    I think Hegseth goes down. The more the story unfolds, the more I suspect he was luring women to his room with the intent of drugging and assaulting them. It started in the bar with him trying to pick up others. It’s a suspicion, mind you, but it’s based on his history and the circumstances outlined in the story. It makes zero sense that this woman would do this with her family down the hall. Also, one would have to be pretty disturbed to do this then go forward with the humiliation of a rape kit test and charges to make a few bucks 6 years down the road.

    • @lynettes9533
      @lynettes9533 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MistyYenEtty-i8c did you read the police report? To me it sounds more like a woman who regretted cheating on her husband. & probably when the husband started asking questions, she made up this story. Because there is video footage of them in the hotel walking into the room. She seemed perfectly fine & happy to go in. People in the bar said he seemed drunk, but that she seemed very coherent. My interpretation is he drank too much & made a poor judgement to go back to his room with a married woman, & that there was consent but she regretted it, & didn't want her husband to be upset or possibly even to prevent him from leaving her. Either way, at the end of the day, no charges were filed. & in America, our justice system is suppose to be innocent until proven guilty. For some reason nowadays I see many Americans just making assumptions about people being guilty of crimes they weren't even convicted of. & even worse, sometimes, like in this case, people assume guilt when there isn't even charges. & of course sometimes some people will get away with things that they are guilty of. But our Constitution is based on the theory that it is better that ten guilty persons escape, than one innocent suffer. It is one of the things that made America so good, & have one of the most fairest justice systems. But it seems like more & more people view things as guilty until proven innocent. & also I think people to often blur the line of illegal with immoral. If he slept with a married woman, is that morally ok? Of course not, at least most people don't think it's morally good behavior, but that doesn't mean it's illegal.

    • @MistyYenEtty-i8c
      @MistyYenEtty-i8c 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I agree with 80%-90% of what you say. He couldn’t and shouldn’t be convicted based on the evidence of that particular night, therefore, a reasonable DA would not file charges. That’s quite different from being exonerated. And he’s looking to fill a top cabinet position on the world stage where his demonstrated lack of restraint and reckless behavior with women could make him vulnerable to blackmail and compromise world security. In my mind, based on his life pattern and circumstances that surrounded his life at the time, there’s an equal chance that what she said happened was the truth. His history with women does not speak well of his character or restraint in that regard. I did not see the video, but I understand he was making a scene and harassing women in the bar, and she was tasked with getting him back to his room - my understanding was this was her “job” as a member of this conservative republican committee. Without knowing her history, she would be quite reckless to stay all night even if it was a momentary lapse on her part. She would have to be a deeply troubled to carry on with this charade for the better part of 6 years. Didn’t the settlement just occur within the past year or two? So while I agree innocent until proven guilty, the same should be true for her and his own checkered past should disqualify him from this particular position. He’s got no one to blame but himself.

    Spicey doesn’t have to twist himself into pretzel anymore, calling a senator buying sex from minors “icky”. My question to him is how he feel to have justified underage prostitution and now it’s gone, does he untwist right out of the pretzel and scorn despicable behavior? Or does he still think underage drug induced prostitution as somewhat “icky” but not horrible!

      @@abbott5580 no I’m not. Unless I’m misunderstanding the justification of a drug using, teen prostitution using member of Congress begging suggested for the highest legal position in the US. But I see where that extreme despicable behavior could be misinterpreted as qualified for the leader of our laws.

      @@JayKno420 I hope someday you can get out of your fog and see the people you are supporting. The guy quit already so it doesn’t matter anymore, because he even knew he was under qualified and dis qualified for any position, so at least in this case sanity prevailed.
