I bought the 40lb bow just now lol. If at all possible when you find the time, can you make a short video on how to slightly upgrade it? Maybe a few changes you would do to yours... would be awesome. Appreciate the videos and thank you for setting these kids up.

You put up a video and I watch it. Usually more than once. If that's just once a month, that's fine. If it's every day, that's fine.
Just . . . _thank you for not whining, bitching, griping, moaning or complaining about "views" and such._ I've been with ya for a _really_ long time now. Many others have come and gone, but I have been loyal and supportive of you and your mission precisely because you have been solid for us, your subscribers, for the entire time. I've spent thousands at your "store".
When I was a child I had subscriptions to _Outdoor Life, Field and Stream_ , and _Popular Mechanics_ . I joined the Cub Scouts and only left the organization when there was no longer a Den close enough to our rural area for me to remain joined with. We were poor. And there were no adults in our community willing to take on the role of leadership. But we had a good man at the local Church that had a boys club organization set up by his church. He taught us everything the Boy Scouts would have, but without the propaganda, the uniforms, or the BS. Those days are gone now. And a lot of us former subscribers to _Outdoor Life, Field and Stream_ , and _Popular Mechanics_ are now subscribers to you and the Pathfinder Team.
Just want you to know, you are appreciated by a lot of people you'll never meet, but whom know you just a little all the same.

Bought one of these 40lb bow's afew years ago, on the seller's web page it said the brace hight is 9.4" = 23.8cm. On the arrow shelf, I've glued on two 6mm carbon rodes each 10mm long, horizontal and vertical. Forming a L in the middle of the arrow shelf. Over that I glued some thin leather stripps 10x50mm, (25mm being the middle, over the carbon rodes) to form an arrow rest. As well as that, I've fitted/bolted on a black "5 Arrows Bow Quiver Holder Quick Release Rack' This makes it looks deadly, being all black. I call it my Urban Combat Bow.

The best part of the ambidextrous handle is the ability to practice the ancient way of shooting arrows to the outside of the bow for faster load time. Definitely not a modern way of shooting, but worth mentioning.

I’ve been teaching archery professionally to kids from ages 8-16 for the past six years. I highly recommend this bow to all of my students. It’s extremely sturdy and handles abuse well, especially when you have that one particular student who dry fires the bow after you tell them not to.

Only thing I'd do is put a metal band around the raw cut fiberglass, so it doesn't fray out over time. Little epoxy and you'd have a much tougher limb. ;)

If you look around you can find the black hunter for $60. Thats a good bow if your draw length is max 29 inch. And you can choose between recurve or long bow.

But Holloween evening 2023 I sent a 500 Spine Gold tip with a 125 Gr VPA HEAD Straight through a Doe at 15 yards...This Bow, (40lbs) is more than Capable of bringing down Game...

I went on Amazon and bought one. I enjoy archery and decided to add this to my collection. I have a Samich Sage which I paid about $100 that works great. It also is a take down with a wood riser. I also have a slingshot that shoots arrows. Very powerful in a small package. Thanks for the videos. I've learned so many things from you. Thank you.

Please do a video on the same 40 pound bow after you have used it for a few months in the field. Would love to see how it holds up after months of use. Thanks. I would worry abit a the screws and nuts. If they are cheap soft threads they could strip out after a few take downs and assembly.

*Thanks for the video, the short review, and the demo.*
I could see purchasing several dozen inexpensive carbon fiber arrow shafts properly spined for the 40# bow; applying nocks, vanes, and threaded inserts; and then searching for a set of complimentary small game points, bird points, fishing points, and broadhead points that would all shoot to the same point of aim, more or less, as one another. Along with some sort of rudimentary field quiver, a glove/tab/thumb ring, and a pair of elevated arrow rests, one would be all set except for the necessary practice to become a competent archer.
*I wonder if there's any way to shoot this bow Asiatic style with a thumb ring? I'm ambidextrous, and the 40# bow would be my maximum weight for this 70-year-old man with osteoarthritis in both shoulders. I've been looking at inexpensive asiatic recurve bows because they're generally speaking the only ones commonly available that are designed from the get-go to be shot ambidextrous, which my doctor insists on my doing to alleviate unnecessary stress on my right side rotator cuff tendons.*

I have that same bow iirc! It's great! My wife and I also gave one to my cousin. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for all you do to help others. Whenever I need a tv show that's like an old friend that's both a comfort and helps me get my mind back right I know I can put on those old episodes of Dual Survival that you and Cody did. It's always happy to see you pop up on TH-cam as well. Whenever I think of you and Lundin I think both y'all are good people I appreciate them being friendly to me in this world even if just from me being a distant fan perspective albeit a distant fan that takes y'all's life lessons to heart quite often! These types of bow 🏹 are very quiet compared to compound bows and compound crossbows , a small length of inner tube rubber on the limbs helps to reduce vibration noise even further. Very simple and effective with two single blade bevel edge points nothing fancy which helps the point roll off bone 🦴 and continue instead of stopping.

If I remember right (because it was several years ago) your first video I ever watched - or one of the first, for sure, you were showing how to make a stick bundle bow for survival hunting. The channel, if I remember right, was still called Pathfinder or maybe Pathfinder School. I always thought that was the coolest thing even though I admit I never got around to trying it. I haven't seen many other people show that method for creating a bow, either.

    I have the same bow.
I shortened the limbs by a little bit to increase my draw weight.
Removing the molded end caps was not easy, but it can be done. Decreasing the length helps as well. It’s fiberglass, it’s integrity is fine unless it dry fired.
Please remember to teach NEVER DRY FIRE.
Drop and give me a HUNDRED push ups, and money to replace the limbs. Depending on strength, a single dry fire will destroy a bow.
Thanks for letting me know, not every decision I make is stoopad

I shoot that same bow almost daily. Unfortunately it is mislabeled as a recurve. It is in fact a longbow. As is evidenced by the fact that the string doesn't touch the curve at the tip. Other than that, it is a great shooting bow. If I didn't have 4 bows I'd likely shoot it daily, but gotta know all of them. And it's even better being ambidextrous, I seem to have a few lefty friends!
For a better rest than provided I use the loops part of stick on 'velcro'
If you are gonna buy a backpack bow, and you like that one: spend a little more and buy a Black Hunter take down. You will not regret it.

i would like to see your future mods on your own bow. i wonder if this would be a cheap way to bowfish? add a reel and your done!
