I may not buy into that kind of heirarchical stuff in my own life but I can appreciate what it means to someone like Jeff and be thankful that he got to feel such pride in his role in dessert storm and his receiving this coin from Colin Powell himself must have been amazing

As always truly AMAZING! In the UK I'm ashamed to say,we have nothing like this for our war VETERANS! All my family were war veterans,my father was a tank driver based in India,my mother was in the land army,then as the only child a girl,I joined the army too! BUT on a exercise with guns,I got shot 6 Times! BUT! Not with dummy bullets! Some man has made himself into out quarters stole a uniform and a gun with real bullet's,an Ak 47 rifle with a full,as we say,metal jacket! 9 of us were shot,then he shot himself! I had been hit in the neck& bleeding HEAVY to the stage they didn't think I would live! But operation after operation I survived,but suffer from severe PTSD,& as 2 bullets ripped straight through my stomach,I'm unable to have children! What this man has done,I salute you sir! Aswell as your daughter! May her journey be a safe and great service,I hope your AMAZING new wheelchair,gives you the freedom you once had! & Your home too! ATTENTION! ARMS,SALUTE! To you & ALL ! War veterans throughout the world!

It irks me that the government and the military don't help their veterans disability and all they need after being called up to fight wars that are in other countries. When they get home with PTSD and and and 😢
the government should have provided for this special man.
I wonder despite all the extreme makeovers made on houses, the power,gas & water bills still has to be paid. Then the Gov. puts their own cents worth in adding V.A.T. value added tax or even taking their homes leaving families homeless. To them only the rich get rich, the poor stay poor.
yes. I have seen a video on some of the families not being able to hold on to their homes because of those costs
This is a show. A feel good series. The over the top kids rooms are short sighted, bc kids grow up fast and the parents get stuck with remodeling... A lot of these people can not afford homes like this. they need more modest homes that they can afford taxes on, utilities.... sad really
The way western countries treat their veterans is DISGRACEFUL and we all should be ashamed ! These people and their families offer the most precious thing we, as human beings have, their lives and the lives of their loved ones, to keep us safe and secure enough to b1tch and moan about make-believe issues and spouting about words being violence.
These people could tell you what violence really is and it is because of them we don't have to experience more of it than we do.
Whether you agree with the various wars or not (I generally do not) the soldiers themselves do their duty and what they believe is right (obviously not every single one of them, but the majority so far) and they deserve respect, love, care and the "easy life" from the end of their tours to the very end of their lives, however long that may be !
