As a PRX fan, I love KangKang's playstyle, and I was so happy when he won, he deserved it so much after all the doubt and all the haters saying he's too aggressive or overheats too much or the fact that China is behind the other servers. Well, they proved that you can indeed win with their playstyle, something that PRX has been trying but failing to all these years. A true duelist, a true carry, a true superstar, and definitely, a true protagonist. Champions trophy holder with an MVP to boot. The best series of all time, record-breaking feats, truly entertaining.
Kang Kang has been around since 2021 when Edward gaming made it to the first Champions in Berlin, 2021, but he hasn’t rised up from. He did make it in Champions 2022. Right before his popularity in 2023. And he finally closes out with one of the biggest tournament win this year and his career. Everyone love Kang Kang because of who he is and out shines everyone this year. Edit: Huge shoutouts to their W Sub in EDG: S1mon, he was on fire when he help out the team with a lot with of support. One of the best rookies by far this year.
Kang is great. But I think Chichoo and Smoggy are the uderdogs carrying the weight aswell. The clutches they pull and chances they make are crazy at times
The difference is when the AWP got nerfed, his peers caught upto or even surpassed kenny. Kangkang on the other hand when his jett got nerfed, surpassed his limits and became the final boss of valorant.
I think Kangkang's probably the closest we'll get to the enigma that KennyS was in CS, largely because of the aggressive boom stick style they both had. I think probably one thing that speaks volumes about Kangkang though is his commitment to developing his game. The extra work he's put in over the last 12-18 months to propel his agent mechanics, movement and rifling to the next level paid off massively, and it's not like he was even just average at either of those things anyway to begin with. None of what I've said is to shit on Kenny either, they're different people and different players and regardless of any comparisons in terms of scene impact that anyone can make, I think we should enjoy and appreciate what both of them have brought to the table.
EDG had a better strategy and comms this time and always adapted their strategy if needed ,something i didnt see the other teams doing hence why edg won rhat tournament, this new coach is good
Consistent at what? Losing? Team Heretics lost every single Winner's Bracket run they have ever been in, and tbh they only went against teams that are mental-boomed after losing in the Winner's Bracket anyways... Consistent is not the right word to use for Team Heretics imho, the word "opportunistic" would be better as they are really good at beating other losers when they have just been blasted by a better team in the Upper Bracket.
The end of TH v EDG on Bind was absolutely crazy. EDG were down 8-12 and were coming back. I think round 22 or 23 they were in the exact same position where TH mollies the spike, but EDG literally body blocked the molly so they could defuse. Then in the round TH won EDG wasn't able to body block the molly and couldn't do anything about it.
interesting that the pronunciation of "kang kang" wasn't not correct once by the narrator in this video, and all the match clips casters give you correct way to say but you still chose not to say it right
the comeback against prx was the gas they needed. as much as prx played the tournament very badly (no disrespect), they were probably one of the most favorite as the champs
