Great video Peter. I am a CSC Spyder/Ryker Sr Instructor in Ontario & we use BRP-supplied Rykers for training. I am going to forward this video to my students, excellent stuff. Thanks for covering the adjustability & the accessories, great info. 600cc is a twin cylinder with about 50 hp & the 900cc is a big jump to 82hp & it is a 3 cylinder. Students on my courses include all ages, but many even into their 70s! Cheers, Ronny
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, AND for sharing this video. I really appreciate it. I've always loved Can Am's 3 wheeled vehicles from a distance, but they're new to me when it comes to experiencing them. You definitely have to see them in person to "get" them. But the more I get to see them, the more I appreciate them! These are SUPER cool!!
I went for the 2023 sports ryker 900 all black very sinister look to it and simply because for great looks that the rally. Those rims so so beautiful. I'm picking it up tomorrow in West Virginia dealership so so excited.
Love how it looks like a Cylon, from Battlestar Galactica in the front. Great video. I had an earlier Spyder and loved it. I was able to test one of the pre-production models too. I got some strange looks from people as I drove by, but mostly thumbs up. I think the white wheels look terrible - almost like lawn mower wheels. I was wondering how the Ryker does on long trips on our 80 mph highways.
I think the Ryker (in the 900cc model) would be fine on 80 mph highways. Around us, the speed limit isn't greater than 68 mph, so 75 is a common speed to travel, and the Ryker would be fine at that. Having said that, if you own one of these, you should be looking for secondary highways to enjoy them more (same thing with a motorcycle) So if you had to do several hours at high speeds on the straight and boring highways, they'll be fine, but like with any open air vehicle, the secondary roads are where these are going to shine. As far as the white wheels, they do look better in person, and they're very rally racing style, but they're not going to be for everyone. I'm guessing the designers understood that decision, and are ok with it. As I mentioned, I like them much better in person than on camera. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!
Another great review. First recommended upgrades would be a set of foam slip-on hand grips, Baja rons sway bar and end links, upgraded seat or add a cushion. You will thank me if you ever go for those hour plus rides.
I don't do fuel mileage tests because I can't guarantee consistent conditions. I do plan to ride this in the summer and I'll report back on my mileage, but that will be situational to how I ride it. What I would do is hop on owners forums or Facebook fan pages and see what real owners are saying. Oftentimes owners will share how they ride and the mileage that they're getting, and you can see some consistency to the numbers that won't show up in a one off review by a reviewer.
What can you get to protect your front rad from stones etc. Spyders you can get grills to protect the rads but the ryker rad is pretty vulnerable. Just something to think about. Great video by the way I enjoy getting other views for this style of trikes.

Do you need a special license for 3 wheelers or is a motorcycle license enough?

@12:50 At least on my 22 there's a pin on the cruise control mount that does not allow you to move the button. unsure on the 23.

I wish they would make a manual transmission. More control and more fun. Good video by the way. I’m thinking of getting one.
I would like to see you demonstrate passenger comfort.Eg.Seats and backrest.
Ok. I'll do that next time. Thanks for the suggestion!
As an amputee could it be converted to hand controls for the brake
Yes. I can’t remember if it’s a factory accessory or not, but google “slingmods” as that website has advertised a hand brake conversion.
I wish they could figure out the goofy fuel gauge issue. I love the Rally. Cheers!
I have no problem with my 22 sport fuel gauge
That looks like fun as well. Trouble is it’d be too likely to be stolen over here…..
Guess it’s also very responsive and stable.
Yeah, there are so many ways to make these your own. I absolutely love them!
Does the security system actually work now or can just anyone steal your Ryker still with any RFID key?
I heard a little about that issue. It's been totally rectified. No issues with anything like that today.
Can you advise about the fuel mileage of these bikes?

They should support a six point harness for the passenger 😊
Just duct tape them on. 😉
@@PeterLoweOne Good idea 😂

Rykers have protector mods as well.
just get some tight mesh to layer inbetween the front plastics and radiator, defs wont stop a boulder but at least the superficial usage type stuff
You can get mods for it our if you mechanically inclined you can make your own
It's just a pipe dream for me 😢
That thing costs millions in our country.
