    That JB Weld job you did looks great...IF the bike is gonna be a wall-hanger and nothing else...

      No wall hangers.. knowing my handy skills the bolts would fall off, I'll be doing some ride outs on this. Tidy up the weld, new rear cable and tube then job done 👍

    Hi Mike great video and well done for getting it done ish lol 😂. Take the crank back off put it in a vice and hit it straight, I had to do that with one of mine lol 😂 cheers 🥂

      Cheers Paul.. yeah, crank, tube, rear brake cable and gears and all done.. another 'nearly done' one to add to the increasing pile of scrap :)

    I had to jb weld my mk3 Chopper, it's good stuff. ❤

      It is pretty good stuff to be fair. When I do it next I'll make a cleaner job. I've just got no patience though..

    • @gingerphil

      @dealermike1331 Same here, I whacked a load on, smoothed it out a bit whilst it was still wet then a couple of days later painted over it. A professional would've sanded it down real smooth before painting. 😆

    • @dealermike1331

      The plan is to smooth off the excess with some sand paper but expose the repair and not paint... A bit like when they fit new toilets and they expose or showcase the pipe work

    • @gingerphil

      @@dealermike1331 You can't compare a Chopper to a toilet. 😁

    • @dealermike1331

      The theory of exposure in regards to pipework and repair to frame.. pipework is engineered extremely well, unlike my weld that isn't engineered extremely well but the theory of 'showing off someone's' handy work has the same meaning.. but yes, you're right, no direct comparison to a chopper and a toilet

    Yet another great video Mike keep up the good work. And like you say you just have a go your not an expert. But as long as you enjoy what you're doing that's all that matters. Take care buddy looking forward to the next one.

      Cheers bud.. yeah, I certainly wouldn't charge anyone for my 'bike resto services' but for me just to learn some new stuff on I'm happy with the results. Sunday video out tomorrow on the grifter, trying to get the frame straight, a very kack handed approach but I'm certainly giving it a go

    Hello Mike, I swapped one of my Burners last Saturday for a Chopper Prismatic. 😊 It's cleaned up really well, the shiny bits had some surface rust but nothing major. I'll have to take it to The Wheels Festival next month. 😀

    • @dealermike1331

      Hello bud.. apologies for the late reply. I did see the Facebook post you put out. Looks like a clean prismatic. I'm up for the wheels festival. Be good to have all the bikes set out on the grass. Can we just turn up or do you need to book ?

    • @gingerphil

      @dealermike1331 I guess with bikes you can just turn up but for motorbikes and cars you have to book. I was talking to my local bike repair bloke and he wanted to take some bikes down but couldn't find anyone to contact. You'd think being a 'wheels' festival they'd want push bikes too. 🫤

      Did you take your prismatic to the wheels festival Phil ?

    • @gingerphil

      @dealermike1331 Yeah I took it down and had a ride up & down the seafront last Saturday. 🙂

      @gingerphil I was planning on going down at some point but had family stuff to sort . Many nice comments?, do they ride better than the mk3 ?

  • @gingerphil

    I'm swapping my 1982 Tuff Burner tomorrow for a mates mk2 Chopper Prismatic. It's all yours & Paul Martin's fault. 😅 I've had the urge to get a mk2 Chopper for a while now after watching you two. 😊 i still have two other Burners though. ❤

    • @dealermike1331

      You've got a team burner, is that right?. MK2 choppers actually ride really well.. welcome to the MK2 chopper madness 😯

    • @gingerphil

      @dealermike1331 It was my mk1 Tuff Burner I swapped for the Chopper. I loved that bike but I'm 6 feet tall so couldn't really ride it anywhere so it just hung on the garage wall. At least with a mk2 Chopper I can actually ride it even if it is just to Gorleston beach & back. 😀 I still have the mk2 white Mag Burner and mk2 Andy Ruffell Team Special. 😎

    Tip -when you us cranks bent why not show us with camera from above so we have a better view of the Bend ?

    • @dealermike1331

      Cheers.. I'll include the image of the bend in today's video. Video out later today on the grifter with the bent frame. Already done some filming on that, I'll edit in a view of the bend on the crank arm. Thanks for the feedback

      I suppose it all depends if you plan carrying the Mrs on the back rack.. mine can walk to the off licence, I'll whizz along up ahead on the prismatic, it'll be ok for a 1 mile trip

      @@dealermike1331 Do yourself a favour and get it repaired properly Mike, the last thing you want is that collapsing beneath you whilst you are riding on a main road.

    • @dealermike1331

      Thankyou.. first attempt I'll admit it's rough, very rough. However JB WELD itself is really strong, lots of content on the stuff. I did some research before hand. It was recommended to me. Once the excess is sanded down and cleaned up it'll look better.. thankfully I live in a very rural area, so once I change over the front inner tube and the rear cable I'll try it out on a quiet country lane. A customer of mine has a mig welder, it may go there to be fair

      Nice job. If you’re happy thats all that counts🤜 I enjoy spending time on my bikes. Could literally spend all day outside tinkering and test riding. At 51 years old, brings me back to being a kid again and forget life’s stresses for at least a few hours or so!
