When I'm channel surfing and I hear the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald on oldies or classic rock, I start cracking up. First time Tim did that bit, I was laughing so hard I had tears.
I was visiting a friend in Duluth, MN earlier this week and I mentioned the Edmund Fitzgerald. He sang the song in this video to me, and I about pissed my pants laughing!
I LOVED the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald! This guy is hysterical. Maybe he should do "Alice's Restaurant" in one verse. That's WAAAY longer than the Wreck!
wow he can sing too...i'd like to hear him actually sing some songs! I immediately LIKED him and subscribed to him...thank you Joe for recommending him to me.
but exactly that, its a symphony, i was meaning a verse, chorus, verse, interlude, chorus type song with vocals and rock setup instruments (vocals, guitar, drums, bass)
@xXWhySoSeriousClanXx Yep... Sure did! If anything, I think Time is giving him lots of exposure. :D So, for those of you getting upset, consider how many more people have now heard the song and have a new appreciation for it. Peace Y'all! :D
This guy is hilarious. One day my mom saw me on youtube and asked what I was watching. I told her I was watching a christian comedian. She was like, "Isn't that an oxymoron?"
I am sure you may have seen the answer by now, but since no one ever responded to you directly, the song is called "Cat's in the Cradle" by Cat Stevens.
@xXWhySoSeriousClanXx: It's always a reality check to see a comment like yours; it reminds me that not everyone is from Michigan, where we sing "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" in elementary school. :D
@Renegade4860 Tim Hawkins is a real comic and has already made it, go look and that he has multiple videos with over a million views and a tour, plus everyone he was just making fun of the length of the song not Gordon or the wreck
When I hear the Edmond Fitzgerald song occasionally on the oldies station, I can't help but laugh now.
Lol
Me too!
I would gladly buy a whole album of like 80 songs that are 20 seconds long
Me too
Same!!!

What would make him joke about "Edmund Fitzgerald", though? That was based on a true story, and 29 people died on that ship
funny!!!
It was funny for sure. But the story itself is sad.

You can’t always rely on feelings, especially when doing stand up comedy.
I LOVED the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald! This guy is hysterical. Maybe he should do "Alice's Restaurant" in one verse. That's WAAAY longer than the Wreck!
this is the only comedian who has ever made me cry
Who's back here after Gordon Lightfoot's passing in 2023? I couldn't help returning to this clip because this is how I know he existed.
Yup same here. I knew of Lightfoot already but Tim’s version always added a more lighthearted memory to the story. Came here to pay my respects.
I love his Gordon Lightfoot impression. Spot on

You did it justice.

This guy is hilarious. One day my mom saw me on youtube and asked what I was watching. I told her I was watching a christian comedian. She was like, "Isn't that an oxymoron?"
Canadian Railroad Trilogy is longer than Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, although it's not quite the slog of WotEF. Still, need a short version 😁
And, by the way...... I didn't realize that the gambler died at the end! I'll have to go back and give that song another listen too, LOL! :)
You are terrifically entertaining.
What's your sign?
1:11 He obviously hasn't heard Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater, awesome song and it's precisely 40 minutes long =p
