I love the fact that you mentioned how other TH-camrs do little by little in detail. I paint exactly like you, I just call myself The Messy Painter now because I rarely see anyone paint full coverage at a time. This was validation lol

That was so detailed. I always had doubt what are highlighted areas, how to give highlights, how to blend and all. You explained it so well. I felt like you're doing it in real time with no editing in between. But when you said you took 3 hours, I stopped breathing. A lot of patience. It definitely gives results.
I even tried doing it today. I have never even drew a portrait before. Not even distorted one. But your video helped me paint a full portrait. Thanks for the guidance.

Thanks for your tutorial, I watched several times, along with other videos on achieving dark tones, your approach was the easiest to follow, I used your method with some slight modification (my photo reference was of darker tones than yours) and I am very pleased with the results, thanks again for sharing, I am still learning at 65 years of age and enjoy painting.
I'm so thankful for the "process doesn't have to be pretty" part bc my process never looks nice, it always looks messy and it's hard to imagine the result will look nice

How are you able to blend in after the color has dried? I see you go back adding details and blending on the parts that have already dried. How? Do you dilute the paint a bit? Thank you so much if you do answer!
