      2/ I currently have the M11 and the Noctilux on loan, thanks to a local Leica dealer that put me in contact with the Leica marketing team of my region. I am currently finishing up a video about the Noctilux (with lots of sample photos shot wide open). After that I will need to send it back.
      If you have any other questions, shoot. Always nice to meet new people that enjoy the rangefinder experience ✌🏻

    the 50 noctilux is the only 50mm i own. I agree with everything you said and I think I might need something a bit easier to use.

    • @berndvandecruys
      @berndvandecruys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends what you're after of course, but if the scene doesn't require the speed or the look, a Summicron or Summilux is much nicer to use on an M body. Then again, if you nail a Noctilux shot, it's quite special and worth the extra effort :-).
