That seen when Aang uses the voices of all the Avatar's.....
That seen still make me trimble...
The face he makes, the mindset he is in.
    Man what a great show.....

I can definitely see The Desert being uncomfortable to watch as a child. Its because the whole Gaang is on edge. And the each member of the gaang also loses something.
Aang whos a happy go lucky pacifist becomes angsty and somewhat negative because of the loss of Appa he loses his usual kindness. Sokka drinking the cactus juice hallucinates and ends up losing his intelligence. Because of the sand everything is somewhat fuzzy to Toph, so in the desert she actually becomes a blind girl and loses her usual strength. The scarcity of water in the desert leads to katara losing her usual waterbending. However Katara is the one who keeps the Gaang together through the Desert, she imo is the MVP of the desert.
One of the biggest reasons why aang is the way he is in the desert is because if his trauma. Mind u this is a 12 yr old kid who is a genocide victim and hasnt been to a therapist. It hasnt been that long since aang found his Mentors skeleton (3 to 6 months ago) .
Aangs friends and Appa, especially Appa, are in a way his coping mechanisms. Aang tries to look at the bright side to cope into a better mental state. We see this in literally episode 1 when he finds out hes been in an iceberg for 100 years he says "i atleast got to meet you" to katara.
But now that appa, who is more of a brother to aang instead of a pet, is gone his mental state starts to deteriorate.
And i honestly dont think he killed the buzzard-wasp but he did indeed cut its wings off. Which in a way is more brutal than death. Now that creature cant fly, has to crawl around to get anywhere and would die a slow painful death. And this just shows that u dont want to mess with this fun loving monk.
The moment with aang in avatar state and katara calming him down and aang breaking and crying woth the music will never fail to make me shed a tear.

About the scene of Katara hugging Aang, I didn't feel much when I watched that scene as a child or as a teenager, now that I'm an adult, whenever I see this scene I start crying, even now with this video, Aang furious and in pain, Katara understanding his pain, both crying, one because he was feeling so much pain and the other because he was feeling the pain of his friend feeling this way, it affects me so much these days

This video is great, keep making videos!!
I’m not sure he killed the wasp but he might as well have.
BTW, what do you think of the transition to the next episode?
PS, quick well-meant feedback: Great audio/video quality, great video structure. Maybe try to be more concise and not repeat yourself, even if the video’s shorter, I think it would still benefit from it.
This feedback is meant well and I genuinely think your content is great and very real, keep doing what you do, I hardly see people say what they think because of the hostile public!

Thank you so much! You're right he might as well have killed that wasp 😭
I never noticed that transition when I was young BUT it stuck out to me when I did my rewatch. They're swimming and enjoying a waterfall right? I remember being like wait... what? We were in the Desert???? But after my initial shock, I think it works. These episodes were designed to be aired a week after the other and not binged all at once like I did. I assumed the Sandbender tribe kept their word and escorted the Gaang out of the desert, and I remember thinking I really would have loved to see that. I still would love to see it!! But it probably would just be a lot of silence. All our main characters just almost died from the desert, and it should be awkward being escorted out of there by the people who ARE THE REASON YOU GOT STUCK THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE (!!). At the very least I still think that way out of the desert would be interesting. Even if it was just one scene and not a whole episode. But the tiny time skip makes our Gaang's emotional state (and especially Aang's) in the serpent's pass more believable. They're not the usual gaang, but they're not the desert gaang. If that makes sense.
And thanks for the feedback about being more concise and not repeating myself!! I totally agree with you, and that's something I've struggled with forever. It encourages me to do better knowing there are people like you wanting to see me do better and rooting for me!!

Amazing video! Instant sub from me as soon as your “bald bitch” line made me spit out my beverage.
I’m gonna disagree with the comments and say that I don’t think Aang killed the buzzard wasp. The reason I say that is that we see Appa do a similar attack against a swarm of them later on in Appa’s Lost Days, and they do get knocked to the ground, but ultimately get up.
But, I don’t think it matters whether it died or not. Your point still stands, and I love that you bring up that moment because it is important. As you point out, Momo was free and the buzzard wasp was fleeing when Aang attacked it. That attack was out of retributive anger, and contrary to his pacifist values. It is a dark moment for him, and I think it informs his guilt and desire for emotional detachment which he exhibits in the following episode.
Again, fabulous video, glad the algorithm did something right for once!

Thank you so much! You are kind. I always skipped Appa's Lost Days, so I don't remember that Appa moment you mentioned. I'll look out for that on my rewatch! (Not because I want to analyze it, but because it'll be a nice thing someone on the internet told me about that I now want to see.) And I agree with you, whether or not Aang killed it, it doesn't matter. It remains a dark moment for his character.
And I never noticed the emotional detachment that you mentioned! But you are so right! He does exhibit that in the following episode. I always felt he was off and you putting it that way perfectly explains why. Thank you for that!
