THANKS! This saved my research. I gathered data without a dependent variable. With the help of this converted some of the likerts to dependent, and it worked.

The appropriate regression for likert scale data is ordinal regression.

thank you very much. would clarify the first steps in SPSS you mentioned in the video before conducting regression and correlation analysis. e.g. how do you calculate total scores of each variable that have several dimensions with several items for each dimension using SPSS? thanks.
For instance, suppose we have 3 main variables (independent variable), (dependent Variable) and (Mediating variable). each variable is measured by some already established and validated scale. and each scale has about 4 Dimensions with about 3 statements for each dimension. and all items were scored on a 7-point Likert scale 1=Strongly Disagree to 7=Strongly Agree. How would be the correct analysis process for each dimension and each scale? and how would be the correlation analysis between the 3 variables? and for the total scores of dimensions/scales, should we use averages (means) or sums and why?. thank you very much in advanced for your kind clarification.

Thank you sir. But I have this question. There are about 3 items that seems to measure the brand loyalty construct. So did you use all the 3 items in the regression or you used only the overall mean score

Sir ordinal datas are not satisfying basic assumptions of ANOVA so is it ok to test it by regression because we are finding here F ratio

Please suggest me any other non parametric test which suits for likert scale data. I gone through some studies n found krushal Willey test is suitable but still i have some doubts regarding it

I have a question for you sir, I notice that the measure for your likert scale items are nominal while they should be ordinal, please explain to me and correct me if I am wrong

It is ok on SPSS. The overall means are scale variables

@@MohamedBenhimaPhDSir, what if these means (that are scale variables) are not normally distributed. What should be the next step before doing a multiple linear regression (let's say your sample size is 300)
