    I know this is an old video, but thank you for posting it. There's a lot of options out there today and it's hard to decide. Your video helped me decide on the Mobius 2.0.

    Thanks for sharing. As a woman I had bought a large purse that was also my EDC. It came in real handy after my aunt's house caught fire. I gave her my unused new dental kit, foods, drink mixes in my bag. Sadly my bag had to retire soon after. I placed my bag on a table in her garage area. It melted in contact. That part hadn't even caught fire!

    I'm curious to hear people's reasoning as to why they put their blood type on bags and whatnot.
    The only possible way I can foresee this being useful is if SHTF and hospitals and everything close (so like a few weeks of lawlessness). Then you get shot/stabbed/whatever and it's serious enough that you lose consciousness so you can't tell anyone what blood type you are. So after you're unconscious, someone has to find you who knows how to do a person to person blood transfusion, which is going to be pretty rare because this isn't a thing that ANYONE does any longer, and this someone will have to have specialized sterilized equipment to do the procedure and a high tolerance for risk. This specialist finds you, they have to find someone else with the same blood type (or Type O) and get them to agree to give you an unspecified amount of blood in an experimental procedure that the specialist has never done before. Then they give you the transfusion and hope like hell your blood matches and you don't reject it (because blood transfusion reactions that are not attributable only to the type of blood are quite common).
    I figure the odds of the above happening at approximately one out of 14.8 quadrillion. Not worth betting a $5 patch on in my opinion, but I'm interested to hear other people's ideas. Certainly no hospital is going to just assume you have the type of blood found on a patch near your body.

      I wanted the patch that had the A+ NKA but it wasn't available at the time. :) When I was in the military it was part of my unit's TACSOP. I like its purpose even though it may never be used, or who knows. I prefer that style of patch rather than a cartoonish style one anyways.

    • @mayfalltribe4747
      @mayfalltribe4747 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marcel Outdoors same. I took to putting O+ on all my gear in the service.
      Anyone with an intermediate understanding of first aid can rig up an IV for drawing blood. You would hook it up the same way you do a saline IV. Not really all that difficult.
      plenty of nurses and doctors and combat medics out there who could stumble on you and know what to do.
      Now imagine he didn't carry his blood type info around and someone COULD render aid. he'd die for not wanting to buy the "$5 patch".
      Rather have it and not need it.

      MayfallTribe 100% agree... thank you.

      If you are incapacitated, maybe unconscious in a car accident, it would be helpful for EMT personnel.

      Most of the items are over a year old or more. The bag is the latest addition which I purchased back in October 2017. If I show a close up of some items you will see some wear and tear because I used to carry them on myself before I purchase the bag. I do maintain my items clean and take good care of them. I’m not beating them up everyday either. But thanks for the observation.
