Out of all of these, the Miata still trump's them in reliability-except for the Honda Beat...which is the one I'd buy. I wish you had added the Suzuki Cappuccino to the list though. It's at 25 years old now and it's pretty cool.
My 2010 Kia Forte SX(Sport) weighs in at 2800lbs and makes 174 horsepower. Theres your alternative. It took care of me through every gas pedal stomp for over 5000 miles now in the past 60 days. And it features a manual transmission option whenever you want with no clutch pedal. Just slap the stick to the right from drive. What a fun car
I really can’t take you seriously with that hair. My 94 Miata with matching hardtop, power steering, power windows, leather, cruise, AC, 5 speed cost me $2,000. Issue with the Z3, very lacking in modding options performance wise. The miata has a much bigger community for modding, but if you’re a base car kind of guy then I would say the Z3 is a great idea to just enjoy a fun car with an awesome interior (but much more maintenance costs as well)
ek/eg civic hatch is the only alternative if we're talking price but finding one that's not riced will be hard although if you're up for the challenge you can get the riced ones and make it a proper civic Others S2000 (rising in price) Brz/86/frs (still quite expensive, but barely needs mods if you, want to track it other than a header and tune to eliminate torque dip) Porsche boxster/cayman/944 (you might find one as cheap as the miata but the repair and maintenance wont be as cheap) Bmw 3 series/z3 (same with Porsche the maintenance is not cheap) Cappucino/beat or any other kei car (you'll have to import which means additional payment)
My list: Honda S2000 S195 Mustang Foxbody Mustang/Capri Chevy Corvette C5 Toyota MR2 Honorable mention: Dodge Viper (second generation). All cars mentioned on this list is RWD and either American or Japanese.
The thing nobody understand about the miata is that it came ONLY in roadster form. As the engineers said, if you make roadster out of coupe, it will become really heavy roadster, on the other hand, if you make coupe out of a roadster, with all the extra metal, stiffnes of the chassy etc. It will become really heavy coupe. The mazda chief engineer of that time was a god.
Second honorable mention, maybe... The Honda del Sol. It’s not rear drive, but it has Honda dependability, it’s very lightweight and efficient, it has tons of aftermarket fun stuff and if you’re well over 6 feet tall like me, you can fit in it, unlike a Miata or S2000. You’ll miss the true sports car aspects, but the DOHC VTEC models will allow you to be distracted.

@@chromemustang yeah if it were me I would take that one especially if it's owned by an old lady 😂 just check oil and tires and all the stuff you probably already know. I've always wanted to own one as I hear nothing but good things about them but lack of a manual transmission turns me off
This is by far the most underrated car channel on youtube. Love your content bro!!
Straight 6 in the Bimmer mate
Yeah this Chanel is the best I for once love an Toyota MR2😂😲 But keep the good work up and waiting for the Ideal shirt can't wait..👌😭😭
Whats your name buddy ? You're a good talker and an impressive presenter as well...!
I got myself a 90's miata manual clean title and souped up lil by lil
I like how he starts it off with an fed behind him un ironically
Miata is always the answer and sorry bro but the people who own miata can't afford bmws soo miata gang strong!
Nice selection.
Brad: What is your favorite Miata alternative?
Me:Miata
Issue with the Z3, very lacking in modding options performance wise. The miata has a much bigger community for modding, but if you’re a base car kind of guy then I would say the Z3 is a great idea to just enjoy a fun car with an awesome interior (but much more maintenance costs as well)
ek/eg civic hatch is the only alternative if we're talking price but finding one that's not riced will be hard although if you're up for the challenge you can get the riced ones and make it a proper civic
Others
S2000 (rising in price)
Brz/86/frs (still quite expensive, but barely needs mods if you, want to track it other than a header and tune to eliminate torque dip)
Porsche boxster/cayman/944 (you might find one as cheap as the miata but the repair and maintenance wont be as cheap)
Bmw 3 series/z3 (same with Porsche the maintenance is not cheap)
Cappucino/beat or any other kei car (you'll have to import which means additional payment)
Yeah bro ill have a ton of fun looking for parts to put in my honda beat
Best mazda miata alternative is mx 5
Thats why i bought one
Porsche 944 is the most interesting car of those 5
A basic 944 is just so underwhelmingly slow...
I like how he says Miatas are everywhere but the thumbnail is a BRZ, and let me guess the rpf1 is most unique wheel
I can’t wait for this video
My list:
Honda S2000
S195 Mustang
Foxbody Mustang/Capri
Chevy Corvette C5
Toyota MR2
Honorable mention: Dodge Viper (second generation). All cars mentioned on this list is RWD and either American or Japanese.
For how much Brad talks about Porsche. They need to come in with that sponsorship. 😂😂
Facts 😂
The thing nobody understand about the miata is that it came ONLY in roadster form. As the engineers said, if you make roadster out of coupe, it will become really heavy roadster, on the other hand, if you make coupe out of a roadster, with all the extra metal, stiffnes of the chassy etc. It will become really heavy coupe. The mazda chief engineer of that time was a god.
You are about to have the wrath of Miata club boycotting you
Hey guys, welcome to my video. Today, we'll be going over cheap miata alternatives.
Starting out with a Lamborghini Aventa-
Top miata mods!!
A Miata is a class of its own. Anything else that is better is a more expensive option
This dude is like the Ali-a of cars
Almost bought a used 944 in the 80's, but got a RX-7 instead. Again, cheaper, newer, and MORE RELIABLE.
