I have watched this more than 5 times and each time I cry. I was blessed to be admitted into the Native Culture in Canada and to learn so many values that have helped keep my head on straight for my many years. To pay tribute to Lori, was awesome to pay tribute to all the Natives who have given so much touches me deep within. Thank you

This story has so much more than the family's life story. It is also a human story of love and of dedication and of friendship. A story of people.

This is the most awesome of all the Makeovers. I was in tears throughout Part 1 and Part 2. Everyone was so respectful, thoughful, loving and kind in honouring the memory of Lori, a true hero. What has been done for these native American people is so beautiful and long overdue. So far I have watched this 5 times and each time it moves me deeply. A follow-up would be wonderful. Perhaps this could be done for other Native American tribes in other parts of USA or Canada. They NEED to be able to honour their culture in the time-honoured way they know. And, we all need to respect their way of life and how they cherish the earth and the animals. We could learn a LOT from them if only we took the time to communicate and reach out in love and respect.

one of the most meaningful home makeovers I have seen, I hope they have managed to keep the house and not lost it due to taxes, (those taxes on all these homes built by the homemaker team should be removed) unless the house is sold on to another person. But for those getting these houses and new homes they are needed and not all can afford to keep them. It must be torture for those that lose them because they cant afford them, it is just another blow and struggle for them.
That said what you guys do for these people is absolutely amazing, the team themselves, the building companies doing the build, the volunteers, and the background people you never hear about like the catering, the people who help clean these places for the first year... foe everyone involved I lift my hat to you all.

So sad to see native Americans still leaving in extreme poverty on these reservations. This is one of my best extreme makeovers, it was amazing to see a worthy family be built this wonderful home. Their daughter gave her life for her country, it's such a selfless act second to none. I hope she's looking down at them with a big smile on her face knowing her family are going to be just fine. And then there was the centre for the veterans, they too deserved this and much more. I am actually shocked that after all they have given for their country, it had to take the extreme makeover team to come build this wonderful place were they can all gather and share their stories/memories. America is their country why isn't more been done for these amazing and loving people. Their ancestors went through so much pain and suffering, unfortunately nothing much has changed in 2022!! It's time for the elected leaders to start spreading peace and love rather than all the hate. Shame on all these savages who use thier power to spread hate.
Like this sweet grandma said, we are all one ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻✊

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is also known as the "Golden Rule”. The actual quote from the Bible is from Luke 6:31, “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” Simply put, this phrase means to treat others the way we want them to treat us.
