Lol i imagine wearing Ganondorf's clothes during the final battle would trigger a secret cutscene where Ganondorf complements our attire only to mock our attempt to "amuse him" by wearing his own clothes.
Speaking out loud considering the purpose of the Lightroots was to spread "Light" across their respective locations it would have made sense had their activation been somehow connected to the Light Dragon and it's ultimate fate after completing the game. Personally it would have been cool if the "good ending" of the game had been partially determined by the player activating all the Lightroots to learn more about the Light Dragon's condition and wether it's possible to "reverse" it.
Whereas it took me nearly a year to complete Breath of the Wild, with the game itself being new, vast, and exciting for it’s time; Tears of the Kingdom felt like a well deserved “thank you” to all the players of it’s prequel, with it having tons of new things that only a Botw player would really understand. Totk definitely has it’s charm, but a lot of it stems from it’s predecessor, and that’s why in some regards I like and appreciate Breath of the Wild better.
TotK fixed everything I hated in BotW. The build mechanic is straight from my dreams. There is a story and you are actually part of it this time. The weapons still break but I can keep them much longer than before. BotW is unplayable to me now.
@@whitelasagna6786 The "story" still has a lot to be desired considering how lazy of a "villain" Ganondorf is to sit back and let Link do a bunch of heavylifting before entering his boss room and putting him in his place for the millionth time as if there was any doubt the game wouldn't end in the most predictable happily ever after way imaginable. Nintendo had the perfect opportunity to "revamp" Ganondorf by making him an active antagonist who's constantly trying to outsmart and counter Link's attempts to stop him and yet he does NOTHING but sit back and wait for you to come along and give him his most deserved karma award for doing his usual "evil stuff". That seems to be a recurring theme with Tears of the Kingdom - disappointing rewards. I swear, the vast majority of quest rewards are either random consumables, DLC/amiibo items from the previous game, armor sets from the previous game, or the item equivalent to a middle finger aimed at completionists. Hell, even the rewards for completing the dungeons aren't worth it. At a certain point, I pretty much just gave up entirely on thinking I'd get anything worth my time and effort. Definitely not ideal, but it helps.
I love Tears of the Kingdom as a game, and the reward for collecting all koroks sucked. Putting in so much work just to get literal korok poop as a reward (I don't know whether it is actually poop or something else). I really liked the reward for completing all shrines in botw, as Link got a new green outfit resembling his traditional look but in botw style, and ToTK's is...interesting. Not my most favorite design, but imo, it does look pretty cool, but also kinda bad at the same time.
@@mattrodgers157 Yeah. After hearing everyone's criticism about it, why did Nintendo choose to go on the same path AGAIN and not try to think of a better reward for collecting all koroks?? Even a new korok outfit for Link for collecting all 1000 seeds would have been fine for me, but no, we get poop AGAIN.
While I think Zonai Link looks pretty neat, I wish he would have been more draconic in appearance, though more importantly, I wish the reward would have been something that makes Link game breakingly overpowered, much like the Master Cycle Zero. Possibly even having a One Hit Obliterator class weapon, whether it makes you go down in one hit, or it makes you invulnerable to most attacks.
I hate how some people call the dungeons in TotK a return to form, when they're..... literally not 💀 Like, the Water Temple is about as weak as the NES dungeons, they're all as or more boring than the Divine Beasts
@ZeldaMaster Good. I'm not rushing you or anything. It's just that I've got to the Spirit Temple, but I'm just taking a break and playing Pokémon Violet.
As someone with mesoamerican background I find that for me the aspect of the hero appeals as some sort of nahual (shapeshifter) truly the spirit of a wild nature, beyond of the "of the wild" set. But yeah that's just me.
I’m just glad I’m not the only one who felt that way. It’s almost another arrow to the knee that there will be no DLC. My replay value went down a koror price of poop when they announced that.
A way for the master sword to never run out of "energy" would be nice. It's the bane of evil's existence. That's why I haven't dropped hours on BOTW. I want to go around and fight, not constantly worry about weapons breaking. Completing all shrines could have been a cool way to implement that.
I’m confused with myself. I stopped playing halfway through and haven’t finished it yet. Also I still don’t know how the game ends because I want to discover it. I love the franchise so much but couldn’t figure out why I felt I needed to have a hiatus. But I am going to finish it. I must.
U do know that Nintendo doesn't care for quest rewards right? Given the fact that around 90% of the side quests rewards are rupees it makes sense to me that Nintendo doesn't like these rewards but feels like they have to put them in because side quests are expected nowadays. Personally Id prefer to have a longer main quest if the side quests are just rupees rewards that don't even renew with the blood moon
Easily one of the worst parts for me is going about and looking for whatever piece of armor or a penn quest and coming across gloom hands. They're just annoying at this point
First of all, let me say... "I am not a furry!!!". I am currently inching toward 100% completion of TOTK, so I can rightly proclaim to be one of those "dedicated players"! Contrary to your experience, I was blown away upon receiving the 'Ancient Hero's Aspect'. I found it a perfectly sufficient reward for completing all 152 shrines. I'm also a huge fan of the aesthetic and thought it clever on Nintendo's part to tie it back to the original Hero first seen in that tapestry in BOTW, the one who took down Ganon 1000 years before. When maxed up to level 4, this armor gives the player an 84 defense buff, the highest in the game. Why didn't you mention this in your video? By the way, 'The Dispelling Darkness Medal' you receive upon activating all 120 light roots DOES have a purpose! When you are ever exploring the depths, you'll notice the distant horizon is far more lit up having the medal in your possession.
Hey fan from Maryland here. Really enjoy all of your content, but want more on totk. Not sure really what to request as I have almost got 100% myself, but I rather enjoy watching and listening to you play idk you seem like a very cool person to be around.
i kinda like the ancient hero's aspect not the furry part but how much symbolism it has for the triforce like i really wonder how many gloden deritos there are BUT when i my anishal reaction was negitive like REALLY negitive but after a while i kinda liked it ( ngl i might be just a weirdo who knows )
The ancient hero’s aspect is probably the most off putting design ever. He barely looks like a Zonai, he have no draconian features which are the core elements of the zonai design
The reason why he doesn't look like the "average Zonai" like Rauru and Mineru is because he belongs to a different _breed_ of Zonai which looks more lion-like in reference to the Hero's Courage compared to Rauru's goat breed which stands for Wisdom as per their Light powers connecting them to Hylia and the Golden Goddesses. Seeing as Aonuma has confirmed the lack of future DLC my guess is that the Ancient Hero will be further explored in the next sequel to Tears of the Kingdom to explain the many mysteries surrounding his existence including his specific relationship with the goat Zonai.
I find the outfit cool, however, in my opinion, I believe that it should've been replaced with the depths award instead, and then the award for completing every shrine should be you can use the champions ability (from botw) or a brand new ability in general since you did so much work to complete all the shrines.
The lore part about the Hero's Aspect is cool and all, but imo it looks like shit compared to what the tapestry showed us. Literally said my very same thoughts about the armor. go zeldamaster
I always thought it would be cool to be able to select between the different races and genders to play as with different storylines and endings depending on who you play as. As well as having different gaming mechanics for each race. Missed opportunity. How cool would it of been to be able to play as Zelda herself with the ability to transform into Sheik. I thought this era was about progression not regression. Being able to play at least as Zelda in like a hard mode or something would of made the game more worth the effort to beat.
I got bored in both BotW and TotK many times. Too much exploration, sparse story, micro managing inventory because of durability (my favorite weapons broke easily and am forced to play the best weapons), and worst of all puzzles and “dungeons” were the weakest aspect. Now world building and characters? Arguably the strongest in the series in my opinion, which is why I wish the stories had a bit more substance.
Oh no you changed it from the goofy icon you had before! :( The shadow was very endearing previously haha. Also, contrarian opinion, but I like the Ancient Hero's Aspect, and yes, it's probably because I'm a furry.
Shrines give a crucial reward so it doesn't make sense why nintendo would think that people skip shrines would be so bothered by a cool reward as either way they are missing out on something important.
I just got all 1000 korok seeds a week ago in tears and I am wondering why I wasted so much time collecting them all when I knew that you litterally only get a golden pile of s***t for your troubles.....
5:47 oh bot you are so wrong. It looks insanely good. Only negative part is that you either wear the whole thing or nothing at all. That I don’t like. I would wanna try the head on other sets
It’s 2023, of course Link is a degenerate furry soy boy powerbottom. It can be no other way. I hear the next installment Gannon is replaced with climate change and links sword possesses the power of the green new deal. Zelda is also replaced with Zelnaynay and is they/them.
To me this game should have been called ocarina of time 2 because they took so much stuff from ocarina of time and put it in tears of the kingdom. And also my opinion I think that tears of the kingdom is better then breath of the wild.
I will say that one of Link’s ancestors being a redhead makes sense (biologically speaking), because in order to get the shade of blonde hair that Link and Zelda have in BotW and TotK, you need a redhead and a blonde.
Yet aren't "genetics" more of a magical thing in the Zelda universe? Gerudo's have a genetic predispossition of birthing only daughters at all times almost as if some godly power was forcing them to birth women at all times unless a single male is born to rule the tribe as their king. Wouldn't surprise me if there was a magical factor to explain Link and Zelda's skin and hair color.
At the same time though. It’s also possible that the climate of the Gerudo region has something to do with that (as indicated by their skin tone). Even the other Zelda games say that the Gerudo birth only one male per century (or in other words there’s a 1/10 chance of the male side of any relationship involving a Gerudo to pass down a Y chromosome). I’m pretty good at biology, so I will try to find a biological explanation.
@@panosmosproductions3230 Don't forget about the _Gerudo Pirates_ of Great Bay in Majora's Mask who are ALSO only female despite living in a beach away of from dry land. Genetics is clearly not a factor when talking about skin tone in Zelda.
Don’t forget that the primary determining factor that causes mutations and an increase in likelihood of a male passing an X chromosome, is testosterone, not humidity and precipitation.
@@panosmosproductions3230 I'm just saying that the Gerudo in Termina also share their Hyrule counterparts predispossition to females as if the environment itself wasn't a factor otherwise we would know of males _somewhere_ in Termina to exist regardless. That we never hear or such males implies the Gerudo to be bound to strict magical rules which forbid them to birth men out the single one has died off. Magic supersedes genetics.
@@afkxx1 It's really not. It copied the same story beats and progression from BOTW. It added two new "maps" which mostly contained filler and left alot to be desired. This game felt like a meal of all appetizers and no entree. It all just felt so lazy. More shrines and more korok seeds...again. They couldn't even be bothered to give you a different reward for collecting them this time, it's just the same golden shit. You can't get any more lazy than that.
I agree @@masteraustin11 honestly though I'm just so over this game and think Zelda deserved a better game after 6 years.
At least Galaxy 2 gave you a different reward unlike Mario Galaxy 1
@@traviscunningham7062 exactly
While I think Zonai Link looks pretty neat, I wish he would have been more draconic in appearance, though more importantly, I wish the reward would have been something that makes Link game breakingly overpowered, much like the Master Cycle Zero. Possibly even having a One Hit Obliterator class weapon, whether it makes you go down in one hit, or it makes you invulnerable to most attacks.
I watched your majoras mask videos almost 7 years ago man your still going. Keep it up
I hate how some people call the dungeons in TotK a return to form, when they're..... literally not 💀
Like, the Water Temple is about as weak as the NES dungeons, they're all as or more boring than the Divine Beasts
When are you getting back to playing Tears of the Kingdom?
I’m guessing he won’t.
Soon
@@ZeldaMasterlet's gooooooooo
@ZeldaMaster Good. I'm not rushing you or anything. It's just that I've got to the Spirit Temple, but I'm just taking a break and playing Pokémon Violet.
😂😂😂 Dark Luke is hilarious. More rants please
Fr
Agreed
We need more Dark Luke. It feels way more authentic. I know he didn’t really care for this game and lost passion for the let’s play.
Feels like it’s been a long time since we saw dark Luke
Babe wake up Zeldamaster posted 🤩
I don't know, I personally enjoyed botw more than totk.
I totally feel your disappointment and frustration. I'm so done with this stupid game!
Easily one of the worst parts for me is going about and looking for whatever piece of armor or a penn quest and coming across gloom hands. They're just annoying at this point
I don't think the ancient hero's aspect was that bad, it wasn't great either. I wish it gave you attack up x 6 or something though.
The art at the end of the video- Top tier! Excited about more theory and LP videos! Welcome back ZM!
Part 16???? 😢
That armor was the best what is wrong with you!!
I can agree , the hero's aspect was like the sonic movie before they fixed his character
oooh like the dark ZM edit for this video and even the picture change too :) reflects feelings for this video
I find the outfit cool, however, in my opinion, I believe that it should've been replaced with the depths award instead, and then the award for completing every shrine should be you can use the champions ability (from botw) or a brand new ability in general since you did so much work to complete all the shrines.
The game would’ve been so much better if they didn’t include the zonai at all.
Tbh i was disappointed when i got all the shrines
I got bored in both BotW and TotK many times. Too much exploration, sparse story, micro managing inventory because of durability (my favorite weapons broke easily and am forced to play the best weapons), and worst of all puzzles and “dungeons” were the weakest aspect. Now world building and characters? Arguably the strongest in the series in my opinion, which is why I wish the stories had a bit more substance.
I LOVE the Tunic of the Wild its fresh and nostalgic at the exact same time 😕
You’re not alone. Love using it in smash too
@@bitbybrick1080 Exactly. Calling it ugly is outlandish
Oh no you changed it from the goofy icon you had before! :(
The shadow was very endearing previously haha.
Also, contrarian opinion, but I like the Ancient Hero's Aspect, and yes, it's probably because I'm a furry.
I really hope that Nintendo realizes that the rewards for certain completions are really not worth the trouble
They put to much work in exploration not enough dungeons I want both
@ZeldaMaster why did you stop doing the play along videos for TOTK?!
I don’t think your profile picture has ever been the “dark” version of yourself
>:)
wy is your profile red and grey?
Wind Waker is my all time favorite Zelda game
It’s 2023, of course Link is a degenerate furry soy boy powerbottom. It can be no other way. I hear the next installment Gannon is replaced with climate change and links sword possesses the power of the green new deal. Zelda is also replaced with Zelnaynay and is they/them.
lol
I see you're back and making videos. Curious if you were planning on making more of your 100 percent playthru. Waiting on video 16 let us know
Glag you're feeling better too i hope
The biggest disappointment was Mineru’s construct. It’s so weak and slow it’s basically useless
To me this game should have been called ocarina of time 2 because they took so much stuff from ocarina of time and put it in tears of the kingdom. And also my opinion I think that tears of the kingdom is better then breath of the wild.
There is 1 more question where does battle quest take place oh wait it’s just a mini game in Nintendo land
my bro is on his dark arc. but jokes aside i 100% agree
And Its Good To See Dark Luke Back
I will say that one of Link’s ancestors being a redhead makes sense (biologically speaking), because in order to get the shade of blonde hair that Link and Zelda have in BotW and TotK, you need a redhead and a blonde.
They should have locked the final Zelda cutscene behind completing all of the shrines
Zelda master what sort of reward would you want instead?
Anything but this. Even if they just made him look more like Rauru or Mineru I'd be happy.
I like the aspect armor just as long as I don’t look directly at it’s head
Honestly so true
Still, after BotW and TotK, skyward sword is still my favorite zelda game
Mine is Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time
Personally I don't mind it. I feel like it's meant to add some more mystery to the lore.
Yeah I agree with you Luck Zeldamaster I don’t like the reward for all 150 shrines it looks really stupid
I disagree with this but I respect ur opinion tho either way the game was great!
Looking forward to part 16 of Let’s Play!
i love the ancient hero set, no i am not a fury
Idk, it looks very ancient Egyptian to me and I think that’s the best part of the set.
I actually liked the hero’s aspect and tunic of the wild I thought they looked cool
So Amazing tears of the kingdom the ancient hero aspect is fenomenal ver very cool
Are you ever going to finish the walk through??
He said hopefully he’ll begin posting the LP again this week.
ToTK
Its just collecting after colldcting after collecting
And its not fun
I just want to ride my horses man
I dont wanna mark down all this stuff
Breath the wild kind feels unplayable after playing totk
Ikr TOTK has much better UI
And the damage weapons has in botw isn't as good
BOTW was the better game and felt fresh. TOTK just repeated the gameplay loop and added a bunch of filler and weird mechanics.
@@mattrodgers157 how dare u say something like that
What about champion to sage power
Did you ever complete the tears of the kingdom let's play?
So.. the ancient hero was a green Moghma?
Can we all just start admitting that TOTK actually sucked?
it didnt? one of the highest quality games ever made (:
@@afkxx1 It's really not. It copied the same story beats and progression from BOTW. It added two new "maps" which mostly contained filler and left alot to be desired. The depths were the biggest disappointment of all. The building mechanic really didn't do it for me but that's subjective you might have enjoyed it. This game felt like a meal of all appetizers and no entree. It all just felt so lazy. More shrines and more korok seeds...again. They couldn't even be bothered to give you a different reward for collecting them this time, it's just the same golden shit. You can't get any more lazy than that. I fail to see 6 years of work in this title. Honestly I could write a book of things wrong with the game, but I'll stop here.
@@mattrodgers157facts. Worst Zelda ever made
How long did it take you to %100 the game.
I got to 99.5% and gave up.
I wish the game fixed the shitty repetitive nature.
You sound exhausted in this video, Zeldamaster
