Just getting into Flames of War and can't thank you enough for this video. Others have tried, but you have made a really fantastic intro/how to play video!
I watched a bunch of videos on how to play flames of war, and this one was by far the best. I took a bunch of notes and cannot wait to start playing! Thanks, you've earned yourself a sub.
Excellent video. Nice simplistic way to present the game flow. Much appreciated. I’m new to FoW but not at all new to table top wargames. Each one has its own nuances even though many similarities are shared. You do a good job of presenting everything here. I feel I can get started now right away. Thanks for posting this! 👍
Nice video! My only observation would be in the assault process. A team needs to be in contact with the enemy team or be in contact with another team that is DIRECTLY in contact with an enemy team to be an assaulting team. Cheers
Great Tutorial, very simple and concise. I do have a question though. What's the usual game like in terms of points? I'm new to flames of war, but play other systems like 40k and Infinity.
I have a couple of quick questions regarding movement and the ‘facing’ of vehicles. First off, every tutorial I’ve seen shows tanks moving in basic straight lines. If I want to turn my vehicle as it travels, is there any restrictions on how this works? For example, if I want to drive around a building at tactical speed, would I simply move 5” forward, turn 90 degrees, and move a further 5”? Also, at the end of the movement, are there any restrictions on vehicle facing/orientation? Or can I elect to have my vehicle face in any direction after moving? For example, say I travel 10 inches ‘southbound’. When I finish moving could I have my vehicle face ‘northbound’ IE end my move facing in the opposite direction that I travelled? I hope this makes sense!
Rhere's no restrictions on turning. You can bend your measuring tape and drive in a semi circle or move how you want. The only restriction is distance, other units in the way whaen you end your turn
Good video but still seems a little confusing with all the rolls that a player has to do for every action to check if anything happened! Still though very insightful and I will definitely keep your video handy once I get to playing. Thanks mate!
Good video very concise and to the point. Is there a way to play this with 1:72 but still on a smaller scale or would that ruin the game? I see it is played with 1 to 100 but I already have some 1 to 72 models. Maybe smaller scale skirmishes at closer ranges?
Hi! Thanks for this video. I'm a little confused about the structure of this game. Is it like you pick a country and then build out that army? Or do people tend to build out a few different country's armies (or mix and match between them)?
Could you range in somewhere on the board without targeting units? Ex. Trying to funnel units away going a certain way or a deterrent from going that way?
How to play flames of war(enjoy)
Thank you! Looking forward to maybe a more in depth how to
Thanks, mate! Just got into this game
Is it bad I 3d print my tanks because I dont have a enough money to pay for ligitamte ones

Thank you glad to help.
@@JKWARGAMES i have a question, what do i have to roll to do certain movements? Like if i want to do a tactical dash, what do i have to roll?
You dont have to roll to do different moves. But if you make a blitz move you need to roll for that.
@@JKWARGAMES ok. Thanks.

Thank you so much ! I finally got my head around the assault phase 🤪! Very good job 👏 👍 big love from Québec!
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm brand new to FoW and it helps to see the concepts put into play on the table.

Good work. I think this is the best 15 minute-ish intro to FoW basics I've ever seen -- even though you didn't really address morale.
Thanks very much
The hedge grove:That’s not cover... that’s concealment.

Thanks, not sure 1.1 is best scale for the rules!!
Great video!!

Many thanks, pick a country build an army!!

Excellent demo vid!
What gaming mat is shown in this video? I would like to purchase it. Thx!
It seems this edition wants to be primarily about armor units
No reaction fire? So you can just move in front of the enemy with no reactions?
Nice vid👍
One thing, Stug is pronounced like "stook" as in book!
Lol thanks glad you enjoyed. Stook.
Where did you get that gaming mat?
Cigarbox. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the quick reply. Is yours the 25mm or 15mm size?

Great video. One question, where can I get the unit's points?
Unit points are on the unit cards on the back. Or in one of the army books.
Can you only play mid to late war in 4th ed , the online site still sells early war blitskrieg ministries but tyres no rules available to play ?
need help building a mid war British list
great vid , helps me alot
Wait do the unit cards come with the sets or not as I'm new btw
Most new sets come with the cards, or you buy the cards separate.
@@JKWARGAMES thanks also do you think a budget of 60 quid ish could get me two sets of inf and one set of crusaders
Yeah i think so shop around. The new hit the beach starter set is out.
Does Flames of War have planes too?
So what is the terrain dash then?
Is there a rule for gun elevation ? Cuz that Sherman’s gun is over the cover
No Flames uses a very abstract style system for cover, and line of sight.
nice one chap
Thank you sir!!
This is ww2 version of warhammer for sure lol
Thanks
Can you shoot a bailed out crew?
No the tank can still be shot at tho.
That's not how you pronounce stug.
