isn't removing the unupgraded corrupt was more beneficial than removing an upgraded whirlwind especially when the whirlwind can progress the shuriken even if we don't have any energy, while un.corrupt just eats a card draw?
it doesn't tho his deck was kinda reliant of having corruption in play (or at least made significantly better by it) so second corruption gave him much more consistency I don't remember off the top of my head but it like tripples the probability that he will draw corruption in first 2 turns or something EDIT: nevermind just remembered he had a bottle for corruption it that case you may be right
He played sever soul to exhaust corruption a few times. An attack couldn't be exhausted that way. Maybe we can conclude that hitting shuriken and pen nib isn't as important here as drawing the deck's better cards more often. Or consider that the only way he can ever lose is if he finds his hand full of attacks and no card draw and eats a bunch of damage... maybe there's enough other card draw that it doesn't matter, but maybe attacks that don't draw cards have a big down side here. Also, one can imagine circumstances (maybe) in which he might not want to play corruption on the first turn... then the second corruption is potentially pretty good.
I'm liking this theme of Jorbs wearing the same colour hoodie as the character colour he's playing

I'm no Jorbs but typically the answer to this is, corruption exahusts itself whereas whirlwind does not.
