This is a major reason why the infection and death rate in America is so much higher than the rest of the world. Too many Americans are confusing freedom with thinking they don't have a responsibility to protect the common good in a crisis. Can you imagine what would have happened to our country if Americans acted like that during World War 1 or 2? I love my freedom and there are many benefits of our individualistic culture over collectivistic ones, but this is not one of those times.

@Dimas Putra Here you are-- Education, Fun & for FREE: I can only post the facts for you... I can't 'understand them' for you too. That is ALL on YOU. Feel free to make your argument with the Medical Specialists who've been listed below.
Masks have been proven to be ineffective at preventing the transmission of viruses-- evidenced by the numbers peer-reviewed medical studies, but there are also studies showing negative affects of wearing masks, such as causing Bacterial Pneumonia.
An N-95 mask still lets 5% of anything smaller than 3 microns thru all the time. At 10% relative humidity to lets particles up to 8 microns thru. The Wuhan corona virus is 1.25 Nano microns big, that's : 0.00125 microns. That's 2400 times smaller than what an N-95 mask can filter. Yes, you can catch the flu while wearing an N-95 mask.
"More to the point, indoor airborne virus concentrations have been shown to exist (in day-care facilities, health centres, and onboard airplanes) primarily as aerosol particles of diameters smaller than 2.5 μm, such as in the work of Yang et al. (2011): If his view of the mechanism is correct (ie. "physical loss"), then Shaman's work further necessarily implies that the dryness-driven high transmissibility (large R0) arises from small aerosol particles fluidly suspended in the air; as opposed to larger droplets, which are quickly gravitationally removed from the air. Such small aerosol particles fluidly suspended in air, of biological origin, are of every variety and are everywhere, including down to virion-sizes (Depres, 2012).
As a matter of fact Brooke et al. (2013) showed that, "contrary to prior modeling assumptions, although not all influenza-A-infected cells in the human body produce infectious progeny (virions), nonetheless, 90% of infected cell are significantly impacted, rather than simply surviving unharmed.
All of that to say that: if anything gets through (and it always does, irrespective of the mask), then you are going to be infected. Masks cannot possibly work. It is not surprising, therefore, that no bias-free study has ever found a benefit from wearing a mask or respirator in this application.
Therefore, the studies that show partial stopping power of masks, or that show that masks can capture many large droplets produced by a sneezing or coughing mask-wearer, in light of the above -described features of the problem, are IRRELEVANT."
Baccam et al. (2006), Lowen et al. (2007), Zwart et al. (2009), Shaman et al. (2010), Viboud (2010), Yelzi and Otter (2011), bin-Reza et al. (2012) "The use of masks and respirators to prevent transmission of influenza: a systematic review of the science evidence", Influenza, and Other Respiratory Viruses 6(4), 257-267. There were 17 eligible studies. (...) None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask / respirator use and protection against influenza infection." Brooke et al. (2013), Clinical Infectious Diseases, Volume 65, Issue 11, 1 December 2017, Pages 1934-1942, Radonovich, L.J. et al. (2019) "N95 Respirators vs Medical Masks for Preventing Influenza Among Health Care Personnel: A Randomized Clinical Trial", JAMA. 2019; 322(9):824-833. doing:10.1001/jama.2019. 11645, Paules and Subbaro (2017), Offeddu, V. et al. (2020) "Effectiveness of N95 respirators versus surgical masks against influenza: A systematic review and meta-analysis, J Evid Based Med. 2020
The W.H.O. has recently also come out against lockdowns and together w/ the medical evidence re: the efficacy of masks and how they DO NOT prevent the transmission, there is NO justification for mask mandates nor locking down the economy.

Nobody is saying masks on their own stop covid. They help. A lot!. Along with hand washing, social distancing and staying home.
A symptomatic people DO pass on the virus. So they can be the source of an outbreak. So there is every need to wear a mask!. In many places there are hospitals that have reached maximum capacity or ran out of oxygen. So lockdown is very much needed. People are stupid. As soon as things started looking good again, they got wreckless and you have the situation we're all in now.
There is no evidence that you get bacterial pneumonia by wearing a mask. Unless you have an unwashed dirty mask. However there's loads of evidence that people are dying from Corona virus. So a normal person weighs up those odds. Hmmm. Millions dying of covid. No evidence of dying from bacterial pneumonia caused by masks. I know what I'm going to do. Wear a mask.
I'm not a mask expert. I doubt you are either. But I know this. The virus particles are small. But. Crucially. They are bonded to much bigger particles that do not fit. Also. Masks are not like a sieve. Catching big stuff and the smaller stuff falls through the gaps. This isn't how they work. So your sizing logic is useless. Look it up.

    - She goes into the store and then takes the mask off
    - The staff ask her to put the mask back on (“It puts the lotion on it’s skin, or else it gets the hose again”) because THEIR policy is that staff and customers must wear a mask inside the store
    - She refuses and after putting on her metaphorical science hat begins to spew out some nonsense about not wanting to breathe in her own CO2 by wearing the mask (at which point my mind wanders to a surgery room where doctors and nurses wear masks for hours on end without passing out from breathing in too much of their own CO2 🤔)
    - the manager calls the police to have Karen escorted out of the store for not following store procedure
    - Karen is astonished by the manager’s actions because OBVIOUSLY she is in the right here
    - Karen records much of their interaction and then gives us a demonstration of how she puts her mask on and how she takes her mask off (which many of us are grateful for because those masks sure can be confusing...oh wait, this is mostly TYT subscribers watching this, not trump cult members, so no demo needed here Karen
    So to summarize.....

      of bacteria and we keep
      breathing toxic bacterias. During
      1918, there was flu pandemiC.
      Everyone had to wear masks

      many year after pandemic got

      more we investigated, the more

Here you are-- Education, Fun & for FREE: I can only post the facts for you...
@@unfailingcolt8928 Here you are-- Education, Fun & for FREE: I can only post the facts for you...
The W.H.O. has recently also come out against lockdowns and together w/ the medical evidence re: the efficacy of masks and how they DO NOT prevent the transmission, there is NO justification for mask mandates nor locking down the economy.

Also, a surgery’s time depends on what is being operated and what problems/complications may arise during surgery so saying that “they remain in surgery for a limited period of time” is a stretch since there is no time limit on the surgery itself. Now, a surgeon does wear a mask because they are in front of an open body and it’s sanitary, but the medical professionals have told us to wear a mask because when we breathe we breathe out bacteria. In a science daily article, it says “A person's mere presence in a room can add 37 million bacteria to the air every hour -- material largely left behind by previous occupants and stirred up from the floor -- according to new research.” And that bacteria is just from your presence, now imagine if you don’t have a mask and your breathing, that bacteria that you have inside of you will eventually come out and infect another person. Please read a book or at least get your head out of your ass. And next time provide sources like I did so you don’t look like an uneducated idiot.

Here you are-- Education, Fun & for FREE: I can only post the facts for you...
2019; 322(9):824-833. doing:10.1001/jama.2019. 11645, Paules and Subbaro (2017), Offeddu, V. et al. Lol. And those people need to stay home! You should also stay home until you can carry on normally! I have every right to choose not to wear a mask and I have no obligation to your health. This is a nation ruled by law. Not by health risk moron. People with weak immune systems usually made themselves that way due to their poor choices! Should we close down the beaches because people drown? Should we demand sunblock is enforced everywhere because the sun causes cancer? Should we outlaw foods that cause heart problems and lead to death and weakened immune systems? Or alcohol and cigarettes which also cause this? Nope so we aren’t going to tell normal people to wear masks. If you have a health problem you need to take care of yourself, no one is obligated to do this for you. This type of talk is harassment and anti American. We can’t even prove covid exists by isolating it. We can however prove cancer is caused by alcohol, cigarettes, and poor diet… yet you want to go after an unproven sickness that didn’t kill people because it doesn’t technically exist?
