The price varies country to country due to various import taxes, grants and currencies. Also the price will be determined by options and upgrades. If you want the price just hit up the website for your country. In Norway it costs about 179,000 Kroners. Hope that helps.

Why do reviewers insist on talking about 3 cars, when it is one car with 3 different badges? The pricing structure of the 3 models shows how fickle we are, paying so much more just for a badge, give me Skoda every time.

In the petrol cars the engines are different, to the extent that the VW is in a lower vehicle tax band (may depend on manufacture year). I went for the VW due to this and the fact that there was no price difference when buying 18 months old used. I suspect you are right that the difference will be much smaller between the electric models.

There are a couple of differences which reflects in the price, not just the badge. The e-Up has the most additional equipment like climate control, cruise control and reverse sensors as standard along with the better suspension, which also makes it the most expensive.
The Mii Electric is slightly cheaper but less features (I think it was cruise control but don’t quote me on that).
Finally the Citigo-e is the cheapest, mostly because it doesn’t have the extra equipment that the others have. Of course VW's car is most expensive since it’s their base platform and they chose to max out the extras. At the end of the day it's up to you to decide what features you want for what you can afford to pay.

I can remember the first EV I ever drove , No heaters or doors ,The front bench seat was Uncomfortable , The steering was vague , it had just 1 headlight , 3 wheels and the top speed was only 12mph fully laden ,the Noise was deafening with bottles of Gold tops and R whites lemonade rattling when you you hit potholes and if you hit a corner to fast there would be broken glass everywhere !
I think my Boss Bob had a weak bladder as he was always stopping off at different lady's houses who used to let him use their toilets at 20 minuets each time ! ! Well he was always doing up his flies when leaving their front door . I could never work out how many of the kids in the area looked like my old Boss.
Bob used to let me have a drive when heading back to the yard on weekends while he slept on the bench next to me, he use to look exhausted.
My wages of £2.00 per day in 1977 -1978 wasn't bad for a Boy of 12 or 13.

Funny how all reviewers seem to mention the same “problems” which I regard as benefits (“scratchy plastics”... more durable and who pokes the dashboard anyway? “sitting on the car not in it”... which gives a much better driving position and visibility in my opinion), perhaps it would be better to mention these as fact rather than giving opinion?

My personal opinion is it's still to early in the game to be considering any electric car, as the government and councils are happy to set up ULEZ, but invest in little infrastructure to help you move away from fossil fuels. And at 70% tax on fuel, £1 for 15 minutes parking, £12 to drive in certain areas, it's a huge revenue to lose if people suddenly do move to EVs, ride sharing or public transportation.

I think it's hard to think what the future of the motor industry is going to be, but the SUV is an incredibly unsustainable direction to go in, both with the significant increase in CO2 emissions from ICE SUVs in Europe and the fact that more and more cities are planning to ban SUVs from them.
The city car segment's demise has been very detrimental as well, I feel. When you look to see the current market... it just seems like there's nothing really available anymore. It's all SUVs or something just unsuitable.

We've got to do a whole lot more on pricing in Europe on EV's. This is good, but still way too expensive. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat as me, in that I would happily buy one of the many "tiny EV's" built for 2 people that are coming out of Asia. These are being sold in Asia for around 3,500 USD! Granted there's no airbags and the top speed is very low at around 80kmh, there's no fancy gadgets or bells and whistles, but I would happily forego the bells and whistles. And to be fair, equipping them with 2 airbags and increasing speed to 100kmh wouldn't take much. I'm excited to see what happens when Renault introduce their latest city EV...again, it's perfect, doesn't have much equipment, but is extraordinarily cheap where it's currently being sold....in Asia/India. I believe it's going to be marketed under the Dacia brand when it comes to Europe - and I hope I'm wrong but I'm expecting the price to at least double on this side of the world ☹️
