There’s always an alternative Luxury where you don’t need to break your bank. The bottom line is as long as we enjoy what we can afford & not go beyond our limit. There are plenty out there with great quality. And you cannot tell the difference between the Authentic & Inspired one……
I have all 4 of those bags too! I think the pattern of the Dior one is my favorite but I feel like I can't use it everyday (both my large and small are TDJ) due to the fabric canvas. The neverfull MM (Mine is also a My World Tour version too!) and Onthego is probably the most carefree but I mainly use the Onthego for travel. Thanks for the comparison video!

The weight of the bags when full depend on what you carry bc the totes themselves are fairly light. I’m only 5’0” and I like both sizes so it depends on whether you prefer larger or smaller bags 🤗

I love the book tote but it’s not the most practical to carry especially for a student - if you have your heart set on a book tote the original larger size may be easier to carry, otherwise I think the LV OTG GM is perfect bc it fits a ton, has multiple strap options and the coated canvas is easier to clean 🤗

Which scotch guard do you use? I’m too scared to spray it. There’s reviews that it turns some white fabric yellow. Do you see any discoloration? How should I spray it?
I'm way late here lol but I have one being delivered today and was just thinking about this. I got a black and white Chanel Ladies First Shopper Tote a few years back and sprayed the white parts with scotch guard (still can't believe I did that so fearlessly lol) and didn't have any issues with yellow discoloration. I think to be on the safe side, I'm going to spray this Dior bag with Apple Garde's Rain and Stain Protectant. It's very similar to scotch guard in how it works but is made to use on leather. I've sprayed it on LV vachetta and Gucci canvas items multiple times without any issues. I hope this helps! ❤️

Isabel Cortez i know you wont like my suggestion, but id go for a Longchamp Le Pliage for school. You dont want to ruin a beautiful designer bag with books, laptops, and that kind of stuff. This advice comes from a luxury lover with 40 bags in my collection including Chanel, LV, Dior, Hermes... still, i have 3 Longchamp le pliage totes that i use for rainy days or days i want a comfy indestructible bag. My le pliage are Neo with are a bit more expensive but totally waterproof and you can wash in the washing machine. I have the Dior booktote in the big size and i would say, i would go for the small size for school or every day and thr big size for travelling. Much love from Shanghai ❤️

It’s a great way to protect the handles since mitzahs can be cleaned but you can always use non-designer scarves and twillies too 🤗
