    I almost feel like the Wyndham Business Earner needs to be #1 on this list not for the current offer (because the offer is pretty sub-par), but for the sheer value and opportunity that card gives you. Plus, how ridiculous Barclays is in their approval process, better to do it earlier in your credit card journey for as little friction as possible.

    Hi Mark. My business is selling trading cards online. I work completely from home and I don't have expenses other than trading card inventory, (which is still a ton). With that in mind, is it smart to apply for one of these business cards or is there a consumer credit card that may fit my business needs more?

    • @MarkReese

      Sounds like you'd benefit from a card that earns 2X points (e.g. Amex Blue Business Plus) if you prefer travel or 2% cash back (e.g. Citi Double Cash) if you prefer cash rewards.

      @@tylerbroek - I'd look into the Chase Ink Business Cash mentioned in the video for a 5% return at Office Supply Stores. Points with this card alone are worth a maximum of 1¢ each for travel, so 75,000 points = $750.
      If you want to make them worth 25% more towards travel (75,000 points = $937.50), consider adding the Chase Ink Business Preferred as well. This card will also give you access to Chase's transfer partners for even greater potential value, and also earn 3X on Travel.

    Hello, I have a question about my credit card. I got a credit card with a $300 limit and the minimum I owe is $17.91.
    It says: “Minimum Payment Warning: If you make only the minimum payment each period, you will pay more in interest and it will take you longer to pay off your balance. The table is based on your standard minimum payment and does not include any past due and over limit amounts. For example:
    If you make no additional charges using this card and each month you pay ... only the minimum payment
    You will pay off the balance shown on this statement in about... 1 months
    And you will end up paying an estimated total of ... $18.00”
    Do I pay $17.91, $18.00, or more than that to avoid interest? And is it best to pay by the statement date or the due date? Or do I split it into paying half by thr statement date and half by the due date? Also, would it be best to use my credit card every month?

    • @MarkReese
      @MarkReese  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Always pay the full statement balance in full to avoid interest. In other words, however much you charged to the card in the roughly 30-day billing cycle is the amount you'll pay.
      You'll pay that full amount on the Due Date, or any date before then.

      😁👍 A card earning 2% will (slightly) beat the online service charge by Pay1040, payUSAtax, and others.
      Paying taxes is also a great time to consider signing up for a new card so the tax payment can count towards the initial bonus requirement. Getting a large bonus can end up being a high return on spend.
