The ball is more important than life, luckily that boy survive.
I expected after the cut on his arm and the radiation exposure that the story would end with the "monster" dead and the boy beginning his transformation into the same kind of creature.
That's exactly what I expected too - so sad - no "happy" ending - but nontheless looking worthwhile!!!
I didn't understand the cut on the arm either
Would be very cool! But this is meant for children and than it is not so cool. ;-) It is already a bit scary for kids I think.
Interesting thought) but in my opinion, it was not a monster, but a creature created and exhausted by the effects of environmental pollution
That was a biohazard ☣ sign, not a radiation, or fallout sign.☢

Робот хотел поиграть с мальчиком , но напугал его . Он спас его ,а сам разрушился . Машина с интеллектом и , биоробот , которую выбросили на свалку .

This is some Disney quality animation. It really deserve more attention! :D
The detail put into everything...this is amazing and deserves more recognition than it has. Especially when it focused on the kids face when they were looking around after entering the pit for the first time. It looks beautiful. And I would love to see a full length story about this, it’s intriguing and beautiful.

Indeed. The ending's background reminded me of "Typoman" - only grey instead of brownish yellow.
Perhaps the goal of this film is to raise the awareness of children today for the future.

Whatever this could have been, must have remember. That it Too was a life! A life form that breathed, smelled, walked, hungered, and loved, but bc of humanities inequalities and inequities and the puzzles and experiments laid upon our lively creature...created what we think as monsters! But who is the monster? You, or I? In the end, all it wanted was to taste life just one more time...just once more....thank you all so much for a well written, produced, edited, and everything about the animation...beautiful. And the ball EQUALS the...pièce de ré·sis·tance
in end, real monsters are us, humans with our test on everything. i learned that long ago.
Monsters are nothing but a figure under another’s skins, they are not as they seem to be. They may look like you and me but in the end it comes down to its very characteristic nature!!!!!

The last minutes show the death of the Earth, the pipes are smoking, and the Earth is littered with garbage.
The robot wanted to play with the boy but scared him. He saved him, but he collapsed-a machine with intelligence and a biorobot that was thrown into a landfill.
Wonderful movie!

Technically, superb presentation. The emotions are extremely well depicted. However, the storyline remained a bit incomplete. The opposite of 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. A boy in a space that is not his own. Perhaps the concept of earthly territorial rights of what lies above and under specified. We must remain where we belong

I was like what the f***. Was that creature trying to give him the ball? Did it want to eat him? What did that creature want? What the heck? Also GREAT job. This needs to be made into a movie. Where the boy goes to get the ball about 30 mins out of 1 hour and a half and throughout the movie the creature trying to give him the ball but we think it wants to eat him but it's just a misunderstanding.

Great CGi But what was the liquid which destroyed the demon Machine not the boy .
I think the liquid didn't reach the boy, because the creature stoped it.
Awesome CGI, not even close the story. Why would the "friendly" monster chase the kid like crazy if it meant to save him? Besides, the kid wouldn't have gotten in the radioactive zone if it wasn't for the monster. Doesn't really make sense.
The monster was trying to stop the kid from entering, but because he was at the entrance, that's why the kid had no choice but to run further it, and that's not the monster's intention.
You can think of the monster as a clumsy person trying to express his good intention but fail

Kid should move to Montana.. clean and clear up here... Just a little cold... in winter and warm in summer.. Only have to worry about a few bears and wolves...

Turned 75 yesterday.. and I still feel like I'm 74 haha

There's no doubt that awareness is being well-spread regarding saving Earth for next generations and I must say that I do have great belief in coming generation regardless the ever-growing corruption and greed been going since ancient times but again.. evil shall never succeeds because good is wise and stronger.. like you. 😉

Guess I should explain.. I'm a sculptor.. I've over 2,000 videos on youtube on me sculpting whenever I do it.. I'm currently working on three horses.. Anyway.. thought I should be more clear as to what I was saying above..

The vimeo version doesn't seem that different apart from some obvious differences in the skin tone. Perhaps the lighting was affected by some setting on TH-cam? This video is still pretty watchable, regardless.
