Untouched Wilderness Solo Packrafting & Fly Fishing Adventure in New Zealand

- Experiencing an untouched fly fishing wonderland. It turns out that being far from everywhere doesn't make the trout easy - but with some careful tactics which I share you, you can see how huge wilderness brown trout can make it to the net. The day couldn't get much better but still manages to shift up a level with an exciting packraft out.
New Zealand is world renowned for stunning scenery and epic sight fishing and this adventure doesn't disappoint. It's late in the season so conditions for fly fishing are challenging in the gin clear river but finding feeding fish delivers some stunning eats and an incredible adventure.

Great content as always mate. Another long walk in away from civilization. Cracking fish to get onto, what more can you ask for. Its quite a genius idea to pack raft your way out of there, easy on the legs. It gives you a bit of a luxury to hike in as far as you can and make it effectively a one way trip via walking for the most part and you can just raft your way back down stream. Not to mention you would get back a lot quicker. You certainly don't see many people do that down here in the South Island. But that doesn't mean its not a smart idea. Its just the weight you carry going in adds with volume. But thats what the gym is for right👊
Cheers for watching! Yep packraft is superb - if u trade out the tent and Matress it's about same weight to add the raft, paddle and life jacket. On paper it seems sweet but after 20-30km walk in you can sometimes second guess things 😂 winter now back to the tying vice 💯🔥⛺
@nzadventurer nothing beats being a long way from suburbia, but as you mentioned, winter is here and time to fill up the fly boxes again.
