The Studio Mk2 is a good offering and I got one. I have the MPC One too. They are different. Both are good to go. The MPC One is for standalone work with my digital pianos and synthesizers. The Studio Mk2 is for tethered operation with my laptop.

Thank you so much for the video. I am a total newbie, wanting to make boom bap style hip hop beats. I am not a musician, so I will be 100% sample based. This is merely be a hobby for me. I have no professional aspirations to whatsoever. I just love the music and have been a follower and fan since Rappers Delight (I am 51 years of age). For my needs, I believe the Studio MK2 would be ideal. For some one that doesn't use a Mac, where can I find information on what specs I would need on a PC so that everything runs smoothly. Also, would I need to purchase a audio interface? Since this video, I am sure you have used your Studio MK2. What has been your experience? Can you share any advice or feedback with me. It would depend on your budget, I bought the studio because I needed something get me back making beats that wasn’t going to break the bank, and I had just bought a new MacBook but but will get you over the finish line, one I just a little more expensive
