could u maybe consider doing in the future a tutorial for anatomy / to not make the poses look stiff?? :)) love this tutorial a lot too, helped a lot since i struggle w rendering!
A few micro tips that helped me was line of action, wacky angles, exagerating features, and breaking reality First, line of action to guide the energy of a character, this will be your main tether for keeping things in agreement/composed. use this to know where to place important features. wacky angles, don't be afraid to hide unimportant parts, I remember trying to draw an entire arm even though the hand would've logically covered it up with fore shortening, and ultimately, I want people to pay attention to the hand, so what if the arm ends up being unseen because of how short it is! Exagerating features, in order to get more dynamic angles, it really helps to make objects that are closer to reallllly push how big they are. same thing for stuff that's slightly far away. make that stuff TINY! same thing for limbs following a curve. obviously a leg can only bend at the joint, but it's art! if the line of action curves, bend the bones to really exude the energy of that dynamic curve anyways all of this will require a lot of experimentation and it will look pretty silly but you can always ask people specific questions like, why the arm looks funny all that being said, I can share my discord if anything I said was confusing. art is hard when I don't have pictures lol
I recommend Actorcore or Sketchfab for anatomy/ character references. Actorecore has animation cycles with default male & female models that would do great for studying how to body move and look. 👍
Just a small tips guys. There are three main important things about colour; hue, saturation and value. Value: dark to white. This shows the brightness or the darkness of a colour you picked. Hue: a colour. Saturation: whether the colour is more pale, has more contrast and etc. -Value helps to see which colour is lighter or darker, this is a very important and useful aspect that can help in paintings or drawings. For example: I take yellow and blue, different hues but I didn’t change the saturation. When we put the two colours into grayscale, they both gave complete different values; yellow is brighter while blue is darker. Grayscale can help inspect colour values, so it’s an immense help when making art pieces. -Saturation is great as well. This will help the way you want your drawings to feel or appear. A more saturated tone means it has more vibrant colours or contrast. While a less saturated tone is the opposite, giving paler or desaturated colours. -Hue is to know what colour you want to use specifically. Or to know how to work colours in a complexe way. Yiu want to make sure you know or have the colour wheel, either digitally or traditionally. You first decide one colour, example, I picked red. We want to find the opposite direction of the position of where red is, and for me, that would be blue. If you are using THREE colour, it will be the same, but remember it’s like some sort of triangle: two opposite colours on the same row, and one in different.
Thank youuu so much for this. Not even lying but this is my dream coloring style and you randomly appear on my recommended out of no where with a tutorial 😩🙏🏼👏🏽. Now time to suffer a not be afraid of coloring and jump right in it😭

hello, you really help me, i like the way i understand what you say easily, a few weeks ago i was watch some a tutorial also, almost of them is like saying 'trust yourself' or 'pick random colour' instead explaining why they do with those color, i'm so frustated, thank you for show up on my youtube home page ily
OH MY GODDDDDDD YOU'RE A GENIUSSS!!!! I'm slowly recovering from a major artblock and coming across this video..... you basically saved my life, thank you🙇🙇🙇
Bless your soul, I don’t know how you did it but you managed to keep me watching the entire video through. I usually have such a short attention span with art tutorials but I was paying attention like my life depended on it, great video!!
You have so much confidence on your art! Idk how explained well but thought all the process you just looks "stretching" without thinking so much and the end you just make an incredible composition and the art end up beautifully!! Idk when i doing anything, even my initial scratch had to be with the perfect lines or else its is bad, and i get stuck for hours and boring of it in the middle of the process.. its something i had to improve it...
First tutorial I understand I struggle a lot with rendering and never knew how to I’ll try to follow this- even if I’m not good with the lasso tool!! Thanks
THIS VIDEO IS SUCH A SAVE FOR ME I kinda never understood how you are supposed to pick the colors and I always had like a block when picking them thinking that I cant pick purple when the hair is supposed to be pink cause it then looks like purple, so I was looking and looking and I didnt get it and then I realized here after a bit how my eyes and brain had a shift and the purples have become smth different; they now gave the hair depth and made it look 3D this just blew my mind! I finally can see it. I hope I can try to apply this now
the first ever artist to actually give me a clear understanding how to shade and elaborating why she does this and that 😌😌 never been more less frustrated
what the actual hell your art is so awesome dude my jaw dropped when I saw your art piece!! and I was even shocked to see that you have low amount of subscribers, YOU DESERVE MOREEE

Thanks for the really well-explained guide!! I really looking forward into how to shade And emphasize my digital art more with rendering, and this helped me out really =D I subscribed! Btw your art is really amazing
As for coloring, I personally like to make a b/w layer without coming up with the color palette (i'm bad at picking colors, i'm an ink/pencil/liner geek) and decide what the colors should look like later on Then I create a soft light layer above the shadows map i've created and play around with colors until i'm satisfied with the result Your approach feels so different to mine
Oh yeah! Ive been having a hard time choosing cors as ghey turn out muddy and just depressing, so i pick out my base color, then enter it on chatglt them ask Shadows, darker shadow, various shadow, luminosity, accent colors, and many more while giving an instruction on what the colors vibe should have Either id say 'someth thats glossy, magical and misty' then itd base the colors on my promt! ❤❤ My colors improvement on the sketch skyrocketed!

I want to improve since my town is so small that there’s little to no art stuff but thanks for the tips! I feel like I learned something very important
Very good explanation! I have one small piece of criticism: the transition animation between the before and after, with the screen shake, made it very difficult to notice what was different.
@@Aka.Glassy You are SO welcome! You made me pick up my tablet again. I've wanted to for weeks, but I never started actually using it as I felt everything I did digitally looked awful. I think I can get better!
