He is from the Old School all that "common sense" Never thinks he is better than his viewers and makes cooking fun ..... Love his accent and some words come out very funny .... Good man.
One can not help yourself he brings you in, he is a wonderful teacher he projects with such grace so simple he makes seems and is , is the way in which does, he really has fun cooking and his food must taste delicious yum, yum always use "the best ingredients to cook" he tell you "if I can do it you can too". "too much sugar don't worry the next time you put less " you can help but love the guy.

One of the few TH-cam channels that have recipes that actually taste great. There are some channels that are entertaining but their recipes aren't worth trying. Or you have to alter them every time. Jean Pierre however puts out great tasting food that can't go wrong. Another no frills channel I'd recommend is Recipe30. Very underrated but again with great recipes that usually always hit the mark for me.

Him being half-French, half-Italian should make him like, the Ultimate Chef.

I don't know how I missed this video. I had an esophagectomy in February of 2022, 4 months on a feeding tube and I watched Chef Jean. Friends thought I was torturing myself. His love of food and preparing is contagious! I haven't touched margarine or spread! Yeah butter!
As a butcher for 40 years I love this guy.
I envy u Jack, u get to laugh for an hour and then eat that delicious food.
Not only is Jean-Pierre a real Master Chef, also he is very funny, heartwarming, humorous and he has an excellent sense of taste 🧡🧡🧡

Chef is one of my top two chefs on TH-cam. I love it that he doesn't take cooking, baking or himself so seriously. He's not pretentious at all! Just a great teacher who loves food! Thanks for going public!

The single best thing I learned from chef Pierre, is at what level my pot should be boiling: bloop…bloop…bloop vs very fast. I’m serious. That is a helpful way for me to understand how my pot should be cooking.

Loved chef Jean Pierre since 1994 and had missed him ever since - soooo happy he’s back in action on camera. He’s like the onyone to my tomato cone-cassay! Mama Mia! One talented man leaving a big footprint on this world! Bet his mama is a hoot too...would love to see them cooking together if she is still able - it would be a riot to see her bust his chops for doing something slightly different than her tradition! I used to be completely devoted to Gordon Ramsay, but Jean Pierre has won my heart!! Best Chef ever!!
I have made several of Gordon Ramsay's recipes and have not cared for any of them. Chef JP's recipes that I have made are delicious!

I'll never say onion the same way again
I have been imitating his style for many years when cooking for big groups on our river trips. Many years ago I started bringing costumes for those on my cook crew. Just basic stuff like aprons, chef hats with Pirate patches that I made, etc, and we do this on 15-20 day trips. I also bring plenty of Whisky just to keep my cook crew happy. We divide the group into 3 cook crews that cook every 3 days, but I am involved with all the crews. I rarely even know any of the people on my crew before meeting them on the trip. We eat amazing food and have a blast. Life is fun and good food makes it even better!
