A nice value add for CGC. Agree, they have the best crystal clear slab, good pricing, solid turn around and very good customer care. Absolutely great for PC, just would like to see the resale value close the gap vs PSA.
The only way anyone catches PSA in resale value is we, as the collectors, decide that they are and stop paying a premium just because PSA. I for one don't pay higher prices for PSA and only buy them when they are being sold for similar (win a few dollars) as SGC/BGS/CGC or is the only one at the time I'm looking.
@@roseripz With SGC being owned by PSA's parent company (they are not directly owned by PSA - more of sister companies now) SGC has the possibility the best chance to close the gap - Provided Collector's keeps to their word and keeps SGC as a separate entity - especially since they already had made quite significant progress in that regard. Hope that CGC can get there too as they are the second best company in my opinion behind SGC. Maybe Beckett can undig itself from its whole. The more options the better.
I think for guys who usually have less than stellar autos or can get streaky like Ohtani, it makes a difference to get a 10. Plus you can then label it as a 10 which will always get more eyeballs and interest
This is going to be major for their adoption rate with sports cards. Beckett has significant market share with in-person auto authentication so will be good to have another option for slabs.
CGC charges an extra $2 for autograph cards when grading, its tier +$2. That fee doesn't makes any sense to add to the collector if they are also paying for JSA. However, i am assuming CGC is going to charge that $2 per card fee. Can you confirm that?
The Ken Sugimori example they had on their social media posts was a fake auto they authenticated, hence why they already deleted the post. They also had misspelled his name on the label... I don't trust their non-witnessed autos at all for TCG artists.

@themandalorian400 Agree 100%, will be interesting to see what happens with SGC now that PSA owns them and if CGC can close the gap.

Did you see the PRE-ORDER for 2023 Topps Composite Football? Cases sold out in minutes, boxes still available at time of this post for $249.99

The best case I can see to use this is training camp signatures for star NFL players. Get Mahomes to sign a card
It says that autograph grading is free and you can specify a minimum grade.
awesome 💪
I like their prices and slab. Always liked JSA. Still on the fence on whether I will be using the service.
I see shady authenticating with JSA authenticating TCG cards

I would be all in if they had the yellow SS label. Huge miss imo

Gotta laugh at CGC using a second rate authenticator lmfao
Dumb...charging $$$$ stick with sgc then...free autos. No membership fees or extra charges........no......
SGC does not authenticate non pack pulled autos autos.
