Always the freshest star ratings. Those OTHER guys could never
It’s because those other guys have to watch Collision at least four times before they watch any WWE PLEs.
t h o s e o t h e r g u y s
These star ratings are so hot that apparently, we had a Men's Money in the Back Match instead of a Men's Money in the Bank Match. LOL.1:40.
OUCH. JUST GOR BURNT because of these HOT STAR RATINGS
I think Tonga Loa got his bell rung for real when he hit his head on the announce desk. He was crawling around for a while, botched the nut shot, and looked dizzy at the end. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a concussion!
So do I. He hit the back of his head and didn’t move for like half a minute
It also didn't help that KO repositioned after Tanga Loa had committed to the strike, and KO no sold the butt punch
6:12 I agree with Steve’s general sentiment and opinion on the booking, but the physics nerd in me has to say: the momentum Bron builds up actually helps the case that a limp kick could knock him out. It’s the same reason people say “just throw your bat over the plate” against fast pitchers. You dont need to generate as much force to turn a 102mph fastball around. In a kayfabe world where Sami times it to generate negative forward force to Bron’s face, the faster Bron’s face is moving the MORE punishment and sudden deceleration it’s going to take. And it’s that sudden deceleration that’ll concuss you and knock you out. There’s a world where this is a story about that being the vulnerability in the high speed, head down style Bron has used to stump everyone else. Not agreeing with the booking or anything, just saying
🗣️DEATH, TAXES, and FRESH, NEVER FROZEN Star ratings☕️🍩
Loved when Drew threw a ladder at Jey Uso like a spear 😂
Drew had zero contingency plan for Punk oblivious pretty much lol
My personal star ratings would be:
Men’s mitb: 4 stars
Ic Title: 3.5 stars
WHC title: 3.75 stars
Women’s Mitb: 4.5 stars
Bloodline 6 man tag: 3.75 stars
I’m shocked you guys went so low on the women’s match. That was fantastic.
On TikTok I saw a front row perspective of Chelsea’s table spot. She nailed the landing perfectly. The entire match was fantastic. I really hope they give Chelsea a big push soon.
These star ratings burnt my tongue, but they're so...damn...delicious!!! We're getting prime rib while...THOSE OTHER GUYS...are offering day old McDonald's cheeseburgers
The women's ladder match deserve a 5 star rating. It was awesome from start to finish. All 6 women were really phenomenal
Before I watch this.
Mens MITB 3.5
IC 3.25
World Title 3.75
Women’s MITB 4.5
Six man 3.5
Least imo.
Are you all trying to match Meltzers ratings?
You say you enjoy the bulk of a match then nitpick at little issues and drop to 3 stars....... I don't get it.
Women's MITB is great and gets 4 stars? If it was an AEW match with exact same spots with few to no storylines, I bet it inches close to 5.
Been a fan for a while but I don't get it. Usually isn't this way.
Who cares
@@kinnikuboneman Obviously, I care enough to post and you cared enough to reply. Does that answer your question? I'm sure there are others who care, I just don't know all their names.
I agree 100%. They love spot fest wrestling, so I'm shocked they didn't go higher for the WMITB match. They don't let an AEW match with zero story elements interfere with their ratings, but punish WWE severely when they don't like where the story elements lead.
People forget Gable literally fell from briefcase on his face.
The only logical explanation to Drew not being prepared for Punk is that in kayfabe Drew took him out badly a few weeks ago and probably thought he wouldn’t be there (I still hated how they executed it though)
The people on Cagematch hated the main event, I thought it was alright
My star ratings
Men's MITB: 4.5 Stars
Bron Breakker vs Sami Zyan: 3.75 Stars
Damien Priest vs Seth Rollins: 4.25 Stars
Women's MITB: 4.5 Stars
Bloodline vs Rhodes, Orton, and Owens: 4.25 Stars
I respect your opinions, but i have to disagree. I think 4 of those matches are rated a quarter of a star too high. But once again, it is purely your opinion and I respect it man
My numbers might differ slightly, but I agree that the MiTB matches were the best of the show!
I mean, you’re pretty high overall. Women’s MITB was obviously the best show of the night and better than the men’s.
I agree with these ratings!
I think we are so spoiled on Ladder matches we think the men's MITB was meh. If this match was a year ago it would be so much bigger...
Imagine if they had gable win money in the bank. Punk cost drew in the match instead of cash in. Damien or seth wins either way few different stories to take there, but gunther wins at summerslam, retains at Bash in Berlin and as he celebrates with his family, out comes Gable to cash in on the man who embarassed him in front of daughter who he couldnt take the ic belt from.
Agree about the rating for Bron vs Sami, but respectfully disagree about the finish. Watching the post show interview, it seems like Sami might be headed into a story where he is no longer an underdog, but is getting tired of being treated like one by the fans. I also think Drew's "thing" isn't not paying attention, but his cockiness. The reason he wasn't ready for Punk is because he thought he incapacitated him and there was no way Punk could return. Totally agree about the rest of the matches.
Mens MITB: 4
IC title: 4
Women's MITB: 4
WHC: 4.5
6 Man Tag: 4
Tl;Dr: I loved this PLE.
Men's MitB : 3.5 stars
IC : 3
WHC: 3 (started at a 4 but i really didn't like the botch pin fall or drew not having a contingency plan for punk. And a wasted brief case.)
Women's MitB: 4.5 stars (is iyo ok?)
Main event: 3.5 (what a debut for Jacob Fatu!)
15:25 this is why you’re my favorite wrestling podcast😂
1. Mens MITB match: 4.5 stars (I think everyone is overlooking the fact that these guys really showed alot of creativity in this match with their spots and they didn’t need any TABLES!) very underrated.
2. Sami Zayn vs Bron Breakker: 4 stars (Bron should’ve went over imo but I still enjoyed this match)
3. Seth Rollins vs Damien Priest: 3.75 stars (the botched pin really took me out of this match but I thought the cm punk stuff was still executed well and it was still good)
4. Women’s MITB match: 4.5 stars ( This was the match of the night imo and I would argue one of the best women’s ladder matches I’ve seen in a while) it was a beautiful car wreck imo.
5. 6 man tag match: 3.75 stars (This felt like a smackdown main event match at the beginning but once the ref bump happened it picked up and got really good) .
I think the entire roster threw the concussion protocol out the window for mitb
These star ratings are fresher than any produce at the farmer’s market 🗣️ …Those OTHER guys could never
5:21 are we complaining that finishers….finish matches….? Missed the mark on this one to me.
Men's MITB: 4.5
IC: 3.75
WHC: 4.5 (despite the botch and the failed cash-in, which people are complaining about, this is a great match)
Women's MITB: 4.25 (I would give it a 4.5 but part of the match from the start was clunky just took that off)
Six Tag Team: 4.25
I liked the show overall but I think the main event was kinda meh. Like a really long tv main event.
Agree about Melo being really good in the Mens MITB.
I think Zoe Stark might be dead after that Michinoku Driver on the ladder. That spot looked nuts.
I hope steve and larson gets invited to wwe press conferences
Carmelo Hayes graduated from the “90’s Shawn Michaels Selling” & I love it
My star ratings are going to be ice cold (hoping to get them out by the end of the week) but at least I’m getting a comment in before *those other guys* post theirs.
Edit: This is nearly a week late, but here are my star ratings for MitB:
Men's MitB: 4 (loved the effort they put in, a lot of fun. Melo and Andrade in particular showed out)
Zayn/Breakker: 3.75 (hope Bron gets the IC belt soonish)
Priest/Rollins: 3.5 (the botch took the wind out the sails, but the angle was effective imo. Shame they ruined it a bit on the Raw after)
Women's MitB: 4.25 (sloppy at bits, but the chaos on display was second to none. What an effort by all the ladies)
Rogue Bloodline/Cody and friends: 4 (Jacob Fatu got a good showing here. Just a fun WWE 6 man tag, especially once the ref got knocked out. Tonga Loa is now in my boy stable)
BRUCIE BONUS: NXT Heatwave
Oba/Wes: 4.25 (good David/Goliath matchup; Oba is the future of WWE)
Kelani/Sol: 4 (a complicated match for the experience level they are at, but they worked it very well)
Axiom & Frazier/Chase U: 4.5 (a black and gold esque tag team match. Andre Chase hitting a Canadian Destroyer was a thing of beauty)
Vice/Perez: 4 (good psychological match. Not quite sure how I feel about all the Pop Rocks used for the finish tho)
NXT Championship Fatal 4 Way: 4.25 (JeV'on Evans has made a fan out of me. Liked the story of Trick having to be on the defensive for the whole match, only to lose out by the end)
I, too, was at the seat of my pants
More lava than the inside of a hot pocket.
That hadn't crossed my mind. It might not have been Damien Priest's fault if Drew's music was supposed to interrupt the count. However, match was still very sloppy beyond that. If I rated matches, I would put it in the 2 star range.
I watched the event with my parents who are mega casual fans. So I got some interesting takes. But of all them Solo just isn’t a main event guy yet. However they suggested if he shaved his head kept his facial hair he’d actually look menacing.
Looking back I think priest got knocked out during that falcon arrow
Jacob Fatu gets the MVP award for the night
The only star ratings that hold any sort of weight
ONE HELLUVA KICK!!!
Are these ratings or a box of vegetables? Because helloFRESH !
Not my best work...
That katras are aligning with the observer TOO much now and they are low balling the womens match. 😂 Cmon that was match was insane!
It made no sense for drew to cash in durig the match
I'll save you the trouble NXT Heatwave was a 10 star show, a truly incredible show.
Better than anything WWE or AEW has done this year
NXT is WWE
@@kinnikuboneman NXT is Developmental, WWE is Raw & Smackdown
When did you guys become bookers. Crapping on a whole match just because you think you could book it better sucks.
Money in the back sounds like a painful medical condition
What is the upper limit of this ratings scale? 5 stars or 7 like uncle dave? There is no way that womens ladder match scores over 4 stars on a five-star scale. The entire first half of the match was a bunch of botches. Don't get me wrong, the match was entertaining, but for the wrong reasons.
Steve said his cap is basically 6. Larson never goes over 5
I really hate to be this guy, because usually I love the women’s matches (as a matter of fact, last year’s women’s Money In The Bank match was the show stealer for me), but that women’s match was an awkward, sloppy mess.
It's hard to rate MITB ladder matches because they are always spot fests with a lot of people, but 4 and 4 1/4 stars for the women is criminal! Wtf were you guys watching?
Spot fest with a lot of people?
Thats an AEW Match. So Dave by default will start at 4 1/2 ⭐️
Mens: 4.25
Sami vs Bron: 3.75
Seth vs Priest: 4
Womens: 4.25
6 man tag: 3.75
Worst WWE PLE so far.
Bad take
This has gotta be the most divisive ple in recent memory
Neither ladder match was memorable. Decent enough for sure but they won't be remembered particularly in a year. The world title match was scrappy, sami winning bummed me out in his match and the main event was good belt felt like a really good raw main event
Men's MitB: 3
Sami vs Bron: 2.25
Heavyweight Title: 3.5
Women's MitB: 3.75
6-man tag: 3.5
I have similar reasons to you guys for my ratings.
Men's MITB: 3.5 stars
Sami vs Bron: 2.5 stars
World Title: 3.5 stars
Women's MITB: 3.75 stars
6 Man Tag: 3.25 stars
Mens MITB - 2*
Sami vs Bron - 3*
Seth vs Priest - 3*
Womens MITB - 3 1/4*
Main Event - 3.5*
For what its worth I don't enjoy MITB matches normally. They are illogical in design and often just have the majority of people waiting out of the ring for their spots while those in the ring do highly staged setups that ruin my ability to buy into the match as an actual contest.
Worst WWE PLE of the year. I disagree with a chunk of the booking but at the same time the booking was logical. Nothing on the show was bad. Nothing on the show was great.
I give this video 3.75 stars
First.
4.25 for the Women’s MITB is absolutely wild. It was a sloppy AF spotfest and the worst match on the show. Stars ratings should represent the quality of the match, not the danger taking place and how that makes you feel.
It’s almost like star ratings are opinions and just because you didn’t like the match doesn’t mean others didn’t 🤯🫨😱
@@kamlewisgamingget em
It was a sloppy stop fest yeah that is why it's great
You complain about Uncle Dave all the time but you have gotten no better. Just like Dave if you dont like how something is booked you crap on it. I usally like your ratings because your typically are pretty positive but you crapped on this PLE way too much.
Go back to the more positive views if your going to keep people watching.
If you thought THAT was negative, then you'd have a meltdown from listening to some of those other podcasters.
@@atticus8659 because they went against who they wanted to win, they decided to crap all over the match and I don’t think that’s fair. You call tell Larson is not a fan of Punk so craps on every match that Punk interferes in. typically I enjoy their stuff but I didn’t like how much more negative they were today
@@travisaune5751 This is now the 4th time Punk has done this to Drew. Larson and anyone else has every right to not like that decision. It's a valid criticism.
@@atticus8659 that is what happens in a blood feud you don’t let them have success just because you want someone to be the world champion doesn’t mean they should. It literally is the point to not let them be successful because of that other person.. I don’t care if it’s 20 times that he goes for the world title punk should screw him every time.
So the woman botch a whole lotta spots and the match still better than the men's?
What botches?
Yes, still the best.
