      In simple terms, T statistics is a cut off value to assess whether or not a particular hypothesis is supported or not. Greater than 1.96 for a two tailed test shows hypothesis is supported.

    Best explanation of Explaining and reporting Regression I have seen so far, it was really very helpful, my coursework is due in a few days and was struggling to interpret data and reporting it. I still have a question, I have precieved stress as DV and 3 IVs which are, coping styles, Personality and Social Support, the coping style has subcategories as avoidant, emotional foccused and problem foccused, similarly personality has 5 subcategories, I have put all these subcategories separately while running the regression Analysis, so Altogether my list of IVs has become 9. And I am running multiple regression ofcourse. So, my question here is, do I need to compute sum of all subcategories into one like for personality, the sum of all 5 subcategories into one and similarly for coping, sum of all three categories into 1. Kind regards.

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First, thanks for your appreciation. I am glad the video helped.
      As for transforming Personality, I would say No, Some variables with sub-categories may be transformed because the sub-categories are very much alike and highly correlated. for Personality, different personalities are far apart from each other and hence, in my opinion that should be kept and analyzed separately.

      Please take the mean of the items to transform the multi item scale into a single item.

      When p value is less than 0.05, this keans significant relationship. The sign with beta value shows direction of relationship.

    Thank you so much Sir! Your explanation is really helpful. However, I've got a question, can I run linear regression as same as your case if all my variables are ordinal ? Thanks again!

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. I am glad you liked it. If your variables are manifest variables, that is a single item with likert scale, use Ordinal Regression.

      @@researchwithfawad Thank you so much Sir! However, do you have other videos that show the interpretation for ordinal regression? I'm quite confused with it but I have to do this for my dissertation. Thank you very much! 😀

      I am afraid not yet. Hopefully i can make one soon.

    I have a question Sir, When we run multiple regression analysis, are there two r square values or just one r sqaure value?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you can use r square, not the adjusted one.

    Great video @Fawad Latif. Do we have to attach the tables as well in the main text, in the appendix or nothing like that?
    Thank you in advance

      Thanks. I am glad you liked it. If adding tables in a paper, put it in the end and just mention in text like
      Insert table 1 here.

    Great and detailed video!
    My question: My questionnaire has to do with how many times per month you attend a live concert.
    Apart from the needed answer in a number form, there are also the data: 'not in universe', 'don't know' etc.
    Should I create a dummy for my dependent variable so that I can only take into account the people who responded with a number data?

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not in Universe or Dont Know, are they under the same question where you are asking a number as well.

      If the variables are continuous, go for regression analysis

      Yes you can use multiple regression. If the scales have sub dimensions, why not go for smartpls
