I want to thank you for assisting me in troubleshooting an fixing. It help me to get my vw passat back on the road. I had the same boos pressure issue. thank you ❤
I don't even think I have this kind of issue to correct, but I stayed and watched the entire video... yes, I also subscribed. Keep up the informative videos, Brother.
Hello, thank you for the video, very helpful, just a quick question, is the termistor part of the boost pressure sensor? I have a probkem where my VW goes ubyi linp mode buy when it us warmed up yhe yhe problem dissapears...
Hello Jamroz. I hope You can help me. I have check the voltage of Turbo boost sensor. And if the plug is unpluged I, have 5Volt to boost pressure, but if the plug is plugged on I get 0 Volt to boost pressure. Will be the turbo boost sensor damaged?
Thank you very much for such a clear explanation. have rectified bell 4206D that had error 105.3 we finally discovered an open circuit on one wire close to the sensor.
There are so many ways to prove a sensor is faulty. Let me say you need a workshop manual for guidance. The best way to judge a faulty sensor is to check its signal against specification like ones I gave in the video. I will create a video to discuss your question at some stage. Thank you for your valid comment
if the boost pressure sensor is not working, the engine goes into limp mode. Your turbo will not do much My fear is what could happen if the engine is getting extra fuel say from oil going into the combastion chamber which could cause the turbo to runaway. otherwise it should be ok
Hello sir I have a land Rover defender 2.4 Deasel please share some information about boost sensor 4 pin informion and turbo actuator pins out .thaanks
Disconnected, just checking boost signal is 0v which from ECU? Continuity is fine. Rest of are fine. Just boost pressure signal is showing 0v.what could be issues. New ECU.
Thank you for your support. if i understood your question well. you don't have a signal. i am suspecting that you have a shot to ground. disconnect both sides of the signal wire and connect your ohmmeter to one end of the wire and another end to the ground preferably the battery negative. let me know the results you get
The signal wire is your yardstick for checking the integrity of the sensor. If the ecu is providing power and you ha good ground the sensor should give a signal upto a volt at koeo. Autodata is a good guide. I do not like to rely on resistance I would rather check voltage drop instead
Unfortunately, Pin 4 signal wire has 0.00 volts. I have continuity between the sensor connector and the ECU harness. If I check the continuity to ground pins 2 and 3 have higher continuity (300 when set to 2000k) to ground than pin 4 (550 when set to 2000k). Does this mean the ECU is bad?
it appears like your signal wire is shorted. disconnect it on both sides. connect your ohmmeter on one side of the wire and connect the other side to a ground. OL or 1 means not short to ground but if you get a reading you have a short

Thank you for these VW videos. I have a mk5 brm tdi with 400 orginal miles. I look forward to watching these videos.
Veri good sir
I learned alo. Thank you for your time and sharing this👍🏼
Thank you
very informative.
Thank you so much

send me the code then i can tell you which thermistor it is. a thermistor is a temperature sensor
How can I determine if a sensor is turbo boost pressure or a MAP sensor, would it be based on voltage reference?
Do I test the MAF sensor the same way as the boost pressure sensor?
Yes sir the principle is the same
Why bij the tempsensor 2,5 volts?
Hello Jamroz.

you have a short to ground change the sensor

You are welcome!
Great information, but how would I prove that the sensor is faulty?
That’s the only part I don’t get
Will I just have no voltage to the signal wire?
Is there a way of testing the sensor whilst it’s off the vehicle i.e. continuity test or resistance test between the pins? Thanks

If I brake the pressure sensor will the turbo last longer? I know it will be slower.
if the boost pressure sensor is not working, the engine goes into limp mode. Your turbo will not do much

May i know where can i but those white connector that u use ?
I bought them on ebay years back I tried to check my purchasing history but it has since been removed. Go on ebay and search for back probing pins

i will do my best keep watching the space
So if the boost pressure sensor voltage was to drop, what would it mean?
The engine will lose power and may go into limp mode. engine management light will come on

I value your support
How do you know if sensoe is defect what values should you get for faulty Sensor?🤔
Which sensor specifically out of the three on this video are you asking about

Thank very much
Good work
Your support is always welcome thank you so much
thank you
You're welcome
Thank you for clear explaination
Thank you
Hallo Sir can you give me your contact No or you can contact me on LinkedIn with the same name
Hi Emmanuel I'm not on LinkedIn please give me your WhatsApp I will contact you sir thank you
I have same car and I have tested the sensor and got the same values
You got it Themba I'm glad it worked for you
