To all the detractors: I have a 22 month old Peugeot 3008 hybrid and I love it. It’s comfortable, practical, economic and has easy access and egress. And thank you Cinch for this report 🌞
Its an estate not a station wagon- we're not American!
Don't you mean shooting brake?
They say station wagon in Holland
the name is literally 508 SW lol
SW stands for Sports Wagon
Nope lol "The SW badge is short for Station Wagon, and has been used on estate versions of Peugeot's compact family car since the 307 SW arrived in 2002."
From what I see on the roads today there are very few drivers who are capable of being let loose with a car of this power
Nice to see an estate rather than another SUV. Can’t understand why so many people overlook estate cars and buy SUVs. Estate cars are nicer to drive, more efficient & economical and very practical.
They're so much more practical but people want to sit up high and try act like bullies on the road. It's not only that thought but jump in most of the cross overs and they've cranked the seat as high as it possibly goes and as close to he steering wheel as possible! My leon estate is a lot more practical than any suv in its price range.
I'll admit I like the cupra formentor but I'd have it slammed if I was to ever buy one and it's less practical than the estate😂
@@Kieran_OPC I had 2 x CRVS (mk2 & mk3) when my kids were younger. Reasoning was the huge boot meant I was able to sell my van I used for my work & run just one vehicle. I no longer do that line of work and my kids are grown up so it was a relief & joy to be able to drive an estate car again. You get used to lower driving position very quickly, it’s just fun to drive, really good on fuel & goes round bends like a car should 🤣.
I love estate's I've always had estate cars audi volvos ford's vw I currently have a focus st line estate when I was looking for new car I was going to go for the vauxhall astra estate vx line but was told by vauxhall it'll be nearly two years to get it Ford to the rescue I love my st line focus estate
Wagons are the way to go no more suv 's this peugeot is a good looking car though
@@timewilltella39 I’m currently enjoying a Toyota Corolla 2.0 hybrid touring sport (estate). Practical, yet good looking, handles well, economical & being the 2.0 has some getup & go. Get minimum of 50mpg, on longer runs mid to late 50’s. Brilliant car that I’m very happy with.
First time watching this channel. Great review and balanced commentary on pros and cons. Thanks!
Thank you, James. We try our best and really appreciate the kind words
I think the Peugeot reliability and savage depreciation would stop anyone buying this new over a comparable BMW. But as a second hand buy it starts to make more sense.
But we're now in 2024, Peugeot is now one of the most reliable brands you can buy
This guy knows his cars and obviously a pro driver 👍🏻
Thanks, Mark! 🙌🏼
Great looking car
Best in class, right? 😍
@@cinch yep
Look at the sag in the seat of the test car and judge for yourself if it's worth the money. Not to mention I have drive one and it's not as big as this guy claims.
5 seconds to 60 is nice but you soon get bored and want for more. 4.5 on my BMW 540i touring was ok and a remap of 400+bhp trims it to just over 3 seconds to 60mph and off to 155mph quicker.than you can say how many points officer. Even so this Peugeot is definitely worth a punt if the reliability is guaranteed.
That’s rapid! Bet it handled lovely too
In the video it takes nearly 7 so real world expectations already starting to show the spec sheet to be lies.
What the bloody hell use is that sort of power on todays roads
Oh dear. I imagine sharing a road with you is awful. Shaving off 0.5 of a second in order to get a 'buzz'!
@@user-df9hs3hp5f if you have or need to overtake it takes a fraction of the time and in an emergency you can be gone
Top of the line design ?? Horrid 😳😭
Ps I have Sea hatch on my boat 😁
IK WERE YOUR AT YOUR ON HIGH ST RD
Even these New models of the 508 R8 the body panels are still out of line the bonnet still sits lower than both front wings & front top panel. in the cold weather ice locks the door windows so you cannot gain entry into the vehicle. Stop start packs up & Peugeot get customers to pay out for new batteries because the battery drains the B pillars are open to the road which causes lots of road noise. also in the cold weather the windows constantly condensate up on the inside & the water runs down behind the dash which will cause many issues as time goes on. Valve cover causes issues whistling /ringing sound & your have to pay out for the valve cover gasket. Dont purchase electric vehicles
BS - I own the 2.0 HDi and all what you describe here is not true or over-exagerated - this is my 3rd 508 SW after two company cars of the first model and they are very reliable😊
@@pe7893 I'm attached to two owners club pages & these are the issues that owners have had with their vehicles

It’s a Pug. Enough said. Could be worse, could be a Citroen. Sadly little that comes out of France these days is worth driving.
Sad for you it's a Pug ! Another fantastic Peugeot and a great review.
They've changed a lot. It would be worth taking one for a test drive. You might be surprised
Sorry can’t watch no more it’s a Peugeot do you really think it’s gonna be any good after Thursday?
Yes but it's got tiny boot space and it's not actually that fast and the ride is like a wheelbarrow. Oh and its does not fit the children in the back never mind adults. I don't like the styling inside or out. Sad fact is I have a 20 year old rover that is faster more comfortable carries more stuff and has better leg room all in the same length of car. The car industry has lost the plot!
You're full of BS!
@truthsayerq7264 That's your opinion fella but the facts are facts my 75 TOURER has a bigger boot more leg room and is a faster car 0-60 and top speed. Instead of chucking insults go look up the figures. The car industry has indeed lost the plot. I would say the problem is that you just swallow the marketing BS without thinking for yourself.
Beautiful looking car inside and out peugeot got this one right again just as the 508 before head turner
