Today we're seeing if I can build a functioning gaming PC using parts I purchased from Wish.com and the wish app. The only other catch is.. I've never built a pc before so this should be a challenge.

😂😂 the motherboard manual also tells you which slots you should be using. He would've been better off reading it then wasting time with a video. The b450 manual is crazy thorough.

The display issue is due to the fact that it's a mislabeled gpu. The photo on the listing was for a 1060 8GB model, and the text said 1060ti 8GB model, but neither of those actually exist. It's some cheap no name Chinese made GPU trying to install the drivers for a different graphics card

@@sophiacorreia6988 he swapped them to see if it fixed his issue with the computer turning on. Upon realizing that it was actually the power supply and not the graphics card he put the wish card back in. Then his display issue arose

***GENERAL COMMENTS AND TECH ADVICE BELOW***
As someone who is a tech enthusiast, and might go into computer engineering next year (I have to specialize my engineering path for my second year of university), this was a half-decent attempt. the actual building in this video could have gone much much worse.
There should always be a one slot gap in-between each stick. Also, while following the condition in the previous sentence, put the RAM as far away from the CPU as possible.
if you placed one fan on each end of the case, it would probably be better for air flow
The selection of parts/hardware on the other-hand is a complete disaster, but still had some good parts.
Case ($95 what Sean "recalled"/60$ according to the wish ad on screen) - I know nothing about the case itself, it looked decent for $60 (terrible for $90), looks a bit restrictive on airflow, as the front panel is not fully mesh, but could be worse)
Motherboard ($-unknown, amazon~$150, newegg- $130) - a good motherboard for a meh price, i know there are cheaper, yet still reliable MB's out there, but all in all not bad.
Peripherals ($50 Sean, 18$ Wish ) - You get what you pay for, but once again... could be worse
250GB NVMe SSD - crucial is a well known brand, they make decent ssd's, no complaints on this.
RAM/memory ($ and exact model unknown) -16 GB of RAM is good, and XPG is a decent/known brand, although more RAM might be needed depending on the exact use case.
Graphics Card/GPU ($46) - oh GOD, OH NO, just NO. that is an old graphics card, probably a GT560, which has been modified to appear as a 1060 8GB (i dont even think an 8GB model of this card exists) or a 1050ti. Also, trying to install incorrect drivers might have lead to the issues with the bars.
Power supply/PSU (146$) - EVEN WORSE THAN THE GPU, I wouldn't trust it to NOT explode and THE PRICE, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, complete rip off, a B-stock EVGA BR 80+ bronze PSU ($50) would be a much cheaper, and much more safe option.
Fans ($6) - once again, i know nothing about them, but they look cheap (and probably LOUD)
Mouse pad- highly rate, perfect, 11/10. (honestly, its fine, what do you expect from a mouse pad, the only bad thing could be that it is kinda small, but that's about it)
CPU (cba with looking up price) what i do know is that a Ryzen 5 1600 AF is essentially a 2600, but is cheaper.
