In all honesty this cash in felt epic more because it followed a pretty good elimination chamber. Edge only holding it for a short period might have seemed bad at the time but he went on to establish himself as one of the top guys at the time.
I just wish WWE had given us a Cena vs Edge Main Event at WrestleMania.Their rivalry brought the best out of either man.
Backlash 2001. Brothers of Destruction vs 2 Man Power Trip. All the belts r on the line in that one match.
The woman who played Shelton Benjamin's Momma is standup comedienne Thea Vidale. Her run with the company was cut short due to needing heart surgery about a month before WrestleMania.
At times, I still can't believe Trish Stratus graced us wrestling fans with her presence.

Don't forget Team Lesnar vs Team Angle.Benoit and Cena being the survivors of that match had a long term storytelling impact leading into WrestleMania 20.

Cena/Carlito/Masters as a final 3 in Elimination Chamber feels like Reigns/Cesaro/Rusev as the final 3 in a theoretical 2020 Rumble. Your heart roots for the underdog to pull the upset but your mind sees the result a mile away

I remember when the money in the bank match was announce it was explained that it had a contract that guarantees a any title shot at any place or time. So they did give an explanation on how it works we just never seen being cash in
The kickstart of a memorable rivalry ending with that 5 ⭐ TLC match at Unforgiven 2006.That should be the next Retro Ups and Downs.

As a youth my father took me to a wwe house show. The spirit squad were there before their tv debut, and two of them were piled on top of each other and suffered the fate of the “Visagra”. The crowd popped for it.

How about very retro with WrestleMania V - The Mega Powers Explode!
It has some prime action in tag matches with Rockers, Hart Foundation, and Demolition. Rick Rude v. Ultimate Warrior for IC belt. Also, the match that was my favorite as a kid, Mr. Perfect v. Blue Blazer. As well as an all time great Piper's Pit.
This PPV has a special place in my heart for one of my favourite personal WWE moments. Our local movie theatre was streaming the PPVs, which was also such a cool experience even though there were only maybe 25 people there. But they accidentally cut the audio out right as Vince McMahon walked out. So everyone in the theatre was shouting and trying to lip read what in the world was happening. And the only word we all caught (and all shouted out in almost-unison) was “Edge”. The audio came back as Edge was getting into the ring, but those moments of just a bunch of confused and hyped up wrestling fans trying desperately to lip read and then the big triumphant “Edge!” was such a surreal moment that I always remember fondly

I rewatched this quite recently.
It wasn't a terrible PPV leading into the main event. I would probably have it at 5 ups and 3 downs before the brown down of the main event.
Since Backlash is this sunday my suggestion will be Backlash 2009.

2006 is WWE’s best year and I’ll die on this hill. You NEED to do Unforgiven 2006! A lot of feuds came to an end there.

You just unlocked a memory I had completely forgotten, I had that board game with the DVD! I was about 7 at the time so I don't completely remember how it worked and i don't have it anymore but I definitely remember my brother and I playing it because we were obsessed with WWE at the time

That's WCW's first Uncensored PPV, 95 I think.
