Just wanna say thanks for this video! After 45hrs of play I had only reached Act3 boss on 3 lucky occasions. After watching this video I finally beat Act3 (TimeEater) with Ironclad first time, so this video obviously helped a tonne. It's weird how chuffed I feel right now. Almost to completion:)
1:29:30 looks like Berserk got a buff since this video was recorded. It used to be 5 vulnerable? Now it's 2 vuln, upgraded is only 1 vulv (free if no enemies attacking or block is covered on the turn). Seems situationally strong to me.
When the last video you watched had jorbs yelling at the twitch chat for an hour about how bad upgraded armaments is then you watch one where he says it's a strong upgrade.
The game has changed a lot! This is still super useful but I didn’t realise the collecting the shard things and the heart was added later. The heart is the thing I always really struggle with just getting enough block in there
Yeah, Ironclad is the only one I haven't been able to kill the heart with yet, after many tries. It always ends after otherwise pretty good run with a turn when I just don't draw enough block on a big heart attack...
@@cryssanie feel no pain really helps. Especially if you can get some exhaust going. Entrench helps too and blockade if you can get it off early and mitigate the high energy cost. I’ve beaten the heart with him a few times now but I still often lose when I get to the heart with ironclad :/
Flame Barrier is probably my favorite Ironclad card, so awesome against multi hitting enemies. Also Disarm and Juggernaut/Metallicize combo are up there
Watched this run, then beat the heart on Ironclad for the first time. I never picked Shockwave, Reaper, or Anger until watching this. Got all 3 and got strong value from all 3.
Been watching a couple of streams now, and I after watching act 1, I am pretty sure the current version of Jorbs would have factored in pen nib more often on every decision (especially during Lagavulin) :D
That disrespect for Dropkick. I feel you - but I’ve had runs won off that card- as you described, it’s about being able to exhaust stuff that isn’t dropkick and then cycle it through a few times to get more Dropkick. Exhaust engine - there is plenty out there. Corruption in the extreme end, true grit a more tame choice.
Wouldn't there have been an argument to take Calling Bell because we have Peace Pipe? Probably not worth it for this deck, but seems like a fun little combo to me.
that would be sacrificing a lot of the opportunity cost of what you can do at the next three campfires. you're usually pretty lucky if you can visit that many, but removing the ability to upgrade and rest at each for a random three relics is usually pretty bad.
Snecko eye is trash without ways to generate extra energy. But I also just have horrid luck everytime I take it. My hand is full of 3 cost cards like wayyyy too often.

Well i learnt that enemies in act 2 give you wounds, and enemies in act 3 give you burns.

No. Snecko Eye is one of the best possible relics as long as your deck is not heavily anti-Snecko.
Less good with Silent overall but that's it.

This run got absolutely carried by the rng on confusion, like half the turns he played more cards than he should 🤣
