Yup same here lmao. Took me a solid hour or two. Not advisable as your literal first encounter cz u just get one shot and do so little damage not to mention you have no abilities at all to help you out. But we prevailed regardless lol
It’s for sure much harder in this game than Fallen Order, because I found the scaling much more crazy in that game than in Survivor. Endgame Cal literally rips Trilla’s spine out (ingame) even on GM lol. Constantly slowing her and spamming the dual wield force attack while BD filling up your force meter completely breaks the game. I just beat FO again and I decided to fight her normally and even then it’s piss easy, bosses in FO feel so much slower than in Survivor. Rayvis on the other hand made switch back to Master from GM after 3 hours of suffering due to his fucking regen during phase 2
Doesn’t help that the optimization is shit 😭 when the game first came out, even on performance mode on PS5 it was bad. Especially considering how small the parry window is, you really need a smooth gameplay experience. Grandmaster on release was almost unplayable. Switched to master bcuz it really wasn’t worth it especially when you’re properly timing it but your inputs just aren’t being picked up due to performance issues. Happy to say tho that it’s a lot better now like 2 weeks later with the updates. Still a long way from actually running smoothly but at least it’s better lmao
The double Rancor was so difficult. I hadn't even run into the single Rancor encounter (That I'm assuming is on Koboh) when I did the double Rancor since I had chosen Coruscant to 100% first. I just used blaster stance and stayed away as much as possible lol. But RICK THE DOOR TECHNICAN took me longer to beat than it took me to beat Fallen Order.

As an OG trilogy fan I was freaking out when I found out the bone trick and can’t wait to see Zannys reaction to the poncho and how you have to get it (If you know you know)
GG!! I have to say Rancor on GM was a really fun fight. I fought and beat him early on when literally any of his attacks besides the stomp will one-shot you and I must say learning his moves inside and out until I was able to accurately predict them exhilarating... then they ruin that fun by adding a Rancor gank fight with no i frames on being hit. GM difficulty for like 80% of it is really fun and balanced and an adequate challenge and then the other 20% are just miserable and I would not wish upon anybody but my worst enemies.
I fought him towards the end of the game with a fat health bar and he still one shotted me- super hard for sure took me 6-7 attempts because I had a lot of upgrades to my stances
Yeah, this battle was though af. I completed it when I didn't have blaster or crossguard yet, which I hear are both pretty good for this fight, so that was a pain 💀 Luckily, dual wield auto-parry exists
After a few attempts I noticed that 1: The Rancor never has more than a 2-hit combo. Like this you know when you can attack. 2: Keep your distane and only attack once he have finished a combo. By keeping your distance you can easliy dodge all of his attacks, and only go in for an attack after he rushes you and closes the distance. 3: When the Rancor have closed the distance on you (you should not) attack once with a big heavy attack, then back out his melee range, dodge the ranged attacks. Rinse and repeat. 4. I beat him fully in crossguard stance, but you could combo with blaster stance and use that when you keep your distance, and switch to crossguard for a big, heavy attack once the Rancor closes the distance. If you don't want to bother switching between stances, I suggest using the perk that grants you passive Force regen and throw the crossguard lightsaber when you're at range.

Not bad. My take would be: -Put skill points into maxing your health --Put skill points into double bladed skills, particularly the hold down button attack and the maul spin -Use Double Bladed Lightsaber -Parry his blows -Proceed to unload a spin to win amount of lightsaber attacks (that should've gone to the dual wield) -Rinse and repeat till dead Bonus: put bone in mouth during fight to flex because once you get the parry timing down you won't need it
I fought him on grand Master early into the game. All attacks one shot me, but I was doing decent damage to him, so I decided to struggle through it, I don't know how long it took but I beat the rancor, no hit, my tips jump instead of dodging. The double jump makes you move so far that he would have to start walking towards me, unlike the dodge that would force you to stop after the second baby dodge, and because the baby dodge stopped you for a bit you couldn't get away.
